Ch. 5 seeking out a see'er

It has been six months since I became Alpha.

I have been hosting pack meetings and attending some outside meetings. Where I would have to leave my pack lands and be gone for a few days.

I even hosted a few here at the packhouse.

I am in my office sitting behind my desk wearing a six hundred dollar fancy all black suit, a white button-up shirt with a red tie.

I still didn't know how to tie a tie myself. It's a snap on.

My unit was hanging out in my office just in case I needed them, I could have mind link any of them.

They thought it would be safer if they were already by my side.

I was simply signing a few papers that needed my attention. When I came across what appeared to look a lot like a bill.

I grabbed my letter opener and opened it. Yup, it's a bill! When I read over it, I saw that it read 100,000 dollars.

I stood up while holding the piece of paper in my hand and yelled, SON OF A b***h!!!

That got Nate, Bryan, and Liam's attention.

Boss what is it? Nate asked! I just looked up and said s**t.

No wonder this was on my desk Zach, from accounting was more than likely nervous to show this to me.

My father made a huge purchase out of the pack funds. I knew it was him from the information on the bill.

What the hell was he thinking he didn't even ask me.

I'm Alpha now. This is totally unacceptable. The guys were just looking at me with raised eye brows.

My father spent 100,000 dollars out of pack funds, I said with a huff.

On what? Bryan questioned! I dont know, but that's what i'm going to find out.

I sat back down in my desk chair. I put the bill to the side, I was deciding if I should wait for my mother to call me.

She calls me most nights, or should I call them both.

My parents still weren't back from their trip. My father called it a long-awaited honeymoon since I came shortly after they were mated.

My three best friends were all staring silently at me. I reached over to pick my office phone up, but before I could, start to dial.

Stormy Peters, a warrior, came rushing in, scared the s**t right out of me. With her loud pitched voice. it's not on purpose, but it's just how she speaks.

Stormy is hyped all the way up because she just turned eighteen.

She can finally be aloud with the warriors in battle if there ever is one.

Stormy is five foot seven with short brown hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a fit figure.

My unit looked at Stormy, and I put my office phone back down on its receiver.

I got a solution to your problems, Alpha, since you haven't been able to find your mate.

Stormy said almost too fast for any of us to understand.

I smiled and looked directly at her. Yes, Miss Peters, I said. She became almost too excited that I was willing to listen to her.

How about we look into a see'er, was her words.

I could feel my friends eyes on me as I looked at Stormy.

A see'er they haven't existed in years piped in Nate.

Stormy looks over to Nate, i'm sitting at my desk with my left fingertips holding my head up, and my right leg crossed over my left.

I was just thinking, could there be more see'ers out there, we really haven't looked.

Yes, I heard there are still some out there she says, Stormy looks in my direction.

Your mate and the future Luna of this pack, is not in any of the packs you visited unless she doesn't exist. Stormy squils in her annoying voice.

She must have realized she spoke out loud. Sorry, Alpha Stormy whispers.

Okay Stormy, I order you to seek out a see'er and bring her to me.

She says with a big smile on her face. yes, and you can take three or four of our warriors with you as backup. Just let me know who.

Yes, Alpha, but sir, where do I start she replies.

This is your mission you came to me with this, and you're in charge. My suggestion to you is to look in or near witch territory.

Ask around. Maybe someone is willing to help you out. Back off, if trouble arises, I said firmly.

She shook her head yes, jumped up and down, ran out of my office. I won't let you down, Alpha. I promise she screamed happily.

I let out a breath and set up in my chair. Nate, Bryan, and Liam were all looking at me with mouths parted.

Ahu! Liam sarcastically says. You dont really think that she can lead a couple of your best warriors and actually find a see'er do you? Liam chims in.

I dont know we will see, this will be a test for her I replied.

For as long as I been Alpha I been traveling to other packs trying to find my mate and with no such luck at that.

I am willing to try anything now.

The day came to a close, and I went back to my empty suite.

I sat down on my couch and turned on my flat screen, and then my phone started to buzz. I looked at the caller i.d and saw it was my mother.

I knew I had forgotten something today. I put my phone to my ear. Hi mom. Hi honey, how is everything? she asked.

Everything is going swell, I said a bit to sarcastic. Swell, what do you mean swell, she asked?

She always knows when something is up.

Mom, can you actually put dad on the phone? Sure, baby. She replied.

I waited while she got him, then my money grubbing father picked up, and said hey son. Hey yourself, I replied.

Would you like to explain this large transaction for 100,000 dollars on your pack card?

He stayed silent for a moment and then spoke.

Well, your mother and I were up in Florida enjoying the sun when we met. I interrupted him.

Dad, I dont need a whole monolog. I just want to know about the money.

I bought a yacht he whispered with a huff so low that if I wasn't a wolf, I wouldn't have heard him. A boat I said, you bought a damn boat.

I got up and started to pace back and forth. Where are you going to put it when you get back to the pack lands? I screamed.

The pack house swimming pool, I sarcastically said.

It's a yacht son he said in a low voice. I dont care. I yelled. I have it all figured out.

Dont you worry, son. He said as if he was unaffected by my yelling. No more spending without my consent. I said loudly into the phone and hung up.

I didn't feel like watching television anymore, so I truned it off and went to bed.

The next morning, I woke up to banging on my front door. What the hell. I looked at the time, and it was 4 in the morning.

I like to sleep naked with nothing to restrict me at all.

I grabbed a pair of sweats and slipped them on. I slowly walked to the door like a sloth and opened it to see who was the cause of all this noise.

Sarah, seriously, I said, stretching and yawning where I stood. Wow, she said as her eyes went big.

I followed where her eyes had landed. I laughed because i'm going comando under my sweats, and she can see the outline of my package.

I just winked and smiled at her.

Giving her enough time to close her mouth and look me in the eyes. She was looking away while blushing.

Are your cheeks truning red? I asked her.

You're just seeing things she said softly while lightly slapping me.

I invited her in. Can you please go put something else on to wear? asked Sarah. Why? Am I distracting you as I truned to her and smiled.

Alpha Nichola she says loudly. I walked, closing the gap between us.

You only need to call me Nichola. I smiled the way I knew she loved.

It is out of respect for you, I told you this, she said breathlessly.

I love seeing her get all flustered. We're friends, so Nichola is just fine. Ok Nichola, she whispered.

I stepped back and asked her what it was that she needed at 4 in the morning?

She just stared at me for a moment. Oh! I remember now.

I crossed my arms, getting ready to listen to what she was about to say. Bryan sent me here since you get so cranky when you wake up sometimes.

Bryan says a warrior by the name of Stormy called and asked to speak with you.

I put my arms down to my side and started to make my way to my room.

Would you like me to make some coffee? Sarah added. Please and thank you, I replied.

After getting dressed, I walked out to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and Sarah already with a cup herself. She had poured me a cup with two sugars just the way I liked it.

I sat down and had one cup of coffee with her. She smiled a lot at me she was definitely in a good mood, and we just had some idle chit-chat.

I went to my office after my coffee with Sarah, and I was met by Nate, Bryan, and Liam. I sat at my desk, and my unit just stood around.

I picked up the office phone and called Stormy.

I found her number in my address book, in the right drawer of my desk. I have every pack members number in there.

Alpha, Stormy called out. Stormy is everything ok cause I know you possibly can't be there yet.

No, sir, I mean yes sir everything is ok. No, on being there yet, she answered. I am just checking in.

I also wanted to let you know that in our questioning, some other shifters out hear, they to have seen at least one see'er in there life time. Stormy said enthusiastically.

Okay! Just keep me updated, I replied. Will do Alpha, "she said as we hung up."

I told the guys what Stormy had told me on the phone.

Those other shifters may not be telling the truth boss, Liam spoke first. I know, but we must wait and see. Stormy will keep us updated.

Did you ever find out what your father bought? Asked Nate.

I slumped in my chair, a damn boat, I responded.

They all laughed, and I just glared at them. Oh, come on, boss man, it is your dad.

Of course he did, you know him, we all know him, Bryan said. Yup, that's true he is no longer in charge of the pack and doesn't need to deal with the finances. Liam says.

Ugh! Why, Must I have to be the adult all the time? I said, annoyed.
