What just happened? She was swinging and kicking at me when all of a sudden the wind picked up speed. Within a blink of an eye she had closed the gap between us. I was so focused on the wind around her that I didn’t even notice her fist coming at me. Her eyes were a light piercing blue like her wolf’s. The hit was so intense it sent me flying. The pain emanating from my stomach was something I’ve never felt before.
Crumpled on the floor, I could hear her crying and a tingling sensation spread through my body when she touched me. I could feel energy coursing through me and the pain slowly faded.
“Casey,” I sat up, seeing fear in her eyes.
