Chapter 4Monday evening
Gary called on his new phone and gave Danny his instructions for the evening. Danny hurried, spending Monday morning buying and hanging shades so no one could peer through the window. He arranged the furniture that was delivered; they had decided on a traditional masculine look for the house. The sofa was upholstered in a plaid of various shades of blue with a yellow stripe. They paired it with two chesterfield chairs done in navy leather. The coffee and end tables were cherry wood as was the dining table and chairs. Danny bought simple gold shades for the windows. Bright gold and red pillows made the chairs and the couch less austere. He wanted everything to be perfect when Gary arrived.
