Aurela’s heart raced faster upon hearing the ferocious knock on the door which came at consecutive times without stopping.
“Are you expecting someone?”
“Shhh…not a word. It might be the hunters.” Derrick responded, bringing out his claws and approaching the door steadily.
As for Aurela her heart almost fell into her stomach as Derrick moved closer to the door.
“Not a word,” He whispered to Aurela who read his lips.
Just as Derrick moved closer to the door, he closed his eyes and felt the heartbeat of the person outside which was a bit slow and calm–certainly, it was a man.
Immediately after he opened the door, Derrick collided with his Beta, Lucian who hid himself behind the door.
