~Azula~
She was trying her best to contain her excitement she didn’t get to travel off pack lands so seeing a new pack brought an indescribable feeling. Completely unaware of the man who was watching her as she nearly smushed her face against the glass not caring if it made her look unattractive.
“Is my Little Flame excited to be here?” Vulcan purred close behind her.
“Why are you so close?” She demanded as she felt his breath on her neck his body pressing against her.
“Why wouldn’t I be when you are looking rather naive and adorable, I can’t read you” he softly whispered.
“One moment you are guns blazing and rejecting me and then the next you are blushing and leaving face imprints on my car windows.”
Oops.
“I’m only like that when I need to be” she reminded him “and with you, I needed to be” he looked like he wanted to say more but thankfully dropped it as the car pulled to a stop.
People already waited to get a glimpse of them, and she was… oddly calm, despite the chaotic beginning it felt as if everything was falling into place. The driver came around opening the door for her as the crowd cheered. Offering them all a smile. A movement on her left caused her to glance in that direction to see a stunning woman with short wavy brown hair and dark eyes giving her the death glare.
Had she already made enemies? It was soon revealed why she received such looks as the woman’s face changed lunging into the arms of Vulcan, her chest ached at the sight. The mate bond was still there and it hurt seeing such things. Her lungs were on fire with the unspoken words of wanting to claim him. Her heart was at war with her mind, and this time her mind won.
She knew exactly how he wanted her, and that was as a mistress, but she wouldn’t put up a jealous fit and allow him to even consider the chance of her being a toy for him. Catching his gaze as he smirked, instead of giving him the reaction he desired she swallowed her pain and smiled causing his face to fall as she turned away from him.
Azula moved without waiting for him, the crowds parting for her, and honestly, she was just going to look around until she could be shown her room. Moving up the steps of the packhouse as strong arms slipped around her waist. The sparks caused her to shiver the scent of Cedar and books surrounding her in a blanket of comfort.
“I was worried you were far too busy to show me my room” she observed without hesitation though it was out of honesty, not jealousy.
“Are you jealous mate?” He proudly asked in a confident tone leading her through the unfamiliar packhouse.
She had to cover her mouth the keep herself from laughing “I’m afraid not, your past is your past, I will not question what you did before you met me Vulcan. I will hold no resentment towards any woman you have been with, people form relationships all the time why should I hold your past against you when it didn’t involve me?” She explained softly.
He pulled them both to a stop twisting her around so she was facing him. He was giving her the most perplexed look. Causing her to raise one brow gently her head tilting a fraction.
“You are different from most,” he murmured thoughtfully.
“Vulcan isn’t that what I’m supposed to be to you? Different... after all, I am your mate.” She reminded him.
He brushed strands of midnight blue hair from her face, his thumb traveling over her cheek leaving a trail of warmth and sparks. “I hate this bond,” he growled out causing her to sigh and look away from him. She had offered to get rid of it.
“I offered you a way out of it!” She reminded him but ultimately decided that she didn’t want to argue speaking quickly to add “But perhaps you can show me my room now? I have missed breakfast and lunch and would like to freshen up for dinner.”
He nodded silently releasing her as he led the way, she nearly felt as if she had to jog to keep up trying to fall in step with him though this only caused him to quicken his pace. He seemed to have the mentality that first meant superior, laughing softly at the thought as they rounded the corner.
“And what do you find so funny?” He nearly snapped but this didn’t damper her mood, she was still amused by his unspoken logic.
“Ah it’s just that you think being in front makes you superior” she cooed teasingly deciding to call him out. “You walk not knowing what’s exactly behind you, if you aren’t first you are last but,” she said managing to catch up peering up at him. “If you are the alpha and you stand in front of your pack instead of behind it, how will you know who needs help? From the back you see everything… but from the front, you see a little next to nothing.”
He rubbed his face tiredly “you are 18 could you possibly behave like it?”
“You want me to be an overly jealous mate and whine about you having past relationships?” I mean she could give it a go. Opening her mouth to do just that before they stopped in front of massive double doors. Watching as he opened them and she stepped inside, the room was stunning, warm dark beige walls with a fireplace and a balcony the massive bed looked to be even bigger than a king-sized bed with a massive white comforter and pillows that looked so soft.
There looked to be a small reading area near the fireplace with white furniture and multiple bookshelves. The furniture was a dark brown color with a rustic feel to it. Dark brown curtains that looked like black-out curtains to block out the light. But honestly, it was the scent that caught her off guard the most. Twirling to him to see him smirking softly.
“This is your room, not mine.” She stated firmly. Taking a step back as he approached.
He caught her by her wrist pulling her against him, his massive body easily covering hers as one hand pressed against her lower back and the other cupping her chin with a single finger to tilt her head back “No my Little Flame” he said softly. “This is our room.”
Fuck.
