Chapter 29: Who cares?

1564 Words
"So what? Do they pay me, or do they support me? Not even a close family member. Who cares? I'll tell you the truth, Christine! Living but letting yourself be affected by such words is like a trash can. Whoever throws it in must suffer. I want to save my energy to have fun with the rich boys out there.” Aurora smiled and looked in the mirror. She immediately saw Christine changing color, eyes full of anger. "You!!! Shameless!!!" Christine pounded her hand on the sink, her eyes looking like she wanted to scratch Aurora. “If shameless were to exchange for victory, it would be worth my shame. I'm just afraid you're not shameless enough." Aurora didn't even look at her, just calm and quiet, reaching for the things in her bag. Christine just raised her hand to hit Aurora when she immediately grabbed her head and pressed it down on the sink, she screamed, and Aurora turned on the faucet to water her. Aurora slaps Christine repeatedly in the face until she is silent: "Don't think that you're sneaking up on childish things behind my back, I don't know! Christine, you've got the wrong person. Don't try to test my patience. If I show proof that you sent anonymous text messages to my phone, your career will fall apart quickly." "I'm good at destruction. Also... if you're going to touch me on purpose, who knows... shortly... you'll become a rotten corpse somewhere in upstate New York... I am sure you will find a piece of land that matches your personality… stinky, dirty, and arid.” Aurora grabbed her head and pushed Christine into a restroom, leaving her to cry. Aurora looks in the mirror, tidying up her clothes and makeup. Aurora reapplied lipstick on her sexy lips with vibrant red color. Aurora looked at Christine, who was dumbfounded. She just smiled and walked out of the bathroom. Furious, she threw her bag to the ground. Then, Aurora held the phone in her hand, smiling slightly for a moment. She left the Group headquarters. With a fleeting rage, Aurora looked toward the deli across the street. She quietly passed through a small alley that cut across the long road in front of the gate of Thunder Electronics Corporation. Aurora was walking when suddenly two men were blocking the way, and when she turned around, two people appeared behind her. Their faces were very rough. Their appearance was delinquent, and they quickly approached Aurora. Aurora looked up to the sky and sighed in frustration because she had to continue to bump into a bunch of troublesome things. But the most important thing is that Aurora fears that her identity will be revealed and significantly affect this mission. In her heart, Aurora just prayed that nothing would happen. And this is just an organized robbery. It would be a lot more troublesome when someone was dangerous enough to threaten her behind it. One of the group suddenly burst into Aurora. She quickly dodged to the side, turned around with force, and slammed a fist into his face. All of them rushed at the same time. Aurora used all the fighting techniques she had learned to attack. She quickly waved her arms, spread her legs, and got on her knees. The posture was no different from a professional boxer. The four thugs find it extremely difficult to fight her. Aurora fought four bandits alone yet cornered them all. Aurora thanked Teddy in her heart because he taught her little by little. She felt a little lucky that they were weaker than her. The custom-made silk dress with slits was quite low, making it difficult for Aurora to perform the movements. She quickly tore the hem of her skirt up to thigh-high for convenience. They then pulled out their daggers from their pockets and charged at her once more. Aurora took off her high heels with metal heels and raised her hands in a combat stance. The four of them swung their knives wildly, Aurora dodging using the heels of her boots to stab them directly at their heads and weak areas. One of them thrust a knife, Aurora dodged but the blade grazed her hand. Aurora forced them to go straight to the street, they were afraid of passersby rushing in and realizing that the situation was difficult to defeat Aurora, so they decided to leave quickly. But she did not forgive them easily. Aurora grabbed one of the men's arms. She yanked him to the side of the alley. The rest can only run away. Aurora hit the lousy guy with dangerous blows, making him scream. Aurora shouted: “Tell me! Who told you to come here? Say quickly! If you don't, you won't have another chance." “Chairman… Chairman… Thunder… Electronics…” As the robber spoke, Aurora unhesitatingly grabbed his arm, smiling as he watched him writhe in pain. Aurora whispered into his ear: "Today, I will let you live, but it is not certain that you will be well." As soon as the words finished, Aurora suddenly broke his remaining arm. The thug fainted in pain, lying on the dirty ground with his broken arms deformed at the forearm and wrist joints. She stood up and dressed carefully. Aurora guessed that this was Jake's intention. In her mind, the worst things were done by him. She sneered to pick up her bag, but unexpectedly her left arm felt a sharp pain. Aurora looked at it and knew it might have been grazed by the guy's knife just now. The wound was not big but seemed quite deep. She struggled to endure, walking out of the alley. An hour before the incident happened. In the Office of the President of Thunder Electronics Corporation, Jake was sipping hot tea brought by Billy. “What do you plan to do with Head of Special Strategy Aurora? Wasn't she… standing in the back pulling the strings for Chief Legal Officer Christine to come here? Looks like Aurora wants to test your patience.” Billy showed his white teeth and asked Jake curiously. "I don't know what to use to mentally break her?" Jake closed his eyes, thinking silently. He had to make Aurora miserable for a bit before feeling satisfied. “Or you could just let your subordinates find her. Think of it as giving her a life lesson so she won't do it again." Billy offered an opinion. "It makes sense." Jake nodded, then picked up the phone and flipped it a few times. "Sir, do you have any advice?" A man's hoarse voice made Jake feel disgusted. He just seemed to want to turn off the phone. “I want you to treat one person gently. I will send the information over.” Jake snapped, his voice sharp as a knife, causing silence on the other side. Without waiting for the other man to answer, Jake hung up and put the phone down on the table. He was imagining how Aurora would have to submit to him. Interest rose in his eyes. “You are so cool.” Billy gave Jake a thumbs up. "So I've never been cool until now?" Jake had a bit of pride in his heart but still tried to keep the cold, serious image in front of Billy. "No, it's not." Billy leaned back, looking scared. After two hours had passed, Jake was nervous. Standing still, he looked at his watch to check the time and then turned to check his phone. “If you feel uncomfortable, you can go for a walk to clear your mind.” Billy rushed to the front and opened the door to welcome Jake. “Yeah, we must walk a few laps to clear our minds. I feel a bit uncomfortable too.” Jake was satisfied, and got up quickly. Jake was pleased on his way down from the President's Office to the lobby. Thunder Electronics Corporation employees all felt a warm aura spread. Rainbow colors glittered around President Jake's body. Suddenly, a silent smile opened up, and the whole Thunder Electronics Group was shocked by the news that the 'Chairman's smile' took over all messages of the melon trade association in all departments. Jake and Billy just went out of the gate and saw Aurora's broken figure coming out of the alley. “Aurora!” Jake smiled and called out her name. But the smile on his lips quickly faded when he saw Aurora's bloody arm. Jake rushed to Aurora's side as fast as lightning. “How is she? What's wrong with her? Billy gets the car quickly." Jake shouted angrily, causing Aurora to startle in fear. Billy hastily borrowed a car of a company employee nearby that had just been parked. Aurora pretends to be annoyed: “What are you doing? It's just a deep wound, nothing more. He shouted so loudly I was embarrassed.” “Hurry, hurry to the hospital. Billy where are you? Hurry up!" Jake was really alarmed when he saw Aurora's condition. He was hasty and hasty, making Aurora a bit confused. "No, there's a clinic across the street, it's fine to go in and clean the wound." Aurora refused to go to the hospital, she pointed at a clinic. Jake picked her up and darted like an arrow to the small clinic opposite the Corporation.
