Azula~ “Please tell me what made you think that would be something I would agree to!” She snapped trying to pull away from him, snatching her head to the side in an attempt to get it out of his hand. “I didn’t think you would agree to it actually” he jeered in return regripping her chin but this time a bit harder to make sure she couldn’t escape this time. “But my dear mate, that doesn’t change the fact that you will be here in my room, my bed, and my arms,” he said in a silky voice dropping his head to bury it into her neck inhaling deeply. Quickly realizing this was a situation she did not want to be in she tried to deadweight herself out of his arms though he simply held on tighter. “Are you dense! I already tried rejecting you, I told you I will not be your mistress Vulcan, you won’t have me.. not like this.” She gushed with unrelenting conviction. “I’ll volunteer” Seraphina purred in her mind, “he can bend me over his Alpha lap and show me what he’s got anytime.” “Oh, please stop talking,” Azula begged silently. “I’m not the dense one Azula, you are” He stated nonchalantly. She was impressed he used her name that time, too bad it was to aid in insulting her. She opened her mouth to defend herself but he interrupted. “Don’t you realize the danger you are in? Sure, you had the protection of your pack before, but we were also separated. Putting us in the same pack puts a bigger target on our back. Killing two birds with one stone but, don’t get me wrong, I believe this prophecy is a load of crap.” He said firmly. “Then why are you so concerned?” She asked curiously. “Because honestly, I will rather be safe than sorry, let’s say it is real and you die because of my negligence. I would never forgive myself.” He softly murmured. His confession caused her heart to ache in her chest, breathing became slightly shallow as she became hyper-aware of his arms around her. She could hear his heart beating wildly in his chest, running its race with no finish line in sight, a marathon she didn’t ask to run but had to anyways. Her hand moved to snake between his arms placing it over his hammering heart. Shivering slightly as sparks erupted between them, his own breathing becoming slightly labored as she was shifted impossibly closer. “I thought you wanted front row seats to my death,” she said finding her voice after a long moment of silence. “I lied” he deadpanned. “Clearly,” she noted softly. Finally, she was released, and she quickly put a respectable distance between them. She still wouldn’t forgive him so easily moving to the balcony window as she looked out over the pack. “But despite me not wanting you to die, I still will not claim you as my mate” he stated matter of factly. “I will keep you safe and that’s it, remember that. Don’t mention to anyone you are my mate. Also on the topic, we run things differently here, you are an Omega, so in the mornings you will be training with me and my warriors just like the rest of the pack and afterward, you will work at the packhouse just like the other Omegas.” She heard that correctly, right? “I have no problems with training in the slightest but I’m your counterpart, and you want me to work? We should be working on the prophecy so we can both be free from what binds us.” She reasoned. “I already told you I won’t claim you as my mate, I will not show you favoritism. It’s how my pack works and it’s how it will continue to work. I’ll have you report to the head Omega tomorrow.” He snapped. Azula wrapped her arms about herself exhaling gently. If she had to pick and choose her battles with this man, then she would. Deciding to let him have this one as she nodded, “Alright, but can we please make time to visit the prophecy? Maybe try and figure out what it means?” She said hopefully turning to face him to catch his reaction. “I can do that” he relented pinching the bridge of his nose “now freshen up for dinner, I’ll send an omega to retrieve you when you are done.” He gave her one last glance before leaving the room closing the door behind him as she allowed herself to deflate. “Well, he doesn’t seem so bad,” Seraphina chirped in happily. “I suppose you are right; I’ve heard of other alpha’s being far crueler to their mates.” She told her wolf as she moved to the bathroom washing her face and hands. “I didn’t like that woman hanging on him” Seraphina growled recalling the incident. “You know he wanted a reaction; we did the right thing by not giving him one” she reminded her. “Doesn’t change the fact that I wanted to rip out her throat and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine for touching what’s mine.” She cringed at the imagery that flashed in her mind “please for the sake of my sanity don’t say that again.” “I’ll remember to say it when you are least expecting it.” Seraphina rebutted, “Oh please no,” Azula thought. She jumped slightly at the knocking “come in,” she said peeking her head out the massive bathroom. “Azula, the alpha sent me” a gentle voice piped up as a petite adorable blonde entered the room. “I’m supposed to escort you to the dining room when you are ready.” She offered the woman a bright smile “of course give me one moment,” she said, quickly turning to grab a small towel to dry her face then her hands before following the girl out of the room. “So you know my name, but may I ask what is yours?” Falling in step with the girl. “Ysabel” the girl exclaimed in a bright tone. “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Ysabel, and if I may say you have a very beautiful name,” she cooed watching as a blush crept over the woman’s cheeks causing light green eyes to brighten a fraction. A small stutter escaped her as she responded. “Th - th - thank you! Yours is very beautiful as well.” She was led the rest of the way into the dining room, Vulcan standing as she entered pulling out her chair that was beside him. Moving swiftly to take a seat noticing the woman with brown hair from before was also sitting nearby. Plates were made as she fought to ignore the glaring woman, that is until she was directly spoken to. “So Azula is it?” The woman attempted to ask casually, though you could hear the underlying tone of hate. Which didn’t go unnoticed by Vulcan as he tensed slightly. “Yes, it is,” she said smiling at the woman regardless “and you are?” She asked politely. “My first kill” Seraphina growled in response to the woman in her head. Though Azula didn’t give away such thoughts blinking quite innocently. “Odette” the woman purred “the future Luna,” she said confidently. “Yep, she is dead, get a journal darling cause we are about to start taking names and kicking asses,” Seraphina’s melodic voice rang out in her mind. Though when Vulcan didn’t deny this, she couldn’t help but feel the way her heart plummeted into her stomach. A feeling of unease settled over her as she lost her appetite, it felt as if her walls were crashing down around her, laying ruins to her heart, and placing cracks in the foundation of her soul. What was so wrong with her that he acted this way? He seemed to want her one moment and then the next he didn’t. He sought her out, held her close, and then pushed her away like one would push a boat out to sea. Except her’s was riddled with holes and she wasn’t given a paddle. “I see,” she said gently forcing emotions of jealousy away. She couldn’t blame the woman for the choices of a man, and she had no idea she was his fated mate. “Well, I could see why you would be chosen as the Luna, you are quite beautiful. I wish you two many long and happy years together.” She forced the words out regardless of how much they hurt. She stood brushing off her shirt to occupy her hands. “I’m sorry for my early exit but it’s been a long couple of days and I wish to get some rest. I’ll see you all in the morning.” She turned on her heels to leave but bumped into a tall wall of pure muscle. Taking multiple steps back blinking quickly, the man before her was 6’2 with the most beautiful caramel-colored skin, hair the color of dark chocolate, and his eyes a soft brown framed with long lashes. He was stunning though he had nothing on her mate. “I’m sorry I should have paid more attention,” she uttered stepping around him. “No problem pretty lady, I’d let you run into me any time” he cooed “Almost sounds like he wants us to peg him” Seraphina deadpanned. She snorted loudly with amusement trying her best not to burst out laughing as she was forced to look away her face turning red. Vulcan taking it the wrong way and assuming she was flustered his menacing growl filled the room causing everyone to jump. “Elias, back off and let her go retire for the night,” he snapped holding his fork so tight she was convinced it was going to snap. Deciding not to wait around and hear how the rest of this went down, she quickly went back to the room she was forced to share with him. Collapsing dramatically on the couch. “I can’t believe you said he sounded like he wanted to be pegged,” she groaned to her wolf. “Am I wrong?” Seraphina asked. “No!” I responded honestly “Didn’t think so,” she replied in response.
