Jaxon's POV

"My mate ran away. I want the best from you all. If my mate isn't before me by the end of this day, well I guess you know the consequences" I warned them with a smirk.

I saw them gulp before nodding and showing their neck in submission.

"Yes, Alpha" they said in unison. I grinned knowing that my power is what they fear.

They all started walking out the door leaving to find my mate who loves the chase.

"Tyler" I called him.

"Yes,Alpha" he bowed before looking at me.

"Bring Ashley. Say that my mate is missing, she'll automatically come" I ordered him and he left to bring her. Meanwhile, I tried mindlinking my mate which seems to be a success. I heard her heart race through mindlink. Oh! That poor thing didn't know Alphas and their mates can mindlink regardless of the pack.

"Stop glaring and answer me Ashley" I roared lacing my voice with Alpha tone.

"Her name is Mia. How pathetic is that you don't even know the name of your mate" she said and for unknown reason, that hit my heart straight. I shook that feeling. No, I can't get her into my head or heart. She disrespected me so she should face the consequences.!

"You can leave now. But remember that I don't think twice to use you as my bait to find her if needed" I said raising my brow. She gulped and nodded before leaving.

"Alpha, don't you think she might have gone to Nick's pack? I mean, they are close and she ran away. Put the two and two together" Tyler said and I patted his back for the idea. Told you that he would be an awesome beta.

Alpha senses indeed work.

"Except when your mate ran away!" Mason laughed sarcastically, making me roll my eyes.

"Get the car ready, and ask Veronica to come too. For defense" I said and he looked at me before rolling his eyes. That's when I knew he was out of the beta role and now is in my best friend role.

"Take Veronica with us? Are you that dumb, Jaxon.? If Mia is there, and looks at you with Veronica beside you, you think she would come back? And moreover it's Nick's pack. Even if you are his brother that doesn't mean you can do as you wish. It's his land and he holds the power there" Tyler beat some sense into me. I sighed and nodded because I hated the fact that he spoke every word right.

We both started off to the Dark knight pack and reached there in no time. We were at pack borders where the patrol team was. I rolled down my windows and smirked looking at them.

"Al- Alpha, J-Ja-Jaxon" they stuttered looking at me and I grinned knowing the fact that I'm the most feared in our world.

"So, let me go in or shall I rip your heart out with my one hand?" I asked him, showing my fist and he immediately let me in.

Shit! This pack is beautiful. I've never been here since Alpha Nathan wasn't an Ally of mine. Heck, it looked so peaceful than my pack and I already had a reason to hate this land. We reached the pack house and were greeted by the beta. I shook my hands with him and went inside.

"Hey Nick" I waved my hand at my brother.

"Well, Hello brother" Nick replied back with the same tone.

I came in high hopes to find my mate here but there's no scent of her here. If she was here, as her mate I would have sensed her presence in an instant. But she isn't here. Where the hell might she be? Without my own consent I roared so loud that made his army barge in.

Nick waved his hand and they put their weapons down. No wonder they thought of me as a threat. I may be young but I have a record of highest kills in Alpha trainee battle. Words pass around so fast don't they?

"I'll head back now" I said and went out. I tossed my keys to Tyler and asked him to take my car to the pack. Before he asked me why, I shifted mid air into my big black wolf and started running like a crazy wolf. For some odd reason, I was sad. My wolf was sad. Mason is on untame mode now and hell, he looks like a beast.

He stopped for a second and let out a loud roar that made all the little animals around us run faster for their lives. Mason then crouched down and started whining. He was missing his mate's touch.Why am I missing mate? I am changing and I f*****g don’t like it.

After what seemed like a day, I finally went back to my pack. Ashley was already at the door waiting for me to bring her best friend. Noticing that I came alone, she sighed knowing that she isn't here with me.

"Can I go to Nick's pack and stay for a while?" Ashley asked and I looked at her to continue.

"I don't know why but my wolf went crazy when you went there. I feel like something's there" Ashley said and I looked at her with confusion.

"Trust me Alpha. I mean no harm or run away. I just want to know what the heck was there that made my wolf go crazy. And what if Mia comes there after 2 days?" She made her point clear.

That may happen but why was her wolf going crazy? Does she have that strong bond with Mia? Maybe, they are best friends and I was just a douche to her. I don't know why but I was already regretting every single word I said to her. I gave her permission to go there and made my way inside the house.

"Hey babe. You seem stressed. I know how I can make you feel good" Veronica said while running her hands up and down my chest.

"No mood Veronica" I muttered.

"Oh babe. That's fine. It's gonna be fine. Trust me" she said and kneeled down before me. She gripped my shorts to pull them down but I stopped her before she did.

"What the heck Jaxon? You love it when I do that if you are in stress. Why not now?" She scoffed.

"I don't know. I don't know what's happening but I know for sure that Mia has to do with this" I whispered shocking us both.

She was shocked that I finally started to give in for matebond and I was shocked at the words that I spoke. I never thought I would talk about my mate like this.
