Chapter 30: Stupid couple!!

"Emergency! Emergency!" Jake's shout startled those nearby. Everyone moved aside to get out of his way. Aurora looked at Jake's sudden appearance, but disgust rose in her heart.

Aurora thought, “Isn't he the one who let his subordinates beat me? Now he pretends to be a duck, as if he cares about me. Jake, you're such a scoundrel."

After being diagnosed by the doctors at the clinic, Aurora asks Billy to drag Jake back to the Corporation headquarters. Aurora said to Billy: “Don't make the presence of the Chairman here a media crisis for me to handle. Please help me with this."

Billy heard and immediately begged Jake to leave the clinic before journalists appeared. Jake had no choice but to disappear. Jake was furious and a little insecure when he saw Aurora. Right or wrong, he was the one who sent the thugs to attack her.

Jake didn't think things could turn out this badly. Jake's image faded, leaving only Aurora's eyes staring at him. Aurora was then carefully bandaged by the doctors, who asked her to stay in the hospital for further observation, but she refused.

What Aurora wants now is to kill Jake at all costs. Aurora, for a moment, forgot about the mission that the organization assigned.

In Aurora's mind, there were only terrible resentments and hatreds. She stood in front of the clinic door and looked towards the Thunder Electronic Corporation headquarters gate. Her hands began to tighten forcefully.

Soon, at Jake's office, he receives a phone call from four thugs. Jake was highly annoyed when they reported the incident, then smiled and smirked: "Have you finished teaching? Get one more chance, and give her another lesson. I did it until she knew she was afraid. But why are you guys acting so violently? Why do you guys never understand what I mean? If something happens to her, I'll kill you!"

The four kept silent and didn't dare to say a word. They listened in silence as Jake cursed nonstop. At that moment, Billy had to leave the office. He closed the door to prevent others from hearing, but unfortunately, Aurora appeared.

Aurora's face was so haunting and scary that Billy was startled. He was just about to stop Aurora when she pushed him back with her hand. Billy falls to the ground, horrified by Aurora's power.

Billy stood up and hurriedly took her hand when Jake said: “Leave her alone! Just go out and close the door for me. Please don't make a big deal out of it! No problem!"

Billy hesitated to do as Jake said until he repeated it. His firmness reassured him somewhat. Immediately, Aurora stood looking at Jake and said in a very calm voice: "Are you the one who told them to come and kill me?"

Contrary to Aurora's thoughts, Jake is exceptionally calm. He turned off the phone, put it on the table, and then looked at her with gentle, loving eyes: “Yes… but I didn't say they killed you… I just wanted them to teach you a lesson."

“Teach me a lesson? Like what you usually do with other people? r**e, r**e, smear… even kill.”

Aurora was so upset that she couldn't put it into words. She pulled out a short knife and held it close to Jake's chest. Aurora was a little surprised when he did not protest, nor was he a bit wary of her actions.

Suddenly, Jake grabbed Aurora's hand and stabbed the blade hard into his chest. Aurora pulled her hand back and then slapped him across the face with a fiery slap.

She looked at him and said, “Don't think this act of yours will get me pardoned. You should realize its consequences.”

Jake suddenly looked at Aurora with watery eyes: “It's all my fault… I never thought… anything would push you down this path. I was too stupid to harm you not once but twice intentionally. I am the deadliest! Most deadly!”

“Twice… you already know it all?” Aurora was scared when she heard Jake's words. She did not expect that her secret had been discovered by Jake a long time ago.

Before Aurora could say a word, Jake replied, "I know! It was because of my suspicion that made her so harmed by the dark forces that you had to leave the United States and then… change your face… live a completely different life.”

Jake said he recognized her when they met at Thunder Electronics Corporation. He noticed Aurora at the convenience store, but his position as a Corporation President prevented him from running to her side.

Jake is afraid that something will happen to Aurora because he knows the people around him are living in danger. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't protect her.

Because of that, when he met Aurora again, Jake felt so crazy that he couldn't control himself. Jake says he doesn't want to hurt her. He just doesn't know how to tell her.

Aurora was the first time in her life to be expressed by another person in such a difficult situation that she could not hesitate more.

She sighed in frustration. So many mixed emotions piled up like a flood in her mind. Aurora and Jake looked at each other for a long time.

Her eyes slowly turned red. At least she knew that she was still keeping the secret of being a spy for the organization and that Jake had become entirely a slut in her hands.

What surprised her the most was that Jake still vividly remembers the first day they met at the Convenience Store, and even though she changed her plastic surgery, he still recognized her.

Jake said: “I've been trying to find you all these years. I even investigated what happened to you, but the results were not feasible. It's like you're hitting a dead end."

“I also went back to New York because I wanted to investigate the past and get revenge on you.” Aurora looked at Jake. He suddenly took off his shirt and pointed it at his chest.

Jake said quickly: “You have your chance. Do whatever you want. I will never hold a grudge.”

Aurora suddenly hugged Jake tightly in her arms. Jake lifted Aurora's chin, kissed her lips passionately, and pressed her directly on the desk.

The two were intoxicated, entwined in a passionate love pace. After struggling with Jake for a while, she could only gain his trust, which is still a good sign for Aurora.

Until that evening, Aurora was returned by Billy to the Special Strategy Room. The whole way, he did not dare to say a word. He seemed to know why President Jake always feared Special Strategists Aurora. At the Special Strategy Department, after looking at the document, Jake sent it over. She pretended to be surprised when she learned that the actor had threatened her.

Jake always said he felt extremely sorry for Aurora, so he visited her directly. At this point, he suddenly remembered a wound on her hand and was terrified.

“Tommy, it's all done. I'm fine with the wound. You don't have to be in such a hurry." Aurora frowned, pushing everyone away to the desk to sit down.

They all sat down on the sofa and listened to Aurora's story. The whole office was like a patient's room, one after another visiting Aurora.

Meanwhile, in the office of CEO Evans, he was still staring at the document sent by Aurora with a chip that "hacked" Thunder Electronics Corporation.

Jake believes in the authenticity of the information on the document. This means that Jake's deductions are correct, and, of course, the person behind a series of financial, market, and economic scandals is Thunder Electronics Corporation.

Despite that fact, Evans always felt there were many questions involved. He was determined to make sure to trace everything.

“You come to my private room immediately.” Evans made a phone call to an unknown number. After more than ten minutes, a familiar woman appeared in the director's room. Her face was a bit cold. It was Rosie, Aurora's first boss.

"What happened?" Rosie stared at Evans.

“You should try this. Today, Aurora was also attacked in the street. Jake of Thunder Electronics Corporation is behind him, but something strange still seems to be happening. I don't think he has the heart to treat 'prey' like that." Evans showed the document to Rosie.
