Not Pregnant

***BETH'S POV*** I stood frozen in place as two huge wolves charged towards us, their jaws dripping with saliva and their eyes burning with ferocity. I felt Darcy's hand grab my arm, pulling me behind him. He stepped forward, raising his arms in a defensive stance. I could see the terror in his eyes, but he was doing his best to hide it from me. I was shaking with fear, my mind racing with thoughts of what might happen to us. Just as the wolves were about to pounce on us, I heard a high-pitched whistle coming from the direction of the cabin. The wolves stopped in their tracks, their heads turning towards the sound. Then, as if on command, they turned around and ran back towards the forest. Darcy and I were left standing there, our hearts racing and our minds reeling from the close call. "What just happened?" I asked, my voice trembling. Darcy turned to me, his expression a mix of relief and confusion. "I have no idea," Darcy said, his brow furrowed in thought. "But I'm sure we would have been in big trouble if whoever blew that whistle hadn't intervened. They must have some kind of control over the wolves." "But who would have that kind of power?" I asked, still trying to make sense of what had just happened. "I have no idea," Darcy replied, a worried look in his eyes. "But we should get back to the mansion and figure out what's going on." As we made our way back to the Alpha's mansion, the events of the night played over and over in my mind. I still couldn't believe we had come so close to being attacked by wolves. What's more, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone, or something, was watching us. I kept glancing over my shoulder, half expecting to see glowing eyes in the shadows. But there was nothing there, just the trees rustling in the wind. "Get inside," Alpha Darcy commanded, shoving me into the room that he always locked me in. "And don't even think about trying to escape again. You're mine, and you'll stay that way for as long as I see fit." I stumbled inside, landing on the hard stone floor with a thud. I wanted to cry, but I didn't want to give Alpha Darcy the satisfaction. I bit my lip, trying to keep my emotions under control. "I'll see you tomorrow," Alpha Darcy commented, a smirk on his face. "Enjoy your night... alone." I heard the door slam shut, and I was once again alone in the dark and dank room. I sat there, my mind racing with thoughts and emotions. I was terrified of what was to come, but I was also determined to survive and find a way out. No matter what happened, I would not give up hope. I curled up in a corner, trying to make myself as small as possible. The room was cold and I shivered, the chill seeping into my bones. The only comfort I had was the memory of my family, and the hope that I would one day see them again. I heard footsteps outside the door. My heart skipped a beat as I waited for the door to open. But instead, I heard the sound of footsteps fading away. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I was alone again, but I couldn't relax. Every sound was like a thunderclap, every shadow a potential threat. I was on edge, every nerve ending tingling with fear. I tried to focus on my breathing, trying to calm myself down. But it was no use. I was trapped, and I didn't know what to do. I sat there for what felt like hours, waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. The silence was deafening, and I could feel myself slipping into despair. As the night went on, I started to feel a strange exhaustion come over me. My eyes started to droop, and I felt myself slipping into a daze. I was so tired, but I couldn't sleep. I was too afraid of what might happen if I let my guard down. So I sat there, my body heavy with fatigue but my mind racing with fear. And then, just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, I heard a scratching at the door. The scratching sounded like claws, scraping against the wood of the door. I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn't know what to do. The scratching grew louder, more insistent. It was as if the creature on the other side of the door was trying to get in. I started to panic, my breath coming in short gasps. I had to do something, but I didn't know what. I heard a low growl from the other side of the door, and then the scratching stopped. I was left in silence, my body shaking with fear. Just then, Mandy came into the room and broke the bombshell on me. "Just so you know, i lied about you being pregnant. You are not pregnant, i just wanted you to f*****g leave our lives" Mandy revealed. The more I thought about Mandy's words, the more my heart pounded in my chest. The thought of she lieing about my being pregnant with the child of a monster like Alpha Darcy was more than I could bear. I started to feel sick, my stomach churning with fear and nausea. I clutched my arms around myself, trying to find some comfort. But there was none to be found. I was just silent, thinking and my mind skipping at every slightest sound. "What were you thinking?" Mandy hissed, her eyes blazing with anger. "You could have gotten yourself killed, and you almost got me in trouble, too." "I'm sorry," I whispered, my voice shaking. "I just... I couldn't stay there at the woods. The Alpha rescued me." "And now you're here, and we're both in danger," Mandy snapped. "If the Alpha finds out about this, he'll kill us both." "I didn't mean to put you in danger," I muttered, my heart sinking. "I just... I needed to get out of there." Before I could react, Mandy's hand shot out and she slapped me across the face. The sting of the blow made my eyes water. I reached up to touch my cheek, and I could feel the tears starting to fall. "You stupid girl," Mandy cursed, her voice low and dangerous. "You've put us both in danger. If you hadn't been so foolish, we would be safe right now. But now we're both at risk." I didn't know what to say. I felt so ashamed, and so scared. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and disappear. As Mandy left the room, I felt a wave of despair wash over me. I was alone, and I was in a strange place, with strange people. I felt like a fish out of water, like I didn't belong. I wondered if I would ever see my family again. Would I ever get home? I started to sob, the tears flowing freely down my cheeks. I felt so hopeless, so lost. I didn't know what to do. Mandy left the room, and about thirty minutes later she came back with a tray of food in her hands and threw it on the floor. I flinched as the tray of food hit the floor, splattering food all over the floor and my clothes. I looked up at Mandy, my eyes wide with shock. "The Alpha wants you to eat," her voice cold and hard. "And you will eat, whether you want to or not." I felt my stomach turn at the thought of eating, but I knew that I had to. I was trapped here, and I needed to stay strong if I was going to survive. I slowly got to my feet and picked up the tray .As I reached for the tray, Mandy's foot came down hard on my hand, pinning it to the floor. I cried out in pain, my hand throbbing. "I'm warning you," she warned, her voice low and menacing. "If you say anything about me helping you, I will make sure you regret it. Do you understand?" I nodded, tears streaming down my face. I was terrified, and I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to make Mandy angry, but I didn't know how I was going to survive here. Mandy's eyes burned with a cold fire as she leaned down close to me, her voice low and threatening. "I will not tolerate any betrayal," she hissed. "You will obey me, or you will suffer the consequences." I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. I knew I had to do whatever she said, no matter how much it hurt. I just wanted to survive, to get through this nightmare. I would do whatever it took. The words hit me like a punch to the gut. I was shocked, my world spinning. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Mandy had lied to me, had used me, had put me through all of this pain for nothing. I was furious, and I felt like I could barely breathe. Mandy's voice cut through the fog in my mind. "You'll do as I say, or else," she said, her eyes blazing with anger. I didn't know what to say, what to do. My mind was racing, my thoughts swirling. I felt like I was caught in a storm, being battered from all sides. I was trapped, and I didn't know how to escape. And then, in the distance, I heard the sound of footsteps. Was someone coming? Would they help me, or would they make things worse? I held my breath, waiting for the sound to get closer. But then, everything went silent. The footsteps stopped, and I was left alone with my thoughts, my emotions swirling inside me like a tornado. I didn't know what to do.
