Soran

1207 Words
The huge guy who threw me in the car takes my hands and binds them. While we are still driving down the long entry way. The hot guy in the front seems more focused now, no smile in sight. He sees me looking at him and he quickly looks away. If death stare was a talent he has that down. I am really getting tired of these people and their attitudes. I have not done anything to either of them. Frustrated in my thoughts, I look out the window. I see we are coming to the end of a road and the land. It seems as though we are going to drive off a cliff! Before I can even react we come to a stop and the big guy grabs me and drags me out of the vehicle. Front seat guy is already walking ahead, I am not sure how he got out and that far ahead that fast. We follow him down a windy path of pink, blue, and yellow flowers. I see butterflies and a weird golden sparkling plant. Its beautiful though. Up ahead I notice a glowing orb of some kind on the ground. I step back not wanting to go near it. Forgetting that big guy has my arm thus I am now on the glowing while orb. Front seat guy, I really need to ask these guys their names, does something with his hand and all I see is white. White light is surrounding us everywhere, it is almost too bright to look at. Within a few seconds, but felt like minutes, we are on another orb but this one is purple. I see this enormous castle appear, with blues, purples, and golden outlining a stone building. There are flags hanging of maroon color everywhere but I see purple ones laying on the ground. That is quite odd, I think. There are fountains with dragon sculptures and faeries floating around them. The water seems to glisten more than normal water I have seen. The stone walkway is not made of any stone I have ever seen. It is a green stone with glowing ridges. We come to stairs and go through two big golden doors, into a hallway. I am staring to feel uneasy. “Dahlia, do you sense anything?” “I sense a great deal of pain, turmoil, and the smell of betrayal.” She says. That doesn’t sound very promising. The big guy stops and lets go of my arm. I look back at him and then towards front seat guy. He grabs my shoulder and whispers something in my ear. “My name is Aesterios, if you want to live through everything in the next few moments, follow my move. Do not use that brain of yours and try and escape or be sweet. Make sure you remain who you are, don’t pretend to know what is going on. Act like you do not have your dragon. Actually, tell your dragon to go far back within your mind. My uncle is not going to be the kindest to you. I am hoping that all those years of erasing your memory your family did, helps you.” He says and starts to open the doors in front of us, as I stare at him with such confusion. “Ah! There you are, it took you long enough to get here. Why did you not just fly?” This old old man says as we are walking in. He is sitting on a white and gold chair. Guards are all around him. There are a lot of people with weapons in this room. Then there are people to the right sitting in what seem like benches but they do not look like they are sitting willingly. “My apologies on that, I will make more haste next time.” Aesterios says. He takes me to the front of the old man and drops me. I look up and see the old man getting ready to stand. He uses his marble rod to stand. Stares down on me and smiles with such a wicked looking smile, it makes my stomach turn. “Its nice to finally meet your acquaintance Princess Tova. I have been looking for you for a very very long time. I believe around two thousand years to be exact. Your family or should I say your mother, sorry for your loss, did a phenomenal job at hiding your scent and tracks. There were some instances I almost had you in the past but nonetheless you are here now. Stand child, lets have a look at you.” The old me says and I do as he instructs. “You are a magnificent creation. The alliance is still on!” He yells and no one but the guards clap. “I said the alliance is still on!” He yells again and stares down the people sitting. Everyone stands immediately and starts to clap. “Now, let me introduce myself. I am Soran ruler of the South Kingdom. I have been alive for three thousand years. So I know a thing or two. I have come to the city of Sirations because your mother and father showed up with you. I knew this day was coming I just did not know how excited about it I would have been. We have been hiding out for months in the Western Kingdom’s border, waiting on your arrival. We were promised an alliance when you were born. I intend to see this through. You are betrothed to marry my son, however, he has found his mate since and ran off with them. You will now marry the next best thing I have to a son, Aesterios.” He says gesturing Aesterios to come over to him. “You never said anything about this to me. I refuse, you know how I feel about marriage and mates. I will not marry anyone.” Aesterios says and storms out of the room. “He will do as I say as he always does. No mind I gather you are tired and ready for a rest. These guards will take you to your room. Although, I don’t think you even had a chance to see it, with all the events that happened a week ago.” Soran says smiling with that icky smile again. “Where are my family and friends?” I muster up the courage to ask. “AH! You do speak. They are all safe for now. Mind you any retaliation from you and they wont be.” He says and goes to sit back down. Motioning the guards. Two come over to me grabbing my arms. We go through a thick white door on the side into a narrow hallway. I am directed down another hallway with stairs and we start to ascend. There are tiny windows throughout letting me peak out and see bright blue and white clouds. We suddenly stop and I see French doors the size of a house open up. One guard turns me around and cuts the bind, the other pushes me in the room. The doors shut and I am alone.
