{Lyanna’s POV}
Max’s father finally made it to the school, just in time too. I was worried that being stabbed like this may make it harder for me to fend off the rogue. I looked past the rogue to Max’s father, he looked at me, instantly the mate bond snapped into place. He smiled softly at me, then noticed my trembling hands. I grabbed the knife and pulled it out tossing it on the ground. I coughed up a little blood and fell onto the ground.
“What have you done?” He screamed at the rogue, he grabbed his head and snapped his neck in one fluid motion. Once the rogue was dead he ran to me and knelt down beside me. He sniffed me, “You were with Max.” He said.
I nodded, “He’s in the class I help with.” I said gasping slightly.
“Where is he, and why aren’t you healing?” He asked concerned.
“I told him to hide, and not to come out until I called for him. The knife, it was silver, and my wolf hasn’t come yet.. I can’t heal it..” I said coughing up a little more blood. I pulled my bag around to cover the wound and sat up slightly against the bench. I wiped the blood from my mouth and called out. “Max, you can come out now, your father is here.” I yelled.
Max walked out soon and ran to his father with tears in his eyes. “Dad, I was so scared!” He cried.
“It’s okay buddy, I’ll never be late again, I swear!” He said cradling his son in his arms. He looked over at me, worry washing over his face. I went to sit up more, and blood began pouring from the wound.
Max sniffed the air, his face turning to mine. “I smell blood!” He said running over and looking at me. He grabbed my bag and threw it, his face changed to one of horror when he saw it.
I looked down and noticed that a pool of blood had begun to drip down around my side. “Don’t look Max!” I said reaching up and covering his eyes. The sudden movement pulling in my side and causing more blood to pour.
His father looked over noticing the blood. “S***, we need to get you the the pack hospital.” He said under his breath. He began mind linking someone then turned back to me. The blood was pooling more and more by the second. I held my hands over Max’s eyes, fearing to let him see what had happened.
The principle came out, and saw blood all over me, and the dead man on the ground. “What happened here?” He demanded to know.
Max’s father turned to him. “This young woman saved my son from being kidnapped and was hurt in the process, I’m taking her to the hospital. Call the police and I’ll make a police report later. Tell them to call my number, it should be on file.” He said picking me up and cradling me in his arms. Blood dripped from my side onto the ground, and the principle looked mortified.
“Of course, I’ll do that right away!” He said turning and running back in.
I held my side, trying to keep more blood from coming out. I bled profusely as the wound throbbed. Max grabbed my purse and walked to his fathers car with us. He opened the passenger door and his father placed me gently into the car. I held my side tightly and whimpered. He buckled Max up in his car seat, then got in the car taking off like a mad man. “We’ll be there soon, just stay with me!” He called out to me. His voice got softer and softer, I was so tired. I just wanted to close my eyes and rest until we got there. “Don’t close your eyes!” He yelled snapping me out of it.
I nodded, breathing heavily, and holding pressure on the wound. “How much further?” I asked looking over at him.
“We’re almost there now! Just stay with me!” Soon we pulled up to a huge wall with a massive gate. “Open the gates now!” He yelled in his Alpha tone. The men at the gate opened it quickly and he drove through. We pulled up to a hospital, he quickly got out opening Max’s door, then coming around and getting me out. Max unbuckled and hopped out of the car. His father cradled me in his arms, I felt tingles everywhere he touched. If I weren’t dying, I might’ve been able to enjoy it. He ran with me into the pack hospital, and called out. “We’re here!”
A team of doctors and nurses ran to us and led us to a room. He ran in placing me down on the bed with Max hot on his trail. “What happened?” The doctor asked looking over me.
She saved Max, but she was stabbed with silver!” He called out.
“Felix, you need to get back so we can take her to surgery.” He said to Max’s father. So his name was Felix.. I smiled slightly. “Miss, what’s your blood type?” He asked.
“AB negative..” I panted out.
“Prep the OR and get some AB negative”, he yelled out. He unlocked the bed and began moving it.
I blinked slowly, my nerves beginning to set in. I looked over at Max, he was so scared. I gulped then smiled at him softly. “Hey buddy, I’m okay, don’t worry about me. Why don’t you tell your dad about your day today, and when I get back I’ll be good as new, okay?” I said. He ran over grabbing my hand and nodding, tears filling his eyes. “Don’t cry buddy, I’ll be fine, I’m sure your dad is excited to hear about your day.” I smiled drying his tear with my hand. “Go tell him all about it.” I said. I turned away from him and coughed up some blood. The doctor quickly wheeled me away to the OR.
He looked down at me. “You’re good with him, he hasn’t really talked much to anyone since his mother left.” He pushed me into the OR and they moved me to the other bed. The bed I was in was covered in blood. “D***, it’s worse than I thought!” He said. “Put her under, now!” He said. They quickly stuck me with an IV and pumped me full of meds, soon the world faded from view and I was left in darkness.
I woke up to the sounds of crickets chirping outside. My eyes fluttered open and I saw Felix sitting in a chair across from me, and Max asleep on his chest. I looked around the room and saw that the window was open, a cool breeze swept in. I looked back and Max shivered as the breeze reached him. He slowly opened his eyes and scanned the room, finally landing his eyes on me. “Miss Lyanna!” He cried joyfully. He leapt from his fathers arms and ran to me. He jumped up into the bed with me and hugged me softly. “You’re better now right?” He asked with a worried look on his face.
“Buddy.. she’s..” Felix began.
I snapped my eyes to him and softly shook my head. “I’m good as new Max.” I smiled at him. The worried look on his face changed to one of relief, this little guy was so sweet.
