Chapter 19- Entering the business

Hazel Maria Cooper

Daniel took me to William’s cabin. When we entered they were having some conversation. William stopped speaking when he saw me with Daniel. Mark and Abraham were also there.

“Dani, why didn't you send her back? I thought you would have sent her in the afternoon itself.” William asked.

“Ria has a suggestion which will help us to handle the situation.” Dani said and William is now red with anger.

“How dare you speak business matters with your wife? You are breaking the family rules. We are men and we can handle the problem. We don't need the help of a woman.”

“William, please at least hear what she has to say. You can reject it if you don't like. She explained it to me but it's just that I can't explain it to you because it’s related to medical field and I don’t understand most of the terms. Please have the patience to hear her once” Dani pleaded and I felt bad because he is backing me.

“No, Daniel. Just send her back and if you want to join her then just go and enjoy your honeymoon. We will handle this.” William is just out of control

“What's bad in hearing her? If she has a suggestion it's good. I think we should give her a chance.” Mark backed Dani.

“Mark, don't support him or else you are also going against our family tradition.”

“I too back him William. We just can't cope up with the situation with the bloody family tradition. We have to find a solution. So if Hazel has one then what's wrong in giving her a chance?” It’s Harry entering the cabin 

“So, Abraham what's your opinion? Are you with Daniel or William?” Mark asked Abraham.

“I don't want to take anyone’s side. But yeah we should hear her once William. Anyways we don't have any other option.” Abraham agreed with Harry.

“So you are outnumbered to one to four William.” Harry said

“Okay then I surrender, Hazel come in and have a seat.” William welcomed me. I am still standing rooted at the entrance. Dani took my hand and brought me to the chair in front of the table. Dani sat next to me. Harry and Mark sat on the sofa and Abraham sat next to Dani. Every eye is now on me. I took a deep breath and started.

“Okay, Dani have showed me the composition of the medicine you used to produce. Now there is this certain composition which needs almost the same components that you used to make your earlier medicine. This medicine is used for de addiction of drugs and alcohol. It's just that the composition is different.” I stopped and looked around to find their reaction.

“Go on” it's William and I got the confidence to present myself, and to prove womanhood. 

“So you first have to get the licence for the manufacture of the drug which probably will not be difficult with Uncle Wilson and Uncle Henry. And for getting the licence you will need to submit a proposal with the details of the composition of the medicine.” I stopped and looked sideways to Dani and he smiled.

“Your scientific team could just work on the composition as soon as possible and I could help them as I already know about the composition. Actually after medical college I have done a certificate course in drug composition. And about the market, the demand for such drug is at a high peak as the use of drugs and alcohol is increasing day after day in our country and also throughout the world.” I finished my suggestion and looked at the brothers anxiously.

William was the first to clap his hands and others joined. William stood up and came to me and hugged me and said

“I am sorry Hazel. You are brilliant. I would rather say you are just like your mother in law. Beauty with brains. As it says as mother as daughter. But here as mother in law as daughter in law.” 

Everyone laughed and I joined. Daniel seemed really happy as all the cousins praised me.

“But how could you help us. We can't spoil your honeymoon. We will take your suggestion and consult our scientific team.”

“No, I am just happy to help you. We already had a wonderful time together. Now the company needs our service and we are ready.” I looked Dani for his support.

“Yes, she is right. We already have visited major places of London. We are here for one more week and so we can work together.” Daniel gave his support.

“Aunt Mary will be really happy to hear about Hazel. Dani you are really lucky. Your wife really is a genius.” Mark said.

“Then we can part for today and come back tomorrow for a new start. Meanwhile I will talk to dad and Uncle Henry about the licence.” William said and all stood up and parted away. We returned to hotel and it was already 11 p.m.

“Ria, you really are a genius. You saved our business. Actually you saved my dad from a heart failure. If he knew about the situation he would already have fainted.” he kissed me hard. We took a warm shower together and slept soundly in each other’s embrace.

Daniel Stuart Cooper

It is 5 in the morning and Ria is sleeping like an angel in my arms. I put her head down without waking her up. After doing my morning necessities I went to the gym. A 24 hour’s working gym is the speciality of hotels owned by the Cooper family. When I came back after my workout Ria was already getting ready. I just placed a kiss on her cheek and said

“It’s really a surprise. In the last two weeks of our married life it’s the first time I am seeing you awake so early.”

“I can’t be late on the first day. Your brothers have shown their trust and I should keep it at any cost. Make it fast honey they will be waiting for us.” she pushed me to the washroom.

“Sweetheart it's just 6:30. There is a lot of time. Relax and order for breakfast while I take a quick shower.” and I went to the washroom. Ria is serving food in two plates when I came out wrapping a towel around my waist. I quickly changed my clothes and sat beside Ria. I pulled her by waist towards me and took her into a breath taking kiss. She pulled me after a short while and said

“Dani what are you doing. Just finish your breakfast and we can leave.”

“Come on Ria, it's a honeymoon. You can't deny me from showing my love. And you know I am a good kisser. Want more?” I said mockingly.

“I know my dear husband. But you have to control yourself at least for few days.” Ria placed one of the plates in my hand and took the other one for herself and started to eat. 

After breakfast we left the hotel by 7:30. When we reached the office William and Mark already present. William already had arranged a meeting for Ria with the scientists. Ria presented her proposal and everyone was convinced. 

For the next 6 days we all were busy following Ria's proposal. by the end of the week they already had produced the medicine and submitted the proposal for the licence. Meanwhile Ria already had found the market for the supply of new medicine using her medical contacts. By the next week we got the licence to produce the new medicine. We already had solved the problem and everyone including Uncle Wilson and uncle Henry praised Ria for her brains. 

We extended our two weeks honeymoon in London for another one week. It's already 19 days by the time we solved the problem in the company. So now there is only two more days in London. 

We are still in office when Uncle Wilson came to the office to meet us, especially Ria. He expressed his feelings and gratitude to Ria and invited us to the Cooper villa in London where Uncle Wilson lives with his family. I felt bad as I have already planned a surprise dinner for Ria. Uncle Wilson had spoiled my plan. 

We are now in the hotel room getting ready for the dinner. To compensate my dinner plan I gifted Ria a beautiful dinner gown with matching jewellery. She looked just amazing in the gown. We were now in the car heading to the Cooper villa. 

“Dani, who all are living in the Cooper villa?” Ria asked

“Well Uncle Wilson and Aunt Patricia are the owners now. Cooper family also have the tradition of joint family. We never split up. We children live with our parents even after marriage at least up to the time our parents are with us. So William and his wife Emily with their three children and Harry with his wife Samantha and two children also lives in the Cooper villa." Dani explained.

"Oh that's nice to have a joint family. Actually I love to live in a joint family. But as you are the only son of your parents we will be having a small family." Ria said in a sad tone.

"Don't worry honey we will make it big. I love children especially if they are mine. I want a dozen." I laughed seeing her startled expression.
