(Faith's P.O.V.)
I stared at the envelope I was holding. It has been years since I last saw these patterns. But there's no way I would ever forget it.
I can still remember how it was printed on the door of the room where I was imprisoned. I recall staring at it as tears streamed down my face. These were the times when Drake was enjoying my body like I'm his toy.
*Kring!* *Kring!*
I put the envelope down and grabbed my phone from my pocket.
"H—Hello?"
[Ma'am Faith. Good morning again, Ma'am. The triplets and I arrived at the kindergarten already. I just called to tell you.]
"O—Oh..."
I glanced at the envelope on the table.
Did he survive my attack?
I stabbed him with a poisoned syringe. What if he survived it, and he found my location? What if he finds out about the triplets? There's no way I'm going to let him take my kids.
They're mine.
I will not let a cruel man like him have them.
What I had to suffer in his evil hands was enough. I'm not going to let him go near my kids.
[Ma'am?...]
I winced when I heard my helper's voice on the other end. I cleared my voice and smiled even when she couldn't see me.
"That's good. Please, watch them out for me..." I sighed and moved my eyes away from the letter. "...and don't forget their anklets."
There's no way I'm going to let him know about the triplets.
He has no right to them.
They're mine.
[Copy that, Ma'am.]
I said my goodbye to her and dropped the call. I gathered all my strength before finally picking up the envelope once again.
I've heard about their company before, but I wasn't really aware about the profiles of our competitors. I knew they were competitive, and always beside us in the industry. But we always manage to go on top of them.
What if it's just a normal letter?
What if the person who wrote this is actually just competitors?
T—That's better, right?
I should calm down.
I'm overthinking.
"This is just a normal letter, Faith."
But everything crumbles when I opened the letter and saw Drake's name on top. It really came from him. He survived my attack.
My chest started pounding aggressively. It was so loud that I could hear my own heartbeat.
I bravely read the letter.
'Remember me? You would hurt my feelings if you don't. Or I could just help you remember, right? What do you think?'
It was a brief message, but the impact it had on me was massive. He hasn't changed. He still plays me like a toy. He still asks me silly questions about what he should do.
Like as if he's really going to listen.
My legs were starting to feel weak, so I sat on my chair and let my tears stream down my face.
Everything that happened flashed into my mind again. It has been a long time, but his letter triggered it so good like it just happened yesterday. What should I do? I can't let him see the triplets. Who knows what he'd do?
I should have known better. Of course, Drake is influential. Not just in the werewolf world, but also here in the human world.
This letter only means that the Stronghold Corporation is their business here in the world of humans.
When did he find me?
For how long has he been watching me?
I need to take the triplets away from him. I'm afraid that he will hurt the children. I can't let that happen. He could have hurt me before, but history will not repeat it to my children.
I'm leaving.
I'm taking them somewhere safe. A place where there is a better security.
I put the envelope down and grabbed my phone. I tapped Cara's name on the contacts and dialed her number. My mind couldn't stop playing unimaginable thoughts inside my head. Anxiety is eating me.
[Hello?]
"C—Cara!"
[Oh? Is it you, Faith? Wow. I'm actually not expecting you to call me. You didn't invite me to y—]
"Are there any vacant houses in Green Hills Subdivision right now?"
I cut her off.
[O—Oh... That's sudden. Didn't you just moved ten months ago?]
"I need to know if there is a vacant house in your subdivision right now."
Cara answered me in silence.
She must have noticed the desperation in my voice. I honestly sounded demanding and unfriendly.
Cara is my old friend. We met because of Frank. When I was trying to look for a place to stay in, she offered me the subdivision she was handling. She's the owner's daughter, but is currently working right now as one of their sales agents for training.
[Okay... I got it, friend. There's a vacant house here. Three bedrooms. You can expect to move by next week.]
My eyes widened.
Next week?!
But I can't wait any longer than today.
"Is there any way I can move faster?"
[The house is ready, but it's not as easy as that. We have some papers to run, Faith. It will take time. But I assure you that we will do everything to make it fast.]
I massaged my temples.
What should I do? I can't stay where I am longer.
I turned the phone when the door in my office opened. I forced a smile on my lips when I saw Frank entered. He's wearing his favorite white polo under his black blazer as a top, and a black pants paired with shining black shoes as bottoms. His hair is styled naturally with his messy brown hair. He looks so neat and respectable. "I'll call you back, Cara," I said formally and dropped the call. I lifted my head to look at Frank. He was looking at me with questioning eyes.
"Is there a problem?"
I smiled and shook my head. There's no point of letting him know. I shouldn't include him in my issues.
"You're not a good liar, Faith."
He walked towards to me. I hide my phone inside my bag and smiled. He really knows me.
"Mind telling me?"
Frank sits on the chair in front of my desk and looked at me with his elbow on the desk. He smiled like a kid while waiting for me to answer.
I amusedly shook my head.
He only acts like this when we're alone.
"I told you it's nothing."
I smiled.
"I could here from my office, Miss Faith. You were yelling? Kind of? I didn't know you could do that. I still love your voice though."
He could hear that? I thought his office was a soundproof glass wall?
"Just tell me and don't think about making up an excuse."
I released a deep sigh. If there's one thing I learned about Frank; that is he's a stubborn personality.
He won't stop asking unless I give him an answer.
"I'm moving," I admitted.
Frank immediately reacted by raising his brows. He pouted his lips. "Didn't you just move?" he asked. He was with me when I moved to my current plance. He helped me with everything.
He always do.
"I know, but this is urgent. I was talking to Cara when you heard me."
"That's why you were yelling?"
"I wasn't... I was anxious."
"Oh..."
I cleared my voice.
"Why are you suddenly moving though?"
I looked at his brown eyes.

(Drake's P.O.V.)
"They're currently having a small celebration in the company for her success as one of the top architects of the GoodBuild and for finishing a new project."
I listened to my Beta reported to me about Faith while staring at the pictures he managed to collect. These were the photos taken in the event.
She's grown into a beautiful woman now. She looks splendid in her gown.
Thinking about the people who could have seen her dressed like that makes my blood boil. She has the guts to wear provocative clothing like this because I'm not there to forbade her.
I smirked in an annoyed manner.
Looks like the weak and obedient Omega I know is gone already.
Maybe I should bring her back...
"She's planning to move to another area, Sir. There was a call between her and Cara Sebastian. It looks like she's planning to run away again."
I glanced at Morgan. He's standing in front of me with a bowed head. I put the pictures down and stared at him.
"How about her boss?"
"Sir?"
"Her boss. Tell me about him."
"His name is Frank Constantine. He's the CEO of the GoodBuild. There's a spreading rumor that he's courting Faith, and it was confirmed by one of our spies."
My fists hardened, and slowly turned into a rock.
Is that why she's running away from me?
I looked at Morgan with my burning red eyes. I stood up and grabbed his collar. He flinched.
"Find her and take her to me," I said in gritted teeth. I snarled after showing him who the Alpha is, and pushed him on the ground. I chose him to be my Beta because I trust him.
Now, I'm expecting him to do this job right.
"I'll do it now, Sir," he said and turned to exit the room when I suddenly realize something.
"Stop."
I've been ordering my people to watch Faith for me. Maybe the reason she's not scared yet is because she isn't feeling my presence. I think this is the right time for me to make a move.
"Nevermind. I'll do it."
