MISSING: THE LAST FOSTER

Chapter 20

Raixen's walking back and forth in frustration. He's busy calling all the contacts he have in his phone to ask if they happen to bump or see Shekinah somewhere. He was about to fetch her for school when the helper said she wasn't home. He already been in the grave of her family to check on her and still Shekinah wasn't there.

He ordered all the helpers of Shekinah to check all around in this house maybe she just got tired and fall asleep somewhere but none. He already called his mom to check if Shekinah called but the answer is no.

He also asked their friends to ask if they knew where is Shekinah but the answer is also no, and now all of them gathered her in Shekinah's home with no clue at all. He got here at 7 am because that's her Monday class that's why all of them choses early class during Monday and it's already 9 but still there is no Shekinah.

"Why the f*ck she drives alone? Last night at 6 pm? She left last night, 6 pm?" Lizle's voice raised when the helper said what time Shekinah left at home. It's more than 12 hours now.

"She's still cannot be reached, where the hell is she?!" Hedeliza pulled her hair in frustration and throw herself in the couch.

"Rex, are we not going to report this to the Police? I think, we need to report this now," Felix said while massaging his temple.

Raixen have that thought as well but their is something that's stopping him from doing that. It seems like they don't have or they don't need to do such thing.

"I told mom not to tell the police yet. That's Shekinah, if the Police will know that she's gone, media will run their asses all they way here. That's chaos. Shekinah will be mad once she find out that her name, her face is all over in the internet again, with another assumption from people," Lizle said while looking at her phone trying to contact Shekinah's number.

"The letter is gone in the black box," Raixen said and that caught everyone's attention. All of them looked at Raixen and Lizle grabbed the black box in his hand and there was nothing on it.

"She read it. Was that the reason why she left? I'll be waiting for her to come in the village's gate, who wants to come with me?" Lizle said and Hedeliza raise her hand.

"I'll go. Rex and Felix please check all the places she knew and possible to visit. Come on," Hedeliza said, sighing before grabbing her car keys and nod to Lizle to follow her.

Lizle and Hedeliza was about to open the car's door when they saw the coming Shekinah's car. "Oh My God, Sheki!!" Lizle screams and that caught the boys attention from the inside of the house that made them to come out immediately.

When the car stopped everyone approached Shekinah and she also didn't waste a time and comes out from her car. When Shekinah saw her friends and her boyfriend with worried eyes, she gave them an apologetic smile.

"Shekinah, where the hell did you came from?" Felix said, his voice is telling how worried he was.

"Let's go inside, Sheki, you are going to explain the hell out of this!" Lizle said grabbing Shekinah's hand to enter her house while her eyes are glued to the worried and angry Raixen.

"I'm sorry if I made you guys worried. I just did something important," Shekinah said and sit her ass down in the couch. "I'm hungry can we eat first?" She asked trying to divert the atmosphere.

She's not going to tell them yet what she did. That was a big question mark in her mind that she wanted to get answered and she's sure these people will stop her and she don't want that. Her dad has something to do with this.

The new President, her dad's former Vice President, who showed sympathy when her dad died just announced that their was an anomaly in the palace during her dad's reign and that added the puzzle she has in her mind.

She's just acting like she doesn't f*cking care about all of these but her mind's wanted to blow with her unending questions that she wanted to get answered and she's going to start with that mysterious address in a mysterious place.

"I'm sorry if I make you guys worried. I didn't want you to. I just went one of dad's properties that he included in the Foster's empire project and I fall sleep. I forgot the time," she said without looking everyone's eyes.

She can't see that they believed in her but she's also not explaining further.

"Why didn't you call us? We are trying to call you nonstop but you were cannot be reached," Hedeliza said with a bit frustration in her voice.

Shekinah's eyes narrowed and check her phone, she didn't turned her phone off but it turns out to be really on off. Shekinah as much as possible don't want to show she's confuse of what happen.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I was in a rush coming back here when I woke up in my car and realized it's already 6 am and traffic was also blocking me to drive a little bit faster. You have nothing to worry about me guys, I'm sorry. This won't happen again," she said 25% true 75% false.

Raixen is very observant. She can feel it. He's reading all her moves, words, gestures and eye movements. She indeed can't hide a thing to Raixen.

"Are you not going to school today, Sheki?" Lizle asked, diverting the subject. Maybe she can feel it that Shekinah's not so comfortable of explaining everything, well, she did explained everything.

Shekinah shakes her head for a no. She's going to catch up big time. In her program and she's also preparing for the exam, she should be focusing on her studies but that is not the only thing she's carrying in her shoulder. All the responsibilities are in her ahoulder and she's carrying everything. She can't just leave her family alone. No one is able to fight for them except her and so she is going to fight for them even if that means, putting her studies behind — for the meantime.

"I just want to take a rest today. I felt like, I lost all my strength, I was just sleeping in the driver's seat, I need to stretch," Shekinah said smiling to all of them.

Her friends bid a good-bye and she waived her hand when their cars left, except Raixen who didn't even speak a word when she got back.

"Are now going to tell me the truth?" Raixen abruptly said the moment she just turn around from waiving a good-bye to her friends. His face is telling everything and there is no joke in him.

Shekinah sigh, she can lie around everyone but not with Raixen's.

"I have already read the letter." she started and took out the letter from her pocket. Raixen's eyes followed her hand and his eyes narrowed when he noticed what she has in her right pocket, her pocket knife.

"Why do you have a pocket knife in your pocket. Where did you really go, Shekinah?" He seriously said.

"Let's go upstairs," Shekinah said and take the stairs without looking back if Raixen followed her, she's certain he is following her.

"Babe---"

"The letter seems really came from dad or from someone knows dad and dad knows." Shekinah hand the letter to Raixen and Raixen accepted it with no question and read.

Shekinah waited for Raixen to finish it since it wasn't a long message. Raixen's eyes narrowed and look at her. "What does it mean? What is this clue for the answer of your questions in the office?"

Shekinah took the paper where the address was written and also gave it to Raixen. "I found that in dad's office. Yesterday, I spent the whole day looking for something I don't know in his office and I found that. I'm still not sure if that is really what the letter said, I just took that because that's the only paper that is the same to that letter. I went to that address last night."

Raixen's eyes widened in disbelief. He seems he heard something horrible and dangerous.

"What?! Why didn't you tell me? Babe, what if something dangerous happened to you? This address seems very far, it's outside of the city," he retaliates.

"Yeah, more than an hour drive and uncivilized area. I came there at 8 pm almost 9. That place, that address is something mysterious, Rex. I have to go back there. I have to know, what is the connection of that address to dad and what is the connection of that to my family's death. But now, I have to check again daddy's office." Shekinah explained. She can see the disapproval in Raixen's eyed and expression but he can't do something to stop her. Either he comes with her or just let her be.

"You know how dangerous is this right? If you are going back to this place, go there in the morning not in the evening," Raixen said that she also agreed. She's planning go back there but really not in the evening.

The mystery that happened to him last night is something she wants to understand. She knows she passed out when she stumbled near in her car's trunk but she woke up in the driver's seat with her things, no lost and with her seatbelt on.

What she really felt that someone held her shoulder was real. There was a person in there, with her. The fact that the person didn't hurt her and didn't take her things, he or she might know who she is. That area doesn't seem like a place you wanted to live a life but still that place has a life that can answer her question.

"I know, but I'm telling you that you can't stop me from doing all of these. We are talking about my family here, Rex. You can't expect me to say yes if you are going to tell me to stop it. I will still seek the deepest information of this mystery if that's what it means and even if I'm alone," she said while opening her dad's drawer she hasn't open yet.

There are hundreds of books that she hasn't checked yet and she is going to check every single of it.

"You don't have to do this alone. We are all here for you, why not asked us for help?" Raixen said even though he already have a hint in mind why. He still want to hear it from her.

He knows Shekinah, she won't want to drag other people in everything that doesn't belong in the business. If she thinks that she can do it alone, she will do it alone but he also won't allow that.

"I don't want them to waste their time just to accompany me. They also have things they have to focus on plus I can still do it alone. I will ask help if I am in need of help," She replies and give a smile to Raixen who's looking at her intently.

"I'll come with you. I don't want to stand up just here and wait for you to come back. That would be the death of me, waiting. Just please, don't hide a secret on me, tell me, so I would know where and what I do need to do. I can't afford to let you struggle in this alone, babe. That's why I am here," Raixen said that made Shekinah smile like a saucer. She immediately locked her arms around his nape and pressed her lips against his.

"Thank you so much. I will do everything with you once I finish the puzzle of my family's case. Because you know that from the very beginning, I know that their death wasn't an accident and that boils my blood. I also wanted to take away the breath of the people that are behind of everything but dad won't allow me to that."

"Let's find everything that we needed to find," Raixen helps Shekinah in finding something they both do not know.

"Whoever is the person behind my family's tragedy, he or she will surely be rooted in hell."
