Aurela had fear written all over her face. She didn’t want to leave but couldn’t give in to Ethan’s advances.
Ethan, noticing her anxiety, scowled at her “Now hurry up and start moving to the sitting room.”
She started running away from him out of fear.
“Why are you running huh? So eager to see your new master, you fool? Slow down.” Ethan said as he picked up his pace, chasing after her.
Not minding the jealousy in Aurora’s eyes, he reached out his arm, trying to grab Aurela’s shoulder.
“Ethan…. Please don’t.” She pleaded.
“You f*cking dare to tell me what to do!?” He gave her a death stare that made her skin crawl. “He raised his hands to hit her.”
Aurela put up her hands to shield herself from it and waited for the blow to come, but it didn’t.
She became curious as to what made him stop when she noticed that their conversation had drawn the attention of the people downstairs in the sitting room.
In the dimly lit room were her parents, and a man she couldn’t quite make out. He was very tall, and he gave off a powerful aura. Next to him stood four other men dressed like guards and they had a fierce look.
Still trying to read the room, she heard her mother’s pretending voice, “Doesn’t she look beautiful?” Luna Kathryn had taken her time to make sure she was perfect for their arrival.
The Beta in front of them didn’t seem to care about what Luna Kathryn had to say. His eyes were just on Aurela from the moment she walked in.
“Why does she have these marks on her? Beta Ryan asked in a deep voice as he walked toward her.
The room went dead silent as their nerves were on edge when they recalled Aurela couldn’t heal fast like any other wolf because she didn’t have a wolf and this might ruin their plans.
“She fell down the stairs earlier wearing that long dress, didn’t you Aurela?” Alpha Roland asked her with a sign that only she could see.
“Yes, the stairs. My apologies….” She stuttered before looking back at Beta Ryan, hoping that he would believe what she had just said.
“Stairs, huh?” Beta Ryan asked again, not believing what they had just said.
“Yes, from the staircase.” Why don’t we just take a seat and finalize the rest of the deal, Alpha Roland added, trying to distract him, but Ryan was not ready to waste any more time there.
“No, we don’t need further discussions. We have already talked before now and you can finalize with Alpha Aiden Reed on your phone.” Ryan said to Alpha Roland.
“Just a reminder, she is now Alpha Aiden’s property. She no longer belongs to this pack and will never return here, either dead or alive. She belongs to the Bloodmoon pack.
Aurela’s face paled instantly as two cloaked men walked up to her and started dragging her out. “She struggled to break free from their hold.”
“Please let me go,” she screamed in sobs.
“We do not have time for this!” One of them grumbled, gritting his teeth as he received a mind link from Beta.
Why me? Why is this happening to me? What did I do so wrong?” She questioned in tears.
“Ahhhhh…” she shouted as she felt a sharp ache in her arm. Rage came over her as she looked towards it and it was a needle.
She attempted to push him off, but it was in vain, and instantly she began feeling drowsy.
Her mind turned blank as they carried her petite body toward the car.
Tears poured down her eyes, making it hard for her to remain conscious until she finally blacked out.
******
Aurela woke up to the smell of drugs. She tried to figure out where she was, but her eyelids were too heavy for her to lift.
Still in her unconsciousness, she heard the voices of women discussing, but she couldn’t understand what or who they were talking about.
“Poor girl…. She looks exhausted.”
“She has to be strong enough to conceive… maybe there is a chance… pregnancy… I have a concoction that will help” The voice of the women in the background became louder.
Aurela was still confused as she tried so hard to understand what they meant.
Unable to understand what they meant she decided to focus on herself and recall past events. Thoughts of how she was sold to the Alpha Aiden Reed jolted her memories back.
Her eyes snapped open, and her anxiety grew worse knowing that she had arrived at the Bloodmoon pack.
She remembered being drugged and carried to Beta Ryan’s car as she fell unconscious. But she didn’t understand why she was lying on a sick bed.
“She seems to be awake now,” one of the female voices said quietly.”
At that moment it hit Aurela that they were talking about her!
Aurela shot her eyes open, surveying her environment; it dawned on her that she was in an unfamiliar room, with some ladies dressed like servants, Beta Ryan, and two other ladies who dressed elegantly.
One of the elegantly dressed ladies rushed to pull her back as she attempted to get up. “Aurela, it’s okay,” the elderly lady said to her with a smile on.
“You can call me Doctor Lucy,” I’m a doctor assigned to Alpha Aiden’s family and I have been serving them for a long time now, my loyalty lies with them.
Doctor Lucy continued, “I am glad that you are awake, Aurela.” She said as she helped her sit up. “I would quickly check your vitals if that’s okay with you. She added, stretching out her stethoscope.
“You need to eat something. You’ll feel much better. The doctor, Lucy said to her.
Aurela was still not settled as she pondered about what they were going to do with her and she had no appetite for food.
“Can I know the kind of work I am supposed to do?” She asked no one in particular.
Nobody dared to give her an answer. It seemed like they were hiding something serious.
She watched as Doctor Lucy hastened up checking her vitals and putting the rest of the equipment away, while the other elegantly dressed lady whom she later found out to be Beta Ryan’s mate, Mia, moved closer to her Mate.
Aurela sat confused trying to figure out what was going on when she suddenly heard footsteps approaching them.
A tall figure entered the room. He had smooth skin and tattooed arms. His jawline was strong and gave off his powerful aura with a hard gaze that lay behind his gorgeous eyes.
The moment he set his foot into the room, it turned eerily quiet that you could hear a pin drop.
She was lost in the appearance of the man before her, that it took her a long time to realize the others had their eyes cast to the floor, in a bowing position.
“Alpha!” Ryan greeted the man with respect.
He simply responded to him with a nod, as his presence reeked of authority.
She panicked as it became clearer that it was none other than Alpha Aiden Reed.
He darted his eyes away toward Doctor Lucy, who immediately brought out her report book.
“Alpha, Miss Aurela is fit for the task she just needs to eat but has refused to eat her food.
He walked towards Aurela, with a hardened face.
Aurela sat confused as she watched his swift movement, faster than any wolf she had ever encountered. “Within a blink of an eye,” he was by her bedside.
She bowed her head in respect, praying he would just pass, but he stopped right next to her bed.
“Look at me,” he commanded with his deep voice that sent shivers down her spine.
Still facing downward, she tried to pull herself together.
“I said look at me!” he commanded again.
Without any hesitation this time, she looked at him.
He held her cheek, locking his piercing green eyes with hers. She felt like a prey in his hands.
Aurela trembled in fear when he raised his hands. He reached for her hair, trailing his fingers down to her neck. She was shocked to feel her wolf whimper with pleasure and gave in to his touch.
He withdrew his hands almost immediately, jolting her back to reality.
“Alpha!” She called out immediately she realized herself.
“Alpha, can I leave when I’ve worked enough to pay back the loan my father took from you?” She asked, stuttering. “I’ll work hard as your maid or…..”
“Maid?” He questioned. “I see you have no idea why you are here,” He said with a sneer.
“To be your servant or is that not?” She asked him hesitantly, not sure of her answer. “She had a strong feeling something was off.”
“You will be a breeder and not my servant. I’ve more than enough maids,” He said in a stern voice.
“No… please,” she begged as new tears formed in her eyes. She wasn’t sure of what else to say or do but being a mere breeder was the last thing she wanted to become. “I can work hard to pay back all the. Please…. Anything but not a breeder.
“Alpha Aiden’s gaze grew colder as she attempted to run away from the room but his hold on her was tight.
“Noo! Let me go!!” She pleaded in tears.
The others stood in a corner feeling bad for her but couldn’t utter a word.
“Please, Alpha…. I swear by the moon goddess, I will pay it off.” She pleaded to be spared. “I’ll work day and night, whether it takes a year or even five years.
“Please, just tell me the amount of money…”
He was beginning to get furious over all her endless pleadings.
“Ryan, explain the terms to her!!” He commanded his Beta.
“Miss Aurela,” he said, “I’m afraid the amount isn’t something you could ever pay back. Your father took an old loan of fifteen million USD and asked for an extra fifteen million USD from Alpha Aiden, which is a total of thirty million USD. He has been given 25 million USD already.”
Her heart dropped to the bottom of her chest.
“If the debt is not cleared in time, your life and that of your family will be at stake.” As you can see, it isn’t an amount you can pay back as a maid, Beta Ryan added.
Alpha Aiden stood up from the bed after Ryan was done. “Aurela, right?” He called her name in a way that made her heart sink out of fear.
His claws sharpened as he trailed them down to her neck, “You have two options.” Be my breeder or be tortured to death.”
“You have just ten minutes to make your decision!”
