Scarlett
Lunch was so good. Maybe it tasted great because I haven’t eaten properly for days. Caleb cleared his plate as well. I got up to take our plates over to the sink and got both a glass of fresh orange. Then, I went back through to sit back down at the table with Caleb.
“So Caleb, I have been doing some thinking, and I don’t think I want to go on the run.”
“What are we going to do then? You will end up in trouble, possibly even getting jail time.” Caleb said with sadness in his voice.
“Don’t worry about me, Caleb. I will talk it through with Brendan and see if there is anything I can do that will maybe help me lessen the sentence I could face,” I said.
“Scarlett, I don’t know about this. I am not ready to lose you again,” Caleb said, stretching his hand out to touch mine.
“It is the right thing to do. What good will us being on the run for the rest of our lives do? We could never have a normal life again,” I sighed, “And I want that for us. I want us to have a home, one day get married and have babies,”
What sort of life would it be for our kids if Caleb and I were constantly on edge?
“We won’t have any of that anyway if you end up in jail for the rest of your life,” he whispered.
I knelt in front of him and made him look at me. I caressed his cheek.
“It will be OK, Caleb,” I said and kissed him softly.
“Babies and marriage, uh?” he grinned once we parted.
“Yes, well, if you still want all of that, one day, with me,”
“I wouldn’t want those things with anyone else, Scarlett,”
I am so happy that we both want the same thing, well, at least for our future. I need to be stern with him about us not going on the run, though.
“Caleb, as happy as I am right now, I am phoning Brendan after I have a shower to tell him what is happening.”
“If you are sure it is the right thing to do, then I will back you all the way,” Caleb said, placing a kiss on my forehead.
I stood up and flung my arms around his neck.
“Ouch.” Caleb squirmed.
“I’m sorry, Caleb, did I hurt you?” I asked as I removed myself from his neck.
“I’m ok, still a little tender.”
“I will try to keep calm.” I giggled.
“Can I join you in the shower? Only to shower because I don’t think my body can handle anything else right now,” he pouted.
“Yes, you are always welcome in the shower with me,” I smiled, “And no, we won’t be doing that until I know that you are healed,”
He rolled his eyes, not amused with my answer, but he was soon laughing.
“Yes, boss,” he said sarcastically.
“Come on, let’s go get our shower,” I said.
I offered him my hand, and he took it. We headed to the shower. I need a nice, long shower because I am freaking out about talking to Brendan.
“Don’t mind me. I am just going to watch you undress,” I smirked at him.
“You could stare all you want, but I could probably do with your help.” Caleb laughed as he began trying to undress.
I could see that he was sore, especially when he tried to stretch, taking off his top.
“Here, let me,” I said as I reached out to help him.
I helped him only when he needed it as I don’t want him to feel like he cannot do it for himself. I would help him undress more often; being so close to his beautiful body is something that makes me very happy. I reached in and switched on the shower as Caleb got in and stood under the warm running water. I started to get myself undressed, ready to join him. Caleb’s eyes were watching closely as I did.
I stepped into the shower, and the moment I did, he groaned and looked me over.
“God, you can’t even imagine the things I want to do to you,” he breathed.
“Well, when you feel up for it, you can show me,”
I smirked and kissed him softly.
“Mmm, not helping the situation, sweetness. You are going to get me excited,” he moaned.
“Sorry, love, I will behave, but the moment you are better, you are all mine, all day,”
“Oh, I look forward to it,” he winked.
“When you are feeling up to it, I would love for you to wash my hair. It is a chore washing this long hair.” I laughed out as I ran my fingers through it to get the conditioner in.
“Not a problem, sweetheart.” Caleb grinned.
I finished my hair and swapped places with Caleb to wash all the soap from my body and the conditioner from my hair. Caleb just stood staring at me with numerous bruises on his body. I couldn’t help but feel for him. The pain he is in makes me feel so bad for him.
“I am ready to get out now, Caleb,” I said as I swapped places with Caleb again.
“I am going to stay here for a bit longer. The warm running water helps me feel more comfortable.” He smiled.
“Of course, you stay as long as you need. I am going to tackle this hair of mine.” I laughed as I left the en-suite.
I left the door open in case Caleb needed me for anything. The last thing I want is for him to hurt himself in the shower. I put on my body butter from top to bottom and started on my usual face routine, cleanse, tone and moisturise. Nothing beats some self-care and love.
Caleb came out of the shower twenty minutes later, a towel wrapped around his waist. I couldn’t help but stare. He was too damn handsome for his own good! He smiled and came to me and puckered his lips. I giggled, stood and kissed him softly.
“I love you, Scarlett,”
“I love you too, baby,”
“You may need to give me a hand to get dressed,” he sighed,” I am sorry I am so reliant on you right now,”
“You have nothing to be sorry about, Caleb,” I replied, “I don’t mind,”
“I will just put on some comfy clothes since we are not exactly doing anything.” He laughed as he hobbled over to the bed to sit down.
“That is true.” I laughed back at him as I walked over to the drawers that had some stuff in them.
Brendan had the house filled with food and drinks for, us and we both had a set of drawers, each with some underwear and clothing in it for us. We were not allowed to go anywhere near our houses in case anyone was watching them. Brendan had everything sorted for us.
“Scarlett, you are too good to me.”
“Well, someone has to be,” I smirked as I leant down and kissed him before helping him put on his top. I took advantage of that and rubbed my hands down his toned abdomen.
“Cheeky, taking advantage of an injured man.” Caleb winked at me.
“Mmm, I can’t help myself,” I groaned.
“I swear I better heal quickly because I am in desperate need of you,” he huffed.
“Oh, I know the feeling, baby boy, and the moment you are up for it, we can make up for lost time,”
I finished helping him get ready and pecked his lips.
“Thanks, my love,” he smiled.
I wanted to relax with my man for a little before I spoke to Brendan.
“Let’s get a movie on and relax for a while,” I said.
“Sounds like a great plan, Scarlett.” Caleb grinned over at me.
We curled up on the couch together and just enjoyed each other's company.
