MISSING: THE LAST FOSTER

Chapter 18

Shekinah's mind been occupied lately. What happened yesterday was a big very questionable thing. Still, they chooses to ignore it. She'd been asking if the strange things that happened to her friends and Raixen's family would have something to do with her, but everyone around her also keeps on telling her not to think about that.

They are still trying to protect her even if things around are getting crazy. Thankfully, after that day, those pranks ended as well. Maybe, hopefully, those are just for fun but really not funny. The fact that they tried to make fun with the kid.

"I will be attending the meeting next week, Carol. Please prepare the minutes of that. Also, please inform everyone that starting on Monday, Ms. Hedeliza Tejares will be temporarily taking over my chair everytime I'm not around," Shekinah said over the video conference with her secretary. She's appointing Shekinah as the acting President for she will be taking her internship in Gregor's.

She still do not know what Raixen will think about it. Lizle promised she will be backing her up that she's also doubting.

"Noted, Ms. Foster. By the way, Ms. The board keeps on asking if you will be attending on our new products launching ceremony," Carol asked and she nodded. Of course, their new products is her mom's project, she would never miss it for the world.

"Of course, inform me for everything Carol and all that I need to sign are done, thank you. I'll call you again if there's anything that needed to be clear," she said firmly and end the conference.

Shekinah picked up her bag in her bed and hanged in her shoulder then hurriedly came out from her room to see Raixen waiting for her in the living room. Raixen would never enter in her room everytime she's doing something important for her work and that one of so many things she admired about Raixen.

Her smile widened she her eyes landed to her boyfriend while she's stepping downstairs. He has a flower with him and he looks so good, like always. Shekinah jump for a hug and Raixen chuckled.

"You miss me? We were just together last night, baby," Raixen said, letting out a little laugh. He's right, last night they full their stomach for Raixen's mom prepared foods for them and also, there's a wine.

"Happy 5th anniversary," she happily said and that curved a smile on Raixen's face. He cupped her face and kiss her gently. Her gentleman is right here, in front of her.

"I love you so much, baby," he said the moment he let go of her.

"I love you too, Mr. Gregor. So where are we going?" She asked and put her arm around Raixen's back while Raixen's doing the same and they walk through his car. He didn't bother to put his car inside the Foster's garage because he thought they'd be going right he came.

"The car is there outside the gate," he said chuckling and uses his hand to cover Shekinah from the heat of the sun.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't leave some work hanging. I don't want to rush things in the deadline," she said apologetic because she knew Raixen was already there for almost an hour. They were supposed to leave at exact 12 pm.

"No problem babe. I would also tell you to finish work first before leaving. It's better to leave late than to cut a date just because you have undone work to do," Raixen said while opening the door for her before turning into the driver's seat.

They'll be visiting first her family before going to the place who knows where. Last anniversary, she was the one who chooses a place to spend with but now it's Raixen's turn and she doesn't have a single idea.

"Do you think mom and dad are proud of what I am doing, babe? Do you think I'm doing right? The company, mom's charity, you think I can make it successful than before? Do you think I have the charm like mom?" She nervously asked. She'd been thinking such questions everytime she visits them.

When she started to take over the presidency of their company, the board doesn't have questions or doubt about it because they were already trained. She and her brother, Gio, they were already trained for everything even a single thing of their company.

But because she's doesn't have the experience of running it like too long,she questioned her own capabilities. She don't like that but the pressure is on. Her training lasted for only 6 months before and for that 6 months she was thankful that she made her parents proud.

First, she worked in a small company as a regular employee earning just above minimum, let's say a little above from minimum wage and that's for 1 year before she started training in their own company for 6 months.

She was literally a working student like other people who strive to reach their dreams.

"Of course! Me personally, I am so proud of you. Mr. President and tita Carmen are surely so much proud of you too. They were your biggest fan, I am your ultimatel fan but I know your family was your number 1 fan and they will remain your number 1 fan. Seeing how you conquer all your struggles, how you stand your feet in ground stronger than ever, how you up your head so brave, I know the power couple in heaven is cheering for you. They're guiding you, babe. So, there's nothing that you should get worried about." He said glancing at her and reaches her face to caress it so gentle.

They both come out in the car to say something to Shekinah's family and light the candle and put the flower. Shekinah loves spending time in here but she got a lot in her plates that her parents would want her to look into. They only spent 30 minutes and speak to them even knowing that no one's gonna talk to them.

"Okay, are we a little too far?" Shekinah asked in excitement when Raixen guided her to come out from the car with a blindfold on.

"Just few more steps," Raixen answered and Shekinah followed. After the said few more steps Raixen let go of Shekinah. "Okay, you can now take the blindfold off."

Shekinah followed what her boyfriend said and take it off. She blinks several times and when her eyes met what Raixen prepared for her, her tears comes out in no time.

It's a table for two in the middle of all green environment and inside of a tiny good for two people hut made with bamboo and palm leaf. Everything is green. The enviroment is so alive. In the table, there's her favorite food, flowers and a scented candle in a glass with an open top. Everything is planned and perfect.

"Oh my God! This is so good, who did this?" She asked wiping her tears.

"Well, we got the most supportive best friends, they just left when I texted them that we're on our way, have a seat. Do you like it? I chooses green because I know how much you love green environment even if black and white is your favorite color. That is why there's also a touch of black and white in the table and chairs. The music, I know how much you love Taylor Swift so I'm also learning her songs for two weeks so I wouldn't feel strange listening her for this day," He remarks making Shekinah chuckled.

Shekinah before taking her seat hugged Raixen and thank him. She gave a peck kiss on him that made him smiled and press his lips unto hers.

"I do not know what I did to deserve you. God gave me someone that is worth to fight, worth to live and worth to love. You are beyond perfection, Raixen. Thank you so much," she emotionally said.

"I just asked the blessing of the most important people in your life. So whatever I do to you, with you, for you, I know they are guiding me because the only thing that they want from you is only the best for you," Raixen said cupping her face and looking at her eyes with so much admiration.

"Let's eat? This is supposed to be a lunch date, isn't it? But I am more than an hour late, so sorry," Shekinah said laughing.

"I've been thinking since last year what should I do for this year. I mean, everything that comes in my mind is done. So, I have no idea at all anymore. I had to search if beach date would be better but I thought that is seems so cliche, romantic yes, but cliche so I choose a semi forest-themed date with green environment. I was so nervous when I told them what it was supposed to be because I don't want to be sound feminine, you know, good thing Felix is so attentive because he's getting an idea what he also wanted to do for their date but Lizle found out."

Both of them burst into laughter while busy cutting their meats.

"This meat is so tender, I really love this steak. But how did you come up into the idea of putting a hut in here? Why not tent or something?" Shekinah asked. She was so excited to know what's behind in this plan.

She knows how far from being romanic her boyfriend is in daily activities. Yes he won't hesitate to show attraction even if they are in public but not romantic. He was just an on the go person but when he surprises you, he is beyond romantic.

"The cottages in the beach was the first thing that caught in my eyes but I wanted a twist to instead of nipa hut, I chose palm leaf hut. I love it more and I hope you liked it as well," Raixen answered looking at her with a hope that she likes it. Damn! She don't like it, she loves it.

"I don't like it, I love it. Look how unique is our surrounding. This is so good, Rex," she said with a smile and a single tear again comes out uninvited.

"I witnessed how you struggled in pain in the past few months, babe. And now that you are back, I also know that you are not yet fully healed. But you are strong to conquer the pain and beat it with encouragement and smile. I was supposed to do a big event in our 5th anniversary which is today but I respected the challenges in life that we have to face and have an attention first, but Shekinah Foster," Shekinah's eyes widened when Raixen bend his knee.

"This is not an engagement ring yet, because I know you are in the state of your life that you are adjusting for the new happenings and you wanted to focus on it. For your self and especially for your family. But babe, would you promise me to say yes that you'll stay in my life forever and be my partner for the next many years? For the rest of our life?" While asking her, Raixen eyes are sparkling in happiness.

She was also looking at him with amusement and her eyes gets blurry to the fact that he is considering her. He is considering the things that changes her life. He is not pressuring her just to feed his ego and wants. Raixen is indeed an ideal man.

"Of course, yes," she happily answered.

Raixen immediately put the ring in her finger and hugged her tight. He even squeeze her body that made the both of the laugh.

"Promise, this is not an engagement ring yet. I don't want you to think that I am in rush." Shekinah nodded because she know that. She knows how respectful of a person he is.

"Thank you so much for loving me with no condition. Thank you so much for seeing the future with me," Shekinah said with so much happiness in her heart that she couldn't hold the tears anymore.

She may lost her family but she's still loved by the people she loves. Her family's not turning their back at her. They are guiding her to make sure she is loved.

And for that, she will make sure right justice will be served.
