PETER HOLDS HER HAND TIGHTLY " NO , I WONT LET YOU GO . "

KATE " I WISH I COULD STAY HERE , LISTEN , THE WORLD IS MUCH MORE THAN WHAT HUMAN EYES CAN SEE , I WILL THERE , YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SEE ME BUT I WILL BE THERE WITH YOU , TRUST ME ( SHE PUTS HER HAND ON HIS EYES ) "

PETER OPENS HIS EYES AND SEES THAT HE WAS BACK IN HIS ROOM ,  KATE WAS NOT THERE , HE JUMPS ON HIS BED AND GRABS A PILLOW . 

HE TURNS TO HIS LEFT AND SEES THAT KATE'S DIARY WAS KEPT BESIDE HIM .

PETER OPENS THE DIARY AND STARTS READING IT ,

22 September 2019 ,

Dear diary , sorry that I have deserted you for an entire month . Writing in a diary is a really strange experience for someone like me . Not only because I’ve never written anything before , but also because it seems to me that later on neither I nor anyone else will be interested in the musings of a psycho -old school girl .

Oh well , it doesn’t matter . I feel like writing , and I have an even greater need to get all kinds of things off my chest .

It's good to be back at my hometown . I never wanted to leave this place but sometimes things are not in your hand and especially at my house where the right to take decisions is vested in the hands of Claire . I know that she and her daughter despices me but I am least interested in knowing the reason . 

Since , I stepped my foot in this town all the memories came flooding by , there are some that I want to cherish and some that I want to forget but somehow I can't . There is a boy who is constant in all the memories being it good or bad , an old friend , I met him today at the art class , I was adjusting my canvas when he came to me ,

Peter " Kate , is that you . "

Kate "  Peter long time , how are you ? "

Peter " As far as I can remember you were never into art .  "

Kate " Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life . "

Peter " That was deep , when did you came here . "

Kate " Last night , actually Claire wants to start a business over here .  "

Peter " Who is she , never heard of her before . "

Kate " She is my dad's second wife . "

Peter " Your stepmother ! "

Kate " Yes as the world would say , forget about all this do you still go to Ravenwood High . "

Peter " Yes , are you planning to join it again ? "

Kate " I am starting from tomorrow , maybe you could give me a ride . "

Peter "  Definitely ,  are you excited . "

Kate " Not really , actually I am scared .  I was home schooled since last five years in New York . "

Peter "  Why were you home schooled ?  "

Kate " I am bored , Do you want to hangout ? "

Peter "  There's a cafe down the street , it is called ' The Beanery ' , I am meeting some friends there ,  you should join us . "

Kate "  No , No it's totally fine if you already have plans . "

Peter " Trust me Kate you won't regret , And since you are joining school from tomorrow it's important for you to have some friends . "

Kate " Okay , let's go . "

Peter " I will tell you everything about Ravenwood on the way , So Ravenwood is not just a school it's a different world . Extracurriculars are more important than academics . I have devided the students into different groups . The first is the hot chicks , they rule over the school . They are the perfectionists .

The group is led by Tyler , he is the hottest guy of the school almost every girl has a crush on him . But being your friend it's my duty to warn you that stay away from him , he loves hitting peoples on their nerves .  "

Kate "  It seems like you hate him . "

Peter "  Kind of yeah , so the group of hot chicks take out a list every year where they give every student a label . Last year they labelled me as a nerd . "

Kate "  That's bad . "

Peter "  Yeah ,  so the second are the brats , they are the spoiled kids of rich parents . Third are the study freaks they are the ones who top the merit list , I belong to this , next are . . . ,  Kate ! are you even listening or I am talking to myself . "

Kate "  I am so sorry . "

Peter "  Where were you lost ?  "

Kate "  Aren't you scared of me . "

Peter " Why will I be scared of you ?  "

Kate "  After everything that happened in the past ,  probably you should be . "

Peter "  Kate stop ,  I understand what you went through ,  even I faced a really hard time when I lost my parents . The people who dies , die ones but those who are left behind die everyday .  "

Kate " I am suffering from narcissistic syndrome . I hallucinate , I try to hurt me and my family . Ones I hitted my father on his face with a golf stick , I buried my dog in the earth alive , Ones I tried to jump down the terrace because I thought that my house was haunted that's a long story . The worst part is that I don't remember any of it . My dad and Claire , they are scared of me . Armanda wanted to send me to the mental asylum however my dad didn't let her . However he thinks that I am a danger ,  though he never says that but I can feel it. After I hallucinated my mother in the school my dad got scared that's why

I was home - schooled because he thinks that if I will stay away from people there wont be any risk of me hurting them . I  spend my time locked in the room aloof  . "

Peter "  Your parents lock you . "

Kate "  Well they don't have any other choice  . My syndrome is getting worse . "

Peter "  How come you don't remember ? "

Kate "  Maybe because of the medication .  My dad has made some pills . "

Peter "  Why your dad , don't you see a doctor . "

Kate "  My dad is a scientist , he has done specialization in medicines and viruses , so yes , Moreover Armanda doesn't want people to know about my syndrome because she thinks it will affect the reputation of the family . I am ashamed of myself , Sometimes I feel like a burden . "

Peter " Don't talk like this , Kate you are perfect . It's just a syndrome , you will get through it .  "

Kate "  That's so sweet of you . "

Peter "   Look we have , reached . ( peter crashes against Tyler ) watch it Tyler . "

Tyler " Oops ! sorry , ( he looks at Kate ) Who are you ? I never saw you before ? Are you his girlfriend ? "

Kate " No , I am not his girlfriend , we are just friends . "

Tyler " I thought that you are too gorgeous to be his girlfriend , bye Kate see you around ( he touches her shoulder ) . "

Peter "  So he is . . "

Kate " Tyler , I think he is hot . "

Peter " No he is not , remember stay away from him , he is not safe . "

Kate " Okay sir , shall we go in . "

Peter "  After you ! " ( Both Chuckles )

Noah " So finally you are here . "

Peter " Kate he is Noah and she is Lily , Noah and Lily meet her she is Kate my childhood friend, She will be joining Ravenwood high from tomorrow . " 

Lily " Nice to meet you Kate , come sit here with us . "

For the first time in a long while I was happy . We went to the kids playground from the Cafe. My mother used to take us there when we were kids . Everything changed in five years but that place was exactly how I remembered it . Peter and I talked for hours . Actually I talked and he listened . I emptied my heart in front of him . It felt like some burden has been removed from my shoulders . I talked to him about my syndrome . I never really spoke to anyone about it , but it was different with him . I knew that I could trust him . I was no longer scared to go to school tomorrow ,  I was excited . I was all the way more excited to meet Tyler , I know Peter has asked me to stay away from him , but at least I am allowed to think about him . He just looks perfect . I want to know him . This is the first time I am musing about a boy . The thought of him gave me butterflies , I could still feel his hands on my shoulders . It's a strange feeling but weirdly good , I have never felt this before . Every time I close my eyes I have his face in front , I just can't stop thinking about him . O my god , Do I like him ?

23 SEPTEMBER 2019 : 

Good morning dear diary , today was the first day of my school . I hardly slept last night . I spend two hours to find the perfect outfit . I did my hair and makeup .

I just wanted to look perfect ,  I wanted Tyler to observe me . Peter came to pick me at eight , Peter ( blows the horn ) " Kate come fast or we will get late . "

Kate " I am here ,  I am sorry , I could not find my shoes . "

Peter "  Wow !  you look gorgeous . "

Kate "  Do I ! "

Peter " Yes blue colour suits you . "

Kate " Thank you , shall we go . "

Peter " Yup , you look happy . "

Kate "Is that wrong . Am I supposed to be gloomy all the time . "

Peter " No I didn't meant that . You are getting me wrong 

 I am happy, actually dad and Armanda went to California for a business meeting , Lizze went along with them so I feel free . "

Pete r" That's good , smile suits you more than this blue coloured outfit . " ( both chuckles )

Peter " So this is Ravenwood High , I promise that I will give you a tour afterwards right now I am getting late for my French class , will you be able to find manage yourself . "

Kate " yes , absolutely don't worry rush to the class . "

Peter " I am so sorry , I thought that I will give you the school tour , show you your locker but I have to rush , see you in the break . "

Kate "  Don' t worry , I am all good . "

Peter went to his french class , I thought that I will be able to manage everything by myself but I got lost. So I asked the first person I saw and guess what that was Tyler . He looked so hot in his black jacket.

Kate " Hi Tyler , do you know the way to the history class  . "

Tyler " I think I have seen you somewhere  . "

Kate " Yes , yesterday outside ' The Beanery ' with Peter . "

Tyler " Yes I remember now you are Peter's friend , I am sorry can you please tell me your name again . "

Kate "  I am Kate . "

Tyler " I like your name , Kate , now I will never forget it . "

Kate " Thanks , can you please tell me the way to the history class . "

Tyler " I am going to the same class come I will take you . "

He put his hands around my shoulders .

Luke " Hey ty ! who's the new girl . "

Tyler " She is Kate its her first day in college ,  I am taking her to the history class , So Kate here we are . "

He was sitting right in front of me in the next row . I was not able to concentrate in class , I just stared at him . One or twice he caught me staring at him and gave me a smile . I got nervous and I tried to move my eyes away from him but they refused to listen to me . Peter told me that auditions for the college band were going on and I happened to be a good singer so I thought that lets give it a try . Someone told me that the auditions were going in the music room , I went there but no one was there , so I moved in and suddenly I heard someone's voice behind me ,

Tyler "  Are you stalking me . "

Kate " No I am not stalking you , i am just here to give audition for the college band . "

Tyler came close to me " Don't lie , you were staring at me in the history class , I saw you . "

Kate " I am just here to give the audition for the music for the music band but it doesn't look like any audition are going on here . "

Tyler " The music teacher got ill , so the auditions are cancelled . "

Kate " Oh , okay so I will leave . "

Tyler " Do you really want to go cause I don't want you to go . "

Kate " What do you mean ?  "

Tyler grabbed my waist and pushed me against the wall . My veins throbs and my heart exploded . He inclined his face toward me and laid his mouth close to mine mouth . My chest pressed against his and he nudged his nose against mine . He brought his face closer and whispered " Tell me , if you want me to stop ! "

He moved his hands slowly from my waist to my boobs slightly pressing them and his lips partially touching mine and then he whispered again " You can tell me now if you want me to stop ". I remained quiet. He bent down and kissed me softly at first, and then with more passion .

His insistent mouth was parting y shaking lips , sending wild tremors along my nerves . Every inch of my body dissolved into his . His finger gripped my hair and pulled me closer and closer. Then our lips parted . We both were still holding each other , he came closer and whispered  " I like you ,  kate , you are the

most beautiful girl that I have ever met  " , he then kissed my forehead and walked away .

It was my first kiss . In that moment I forgot about all my problems ,  about my syndrome , I dreamt of a happy future with him . During break I saw Peter , I didn't wanted to hide about the kiss from him but I knew that it would disappoint him I knew how much he hated Tyler , but he was wrong Tyler was not

like he thought . I guess he must have misunderstood him .

Peter " Kate I am so sorry about the morning . "

Kate " I have said it like a thousand times that it is fine Peter , no big deal , everything was fine . "

Noah " So how was your first day at Ravenwood high , do you like it here . "

Kate " I love it everything is so good . "

Lily " Hey everyone I am also here so tell me what am I missing . "

Noah " Nothing much , I was just telling Kate that Lily is the luckiest girl in the world . "

Lily " And will you have the honour to tell me what makes me the luckiest girl in the world . "

Noah " You have the best boyfriend in the world so aren't you the luckiest , "

Lily " So I would like to express my gratitude to you with a kiss , can I . "  (  she kisses him )

Kate " You both look so cute together . "

Lily " That's so sweet of you , thank you . "

Kate " so where did you guys met . "

Lily " It's all very filmy , It was my birthday so me and my friends went for clubbing , By mistake I parked my car in the no parking , It got towed , my friends were already gone , my phone got dead , I was so high suddenly he came like a hero and he dropped me home , I was so drunk and my head was bursting

he made me a coffee and he looked after the entire night .  "

Noah " I could feel a special connection between us since the time we first met . "

Lily " It was like a love at first sight . "

Kate " Love at first sight is that even a thing . "

Lily " Love is love being it at first sight or later . "

She was right , even I was attracted towards Tyler since the first time I saw him . Maybe it was more than liking , Maybe it was love at first sight !

I never thought that love at first sight was possible but maybe it was . It is a very strong feeling which is very hard to put into words . I needed someone to talk to . Peter won't understand because he hates him .

Lily " I am going to get some coffee, do you guys want something  . "

Yes  ,  Lily , I could talk to her . We could have a girl to girl talk . She will understand more than anyone else .

Kate "  Lily , I am coming with you , I have to get some expresso . "

Lily "  Cool ! bye boys ( She kisses Noah on his forehead ) "

Kate " Lily , can I talk to you for a minute . Something happened , and I don't think anyone else will be able to understand other than you . "

Lily " Yes of course . "

Kate " Tyler kissed me and I think I like him . "

Lily " Wait what Tyler kissed you . "

Kate " It happened so suddenly , I wanted to tell Peter about it . "

Lily " Because he hates him , I know its because of that list . "

Kate " Yaa , Peter told me about it , so tell me what shall I do now  . "

Lily " I know Tyler is all very charming but being a friend I want to warn you that Tyler and his friends don't have a good reputation when it comes to girls . "

Kate " But I can't stop thinking about him . I was attracted towards him , since the first time I saw him . He may not have a good reputation but people do change . Maybe he also loves me . "

Lily " O my God you don't like him , you love him . "

Kate " I guess I do , I think its worth giving a try , isn't it . "

Lily " Yes you can just be careful, Okay I am excited tell me everything about that kiss , Wait , Tyler is coming here . I will give you privacy . "

Kate " No , No , No , after everything that happened I don't know what to say , stay here or I will screw up everything . "

Tyler " Hi , Kate , I need your help , Professor Michael said that I am failing in history and I think you can we help me with it . Please don't say no , You are my only ray of  hope . "

Kate " Why don't you come over sometime ? "

Tyler " Today I have my football practice ,  Maybe tomorrow after school , if that's fine with you . "

Kate " Yes , I am fine with it . See you tomorrow then after school . "

Tyler " Okay ( he kisses kate on her cheeks ) , Bye Lily . "

Lily "  O my god , he kissed you that's so cute , I think that he is also interested in you . Kate are you blushing ! "

Kate covers her face with her hands "  No I am not . "

Lily " Yes you are ( she chuckles ) you and Tyler can be the second best couple in the world  , you know after me and Noah . "

Kate " Listen don't tell peter about it . He will get upset . He hate Tyler . "

Lily " Don't worry ( she whispers ) It will be our little secret , Come on let's go , I don't need any coffee now I am already refreshed . "

Today was epic . Everything was perfect . I made a new friend , Lily . And of course my first kiss . For the first time my future didn't seemed to be blur or dark .

But then something happened , that made me realise that I was not a normal girl and I could just dream of a happy future but I can't welcome one .

I was very exhausted when I came home so I jumped on my bed . But then I heard someone's footstep . That was strange and creepy because no one was home , it was just me . I went down in the hall , everything seemed to be normal until I heard some strange voices coming from the basement . Dad has strictly said that I was not allowed to go in the basement . The voice increased , it felt like someone was crying for help . I got very scared . I thought that someone sneaked in the house and got trapped now . I knew that dad kept the basement keys in the drawer next to his bed . So I went in his room ,  luckily the drawer was opened so I got the keys . There was a moment of confusion but then I made my mind to go in the basement and check if everything was fine . I went in , it was dark and cold . It looked more like a laboratory maybe Dad was doing some research over here . The place was smelling so bad like some corpse has decayed over here . I heard someone's faint cries . I followed that sound . The cries became louder and louder as I went closer . Some liquid was spilled on the floor , I slipped from it ,  all my clothes got wet . It was so dark I could hardly see me . I heard someone's voice "  Who is here ? "

I got scared , I asked  " Is anyone here " , I could hear someone calling out my name " Kate is that you " . My heart started beating fastly , Then there was complete silence , it was so quiet that I could hear my breath . I walked forward , someone jumped on me and caught me by my legs , I fell down and the person was pulling I kicked that person on his face , I tried to get back on my legs but the floor was very slippery because of that liquid , some really bad smelling liquid . I could see two hands trying to reach me . That person was some women, all her hair were on her face and she was calling out my name in a petrifying way . Her legs were tied to something I could hardly see . I got a small glance of her face ,  she was my mother . She just looked so creepy . Her eyes didn't looked normal they were white , just white without any iris , I knew that I was hallucinating again ,  Maybe it was because I didn't took my medicines today . That lady tried to jump on , I won't say that she was my mother . I knew that it was just another hallucination . I ran out and sat outside the gate , I was not able to breath . I wiped my face and saw my hands they were stained with blood . Not just my hands my clothes , my body had blood everywhere . That liquid on the floor was blood . But where did the blood came from ?  I could hallucinate my mother but this blood . I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself . I bathed for an hour but I was stinking . Then I heard

a know on door . My heart started beating rapidly . I held a table lamp in my hand and I opened the door . I was all set to attack but then I saw that it was Lizze .

She returned from California however my dad and Armanda decided to extend their trip two days .
