Chapter 19

"F*ck! What the hell I am looking in here?"

Shekinah's been searching for something she do not know what in his dad's office. A day after they went to a vacation that was fun and all, she decided to finally open and read the letter, still hasn't gotten the courage to know what's with the sd card along with that letter yet.

In letter, it was written in there that what she is looking for can be found in her dad's office but what the hell was that mean? Evidence? Answer? What? Because if that so, now, she's more than a hundred percent sure that this one is connected or has something to do with her parent's death.

She's even swearing for her dad having these books. This isn't just an office this is also her dad's library. Hundreds of books around that she do not know where to start. Shekinah opened every drawer her eyes have seen. She breathe sharply and sit in the chair. She's tired and she hasn't found anything interesting and suspicious. She's been here for almost 5 hours now. Good thing it's Sunday and she have no class to attend.

Shekinah almost fell in the seat in startle when her phone placed in the table lightened and vibrated. It's Raixen's mom's calling. She exhaled deeply before answering the call

"Yes, tita?" She answered and wipes her forehead with the back of her hand.

("Hi love, are you busy?") Raixen's mom's endearment to her has always been sweet. She calls her different endearments.

"I.... Uhm, I'm on work, tita. Yes, kind of." She answered and looked around. She can't waste any minute. She has to know what she wanted and needed to know.

("Oh, I'm sorry. I just wanted to ask you to help me convince Raixen to go with Lucas in his taekwondo class later. He's not listening to me. I have an appointment for my nails.")

Shekinah chuckled of what she heard. She pressed her ear to her shoulder to support her phone while again searching for something she needs to find out.

"Ahm, I'll tell Raixen, tita."

Shekinah closed her eyes tight when Tita Monica shouted in thank you. She even almost swear because she has her phone pressed in between of her ear and shoulder for pete's sake while her hand and her eyes are busy checking her dad's stuff.

("Thank you so much, love. Alright, I'll get going now. I'll tell Raixen that you said he's going with Lucas, bye.")

Shekinah's eyes widened and was about to argue and tell her that she hasn't told Raixen yet. She just got her phone from her shoulder and the call just ended right away. She didn't even said bye. Shekinah sigh and shakes her head. Shekinah went to her room to get her earphone and so she won't struggle when someone called her.

And she's right, because just a second when her hand touches her earphone Raixen called. She already have an idea what is this man going to say.

("Babe! Why did---")

"I didn't say anything," she cut him.

("What? What do you mean you didn't say anything? Mom left and she told me that you said I should be with Lucas. I'm not in the mood babe, I am loaded with notes,") Raixen said in the other line.

Well, Shekinah's not surprised. She knew this would happen.

"Well, tita Monica asked me to help her convince you and I said, yes, but I didn't said you have already said yes," she said and laugh when she heard Raixen groan.

("Mom is getting crazy! I was planning to visit you today. Now, I'm just going to spend my day in the kids play room.") Raixen murmured.

Shekinah's back in searching from one drawer to another, one book to another.

"Kuya, are you ready?" Raixen groan when Lucas open his door and sneak his head in with a wide smile. That smile is spoiled and a traitor.

"Can you wait? We still have one and a half hour. I'm just talking to your Ate Shekinah," Raixen said and regretted afterwards. He wish he didn't said those words because in just a blink, Lucas already got his phone and pressed in his own ears with a wide smile and twinkling eyes while talking to his girlfriend.

"Yes, ate, of course. Kuya is going with me." The kid said and Raixen rolled his eyes. He was trying to reach his phone to snatch it back but Lucas took a step backward to have a distance with his brother. "Alright, bye. I love you too."

"You never said I love you to me in your entire life," Raixen said, face palm when Lucas giving him back his phone with an ended call. He always find Lucas cute when he clings to Shekinah. His brother can manage to make his girlfriend smile and be happy. "And you ended the call, huh." he added.

"She said, she's busy and she doesn't want to talk to you. She said I should tell you to hurry up and drive me to my class and be a good brother," Lucas said and walked out.

"What the hell is wrong with that kid?" Raixen mumbled and tried calling back Shekinah. She smiled when in just a first ring, she was able to accept his call. "Hey, babe."

("Hello, baby. Are you not getting ready yet?") Shekinah asked that narrowed his eyes. He still have a lot of time before the class of that kid starts.

"Babe, we still have 1 hour." He answered. He can hear some books pages being turn and some noises in Shekinah's. She probably is doing something right now

("Babe, you know how traffic we have in this country. Get ready now before Lucas kill you.") He heard her said.

"Who are you siding? Lucas or me, your boyfriend?"

He loves his brother but if he is going to steal his girlfriend's attention, huh!

("Lucas.") He almost had a grimace face but he just chose to let his shoulder fell.

"I felt betrayed, anyway, that was just a joke. What are you doing? I can sense you are busy and are you lifting some heavy objects there?" He asked when he heard her like having a hard tone. She seems have hard and heavy things in her shoulder that is why she's catching her breath.

("I'm just aranging some dad's stuff in his office,") she said and that confuse him.

He knows Shekinah would never rearrange his parents stuff. She want it stay what it is. She must be doing something strange.

"Arrange?" He asked.

("Not really, I'm looking for some documents of dad that needed in the office.") She answered.

He nodded but he really can sense that there is something in her. But if she said, it was just something needed in their company, then yeah. Maybe his guts is wrong and just over acting this time.

"Alright, take a rest when you're tired and don't forget to eat. I'll get going now, babe. I love you," he said and put his sweater in his shoulder before going out in his room.

He spotted his little brother watching some cartoons he do not know what it's called while having his backpack on. When Lucas eyes landed on him the kid jumped in excitement and he immediately turned the TV off and jumping so happily while going to his car.

"Why are you so happy?" Raixen said.

"Mom called and she asked if you are going with me, I said yes and she said she'll thank ate Shekinah and she'll buy her presents. Mommy also said, she'll buy me remote car and thank you for you, she said," Lucas explains like an easy. The kid didn't even look at him instead he was looking in his iPad and watching some cartoons again in YouTube.

"She said, she'll buy you and your ate Shekinah a presents and just thank you for me?" He said, repeating what just Lucas said to make sure he heard it right.

"Yes." The kid answered uninterested.

Raixen just shake his head in disbelief. The heck? They seems like having a unity against him.

Shekinah's wearing her hoodie while driving her car to the address she found in his dad's office. She was never been in this address so she doesn't have a single idea what is in there waiting for her. Street lights are now on for its almost 7 pm. The address caught her attention for it was written in the same paper where the letter sent to her recently. The handwritten are the same as well, her dad's.

And that was the only paper in her dad's office. She's not even sure if that letter also came in that address. The package doesn't have an address if where did it came from.

She didn't tell Raixen or any of her friends about this. She understands them that is why as much as possible she don't want to include them in her family problem because she knew they believed what happened was just and accident that her heart refused to believe.

People also been telling that she was just sad, hurting, broken because of the death of her family that is why she insisted that everything wasn't an accident. They're actually right because she's really sad, in pain and broken but that is not it.

Shekinah glanced in her wristwatch and she's been driving for almost an hour now. Seeing the google map she uses as her guide, it says she still have 30-45 minutes to go. This place is one hell of a far away land.

Raixen won't call her because at 6 pm, she said she's going to bed already for she was exhausted and she wanted to take a rest. Raixen would just her to send a message when she wakes up and won't bother her during sleep.

Shekinah personally do not know why she's going to this place it just that it seems like she can get something in there. Her forehead knotted and her eyes narrowed when she realizes she's entering in not so civilized location. No establishments, no houses, nothing at all. It's just a huge and thick grasses all over the area. Only the road she's taking in the place that is clear.

This kind of creeping her out. No one's coming out from this place and no one's coming behind her. Her heart is beating fast when her eyes landed in the map and she only have 5 minutes before she reaches the address she's approaching.

"What is this place? Why dad has this address in his bible?" she mumbled.

Shekinah abruptly stepped on the gas when she's in the end of the road. It's dead end.

"Where the hell is the continuation of this road? Did I reach the location? But it's nothing here," she said while roaming her eyes aroud. There's no street light and it's dark as hell. She only has the light that comes from her car.

Shekinah's ass don't want to move a bit. She's f*cking scared and she's feeling like something or someone is staring at her. Shekinah opens her bottled water and drink a lot. Good thing she always have a bottled water whenever she drives. Shekinah open her car's compartment and take her flashlight with her.

Her dad taught her well. She's a girl's scout. Shekinah gulps but made up her mind and open the door of her car and slowly come out. She turn her flashlight on and uses it to give a light from the sides that is dark.

'The road really ended in here. Is there somebody would want to live this place? This is so creepy' she said in her mind.

Shekinah's focusing her flashlight from each side of the road. She have her phone in her right pocket and a pocket knife in the left. She wish she came here in the morning but her eagerness to get an answer of all her questions brought her here. She's been quite for more than 6 months because she don't have f*cking evidence to show. This is a long overdue.

And her family don't deserve the tragedy. Shekinah's eyes narrowed when the light of her flashlight landed in a small land road in the middle of the tall and thick grass. It's something like going somewhere in the middle of it. It's not so visible and only 1 person can fit in this way.

Shekinah moved her foot to step in the road but she stumbled and fell near in her car's trunk when someone hold her in her shoulder causes her to scream in fear and fright .
