Harper holds a large can of popcorn and a glass of soda in her hands while waiting for the movie to begin. Taylor seemed excited to watch this movie since he already bragged about this “wonder woman” movie from last month. Harper guessed he could never move on from the actress. Well, she couldn’t blame him, though. The actress was as sexy as hell even though she already had a child. Harper stuffed the popcorn into her mouth and continued to dig in as if she competed with Taylor’s speed.  His hand accidentally touch hers inside the popcorn basket. Harper instantly pulled her hand away, but he held it tightly. A little bit too tight…in fact, he’s starting to scare her with his searing gaze. Taylor couldn’t help but get carried away by the beauty in front of him. He always wanted her for himself, but she always keeps him on friendzone. Tonight, he couldn’t hold it back anymore. She looked even more appealing tonight, even on that oversized shirt. Harper wanted to scream, but she was unlucky since it was a midnight show, and there are only very few people here. He leaned closer onto her, “Don’t! Taylor.” She warned him and looked away. For a second, she thought that he would give up, but instead, he towered above her. She looked tiny and helpless underneath him. He pushed her back while Harper squinted her eyes closed. He kissed her jaw with such ferocity. Harper struggled underneath him, which cause her shirt to ripped. Suddenly, someone pulled him back from Harper. She opened her eyes and found Adam punched Taylor many times on his face. He hit him mercilessly that she was certain that she saw his eyes turned completely black. Like a devil. “Enough, Adam! Stop it!” Harper stopped him before he could kill Taylor. Adam pulled Harper into his chest, “You’re lucky I didn’t bring my torturing device! Or I’ll pluck your pervert eyes out from your skull!” Adam glared at him. He pulled Harper out from the movies and threw her his leather jacket. “Put these on! I don’t want other people to droll over you.” He said shortly as he led her into his car. “Are you going to stand there the whole night?” He asked as he lowered his car window. Harper scoffed at his rude question and got into his car. The ride was very quiet and awkward without him saying a word. He gripped the steering wheel tightly until his knuckles turned white. “Thank you for saving me earlier, Adam,” Harper said with a low voice. “I’ve warned you before that he’s not good.” He said as he turned to face her. His eyes now already went back to their normal hazel-brown color. She lowered her face from his judging eyes. “I’m sorry…It’s just…I knew him for so long, and he never did something bad towards me.” She tries to reason with him. He let out a deep breath. “Okay, forget about the douchebag… Where is your house?” Adam suddenly asked. She pointed out the direction towards his ballet studio. “This is not a house…” Adam said after they had arrived. “Yes, it’s not…I don’t want to go home tonight.” She said. Adam furrowed his eyebrow. “What’s wrong with your house?” he asked out of curiosity. “It was nothing…I just need to be alone…By the way, how did you find me earlier?” Harper asked him back, switching the topic. “I never went to a movie before…So, I happened to be there accidentally. I even bought the ticket.” Adam admitted shyly as he took out the ticket from his pocket. Harper let out a hearty laugh. “Are you kidding me? You never went to a movie before?” she asked in disbelief. She soon stopped laughing after she saw his sad expression. “Hey, I’m sorry…How if we watch a movie tomorrow? Since I don’t have any ballet practice and nothing to do in my schedule.” She kindly offered. His face lit up like a happy child. “Deal…We’ll go after we finished with the project,” Adam said. She was surprised that he even remembered about their school project. “Okay…then…Good night, Adam.” She said, smiling at him. He swore that she just stole his heart once again with that smile. They suddenly heard a sound from inside the locker, near the bathroom. “Did you hear that?” Harper asked him with a feared expression. Adam stood in front of her, “Stay behind me!” He said, shielding her with his broad shoulder and sturdy arms. Harper couldn’t help but ogle at his sexy back figure. How could she think about his body in such a thrilling condition? Harper’s body suddenly pulled back from behind, and she felt a cold, sharp object on her neck. “Give me your money, or I’ll kill her!” said a middle-aged man with a hoarse voice. Adam turned to look at him with a bored expression. “Do you actually think that you could threaten me with that thing?” She widened her eyes at him. “Adam…Don’t provoke him! He was putting the knife at my neck.” Harper snarled at him. “Why is the human world so full of crime? No wonder my place getting stuffier for each passing day.” He said in an amused tone. “Would you shut the f**k up! Just hand me the money!” the man got impatient with Adam’s behavior. He chuckled and pulled out his wallet. “You want this?” Adam asked him with a challenging tone. “Give it to me! NOW!!” the man shouted. “Okay…Okay…Patience!” Adam then threw his wallet at him. The man pushed Harper until she fell after he catches the wallet. “See you in the afterlife!!” Adam shouted in a joking manner. Harper slapped his face hard after she got up. “Whoa…What was that for?” he asked in surprise while rubbing his throbbing cheek. “Do you think it’s funny, Adam? In case you don’t know…You nearly got me killed!” Harper shouted at him. “Excuse me? How come it now became my fault when it was your choice to stay in this place tonight instead of going home?” he asked, raising one of his eyebrows. He got the point, though. Adam turned around to leave because she didn’t reply. “Adam, wait!” Harper said, right before he reached the exit door of the gallery. He turned around and looked back at her. “Can I stay in your place tonight?” Harper said, making him widened his eyes in shock. “I don’t think it was a good idea, Harper,” Adam said. He didn’t think that he could hold himself if she was about to stay at his place. “Adam, please…I don’t have any other place to go. And this place seemed to be dangerous. What if he came back?” Harper pleaded at him. This could be the end of her. She didn’t know that he was actually are even worse companion than the burglar earlier. He thinks. ******************* Adam finally gave up and brought her into his apartment. “Wow, your place is nice…Do you live here by yourself? Where’re your parents?” She stated in awe as soon as she entered that spacious apartment. Adam watches her every move with interest. “I’m glad you like the place. I lived on my own. My parents had abandoned me a long time ago.” He replied as he took a seat on the long sofa inside the living room. Harper threw herself on the sofa next to him. “I could totally understand your feeling…” Harper said. Adam looked at her with a puzzled look. The next second, she had totally raided his place and turned on the TV, and she told him about the thing called Netflix. “Let me see…how to connect this TV to the internet?” She struggled by herself for moment and then she pulled out her phone from her pocket. “What are you doing?” Adam asked as he saw her typing on her phone. “I’m googling on how to connect this…Because google knows everything.” Harper grinned at him. He was captivated by the technology on earth. “Done…Thanks to google…What movies do you like to watch?” she smiled happily at him, while all he thinks about is taking her right now into his bed. Damn it! He was in desperate need of a cold water bath. “I’ll take a bath first…You stay here.” He said and left before Harper could reply. Harper shrugged her shoulder and continue to watch her favorite TV show on her Netflix account. It took him half an hour to cool down inside the bathroom, and when he came out, Harper already fell asleep on his sofa. He carefully carried her into his bedroom and put her under the blanket. Adam looked into her peaceful sleeping face. Her hair sprawled on the pillow, and her full lips were slightly parted. She looked inviting for him to claim her right now. “Harper, I will make you mine at the right time…Just wait and see.”  He murmured with a low voice, then closed the door behind him. “I guess I have to be sleeping on the sofa tonight…” he talked to himself and made himself comfortable, lying on the sofa. A smile crept on his face after knowing that he already passed the first day on earth smoothly today. What a long day it is on earth.
