Chapter 54

1024 Words
George's PoV It's been four days now, and I'm here at the market. I greeted the employees; Beatrice did not come because she preferred to be with Darwin. "Just you only boss? Where is Beatrice, by the way, boss?" Edwardo said. "Yes, she doesn't want to come. She wants to be with Darwin, our adopted son," I told Edwardo. "Wait, did you adopt?" Edwardo was taken aback and asked me this question. "Yes, we adopted Darwin because vampire hunters killed his family," I explained as I examined the blood packs in the box waiting to be delivered to the person who ordered. "Did you complete the paperwork required for your child's adoption?" Edwardo inquired. "Yes, it's already completed; right now, I'm just preparing my wedding to Beatrice," I answered the question that Edwardo inquired me, and he put his arm around my shoulder. "That's great; I know you'll take good care of the child," Edwardo responded. "Thank you, and also we're going to take care of Beatrice's mom. Because she has stage 1 bone marrow cancer, but it was caught early," I told Edwardo as he was repairing the blood shipments. "That's good, boss. I've seen people come and go in this world because mortals have fragile bodies, unlike us," Edwardo said as I listened to him. "But I admire you for helping her because I will do the same," Edwardo said as he jotted down the number of blood boxes delivered. "We can't take our fortunes with us to the grave, Edwardo, so that's why I'm assisting Beatrice; her family is my family," I explained to Edwardo. "My only prayer for her mom is that she survives," I told Edwardo as I wrote down the delivery date and time of the blood boxes. "The speed of the day, boss, and you're getting married again, and I was invited, right?" Edwardo told me. "Yes, you were invited, also my butler, to my wedding," I told Edwardo, and then I heard my phone ring. "All right, boss, I'm going back to work. There are a lot of shipments coming now," Edwardo said as he walked away. When I picked up my phone to see who was texting me, Johnny had texted me. From: Johnny Master, I've already found a location for you and Beatrice's wedding; you can come here right now; this is the address. When I saw the address in the picture, I quickly left my market, got in my car, and put on my seatbelt. I opened Google Maps and looked at where I was going, started my car, and Beatrice texted me while I was driving. I can't look at it because I'm driving, and Beatrice texted me twice already. What exactly would she say? When I finally arrived at the venue and parked my car, the first thing I did was read Beatrice's text to me. From: Beatrice Darwin and I are leaving; would you like to join us? He wants to see the Express Mall. Beatrice stated that they had already left and had taken a taxi; I immediately replied that I would follow them. I slid my phone back into my pocket and looked at the venue Johnny had chosen. The venue's name is Hacienda, and I saw Johnny inside talking to the female wedding organizer. I went inside, and the woman immediately looked at me as if she liked me. "Good afternoon, master, this is your venue; I've assigned you to talk to the wedding organizer of your wedding," Johnny said to me as he walked away. "This way, sir, so you can see inside yourself," the wedding organizer instructed, and I followed her. We entered the venue, and it was so lovely; I'm sure Beatrice would love it. "Sir, may I inquire about the theme's designs and colors?" The lady inquired. "Sure, and by the way, what's your name?" I inquired the wedding organizer. "Sasha, sir, these are your wedding designs, then we can also provide food cater and mc for the venue as well," Sasha said, handing me a book that looked like a magazine so I could choose. I looked at the designs and pointed to the yellow plan, which included a small sunflower design based on Beatrice's favorite. "Is it possible that the wedding will take place on Sunday? Because we're about to buy a wedding gown and suit for me as well, I will pay you whatever how much as long it will happen this coming Sunday," I informed Sasha. "It's okay, sir, there's nothing scheduled here for Sunday," Sasha said, listing my and Beatrice's names. Maybe Johnny already mentioned the groom and bride's names. Sasha made me follow her after she finished listing it because I was about to pay, so I took out my wallet. "Just a half payment, sir, because I know you will think about that we will scam you, but we are not scammer," Sasha told me. "All right," I said, handing her the paycheck as she began writing in the book, which was quite large. "Sir, you can call me whenever you have something to add to the design of your venue," Sasha said. I exited the venue, and Johnny awaited me. "Is the venue okay for you, master?" Johnny inquired. "Everything will be ready on Sunday, and you can go home now. I appreciate your help," I said to Johnny as I got into my car. When I finished fastening my seatbelt, I immediately started my car, drove away from the Hacienda Venue, and I'm now on my way to the Express Mall. I picked up my phone and texted Beatrice that I was going to the Express Mall while the stoplight was still red. To: Beatrice I'm on my way to Express Mall. See you there. From: Beatrice Okay, be careful, we've arrived at the food court. I smiled because I knew Beatrice was happy today, and as soon as I arrived at the Express Mall, I parked my car first. When I finished parking, I got out of my car and went straight to the mall's food court to find Beatrice and Darwin. **
