Jonah has to take a piss. No frills about this. He climbs the stairs to the second floor of his parent’s Tudor. The narrow stairwell is covered in Ricky Malonni; a shrine to the NFL quarterback that Pam has put together since Thanksgiving, decorating the walls. At first, stopping on the middle stair, Jonah studies the photographs of Ricky around him, both on his left and right sides. Ricky in high school, playing football with Jonah in the backyard. Ricky at fifteen, eating a piece of fried chicken at a local chicken house that is still in business. A shirtless Ricky jogging on Ross Street at Jonah’s side, both are seventeen.
