Chapter SixLynn awoke to the uneasiness of unfamiliar surroundings. It took a moment to remember where she was, and not much longer to return to thoughts of what had to be done. She rubbed her hands over her eyes to focus, then automatically looked around the room for a clock she didn't yet have. She remembered throwing her watch in her purse and dug around for it. She recognized its shape on the bottom of the purse and pulled it out. Ten o'clock. She had really slept. She looked around the empty town home again, this time wishing she had a coffee pot. The morning brought with it a new array of insecurities. She was out of her element. In a strange town where she knew no one but an unshaven cook and a lonely old woman who ran a largely unoccupied boarding house. A strange culture where pe
