Azula ~ She was awoken by gentle shifting, her eyes opened as she caught the alluring scent of Cedar and books that was feverishly accompanied with sparks which alerted her right away that it was indeed her mate who was in bed with her. A yawn escaped her as she moved to roll over and speak with him, but the conversation had begun between him and Odette as she lay dormant listening in silence, suffering in silence. His words cut through her like a knife through butter, causing her heart to yield with ease, her vision becoming blurry with unshed tears. Then the kiss, pain pulsating through the mate bond, and what was worse? The fact she couldn’t even consider it betrayal .. not rightfully, he had made his decision from the beginning, they had nothing with each other than his desire to possess her. Sure he betrayed the mate bond… but as a person, she had known who he had chosen and that was Odette. That didn’t stop the pain, the feelings she knew she shouldn’t be feeling but she felt them anyway. Those unshed tears finally began to silently spill down her face. Her breathing felt as if it was constricted, a viper was wrapped about her heart slowly dripping its venom, bathing her soul in soul-crushing darkness and she wasn’t prepared for it. “Azula” she heard his soft voice, his hand moved as if he wanted to wipe her tears away but as soon as they came into contact with her skin she erupted into blue flames. The ancient magic ran through her veins with devastating effects. She felt her magic call out to his as he erupted into his red flames, they fed off each other though her’s burned hotter. They always would. “Hands OFF” she snapped shoving her hands into his chest sending him crashing to the other side of the room. She could see him mind linking the pack probably to evacuate the hospital, but she was so wrapped up in this insatiable anger that somehow manage to corrupt her soul. Was she a hypocrite? She had tried, truly she had, she was patient and understanding but the kiss it broke her .. and he had done it while she had been laying next to him. “Azula please calm down we are burning this place down” he pleaded. “Let it burn” she growled as the flames only continued to grow to reach, to consume, and devour anything in its path even him. “I have been patient with you Vulcan, what else do you want from me?” She said taking a step forward. “I have respected your decision for Odette as your Luna, I have even tried to reject you, I have tried to free us from this bond, and yet you hold on regardless. You continue not to only disrespect me with your wrongdoings but your FUTURE Luna as well. The one YOU chose.” She growled out, the hospital falling apart around them but the debris did not touch them, as if the building was also afraid of the power that was being shown. “You are right Azula,” Vulcan said taking a step forward withstanding the heat from her flames by surrounding himself with his own beautiful red - orange ones. “You have been patient and understanding, I have failed you as a mate, I will not deny that. Regardless I had my reasons, I did, but those reasons vanished when I saw your teary stained face” Vulcan said honestly moving closer. “It was already hurting to hurt you like this before the kiss, but your reaction.. I never want to put you through that again. I wanted to protect you, I don’t have many enemies but ever since I met you I have questioned everything” He said seriously still inching closer, her flames still consuming everything around her. “Us being together puts a target on us, more so you, and you are so … so good, so wise and I didn’t want anything to ruin that. I figured that you would be better off without me. As much as it was hurting you little flame, I felt as if it was necessary and I’m sorry, deeply and utterly sorry.” He breathed out now standing in front of her as she looked up at him. She was still upset the flames showing no signs of calming down as she glared up at him. Her blue eyes held the rage of the sea within their depths willing to drag one under if they sailed in them for too long. She wouldn’t give in to his sweet words so easily. She was a slow learner, but she was learning. “You speak of what you have done in the past tense what does that mean? What are you implying to me Vulcan?” She snapped seriously. “That I’m done denying ourselves of happiness, of the bond, of having to stay away from each other. That even if it brings hell knocking at our door I know that we will be fine because we have each other. I have done you and Odette wrong, it’s exhausting fighting the bond, definitely when it’s with a person as genuine as you are.” He breathed out. Her hand rose as she slapped him hard the sound seeming to vibrate around the room, their flames dying out revealing the room black and burnt to a crisp. “About time you i***t” she breathed out, moving to cup his face and crashing her lips against his. Who said men had to be the ones to kiss first? Her lips moved in sync with his, her hands shifting from his face into his hair as she gripped it lightly. Red strands of his hair entrapped between her delicate fingers as she held him in place. The sparks that erupted between them were indescribable, the passion that poured from the kiss was like a virus, willing all to fall victim to its glorious display. His arms moved about her to grip her tightly against him, the sparks that surrounded her causing her to gasp as his tongue invaded her mouth, waves of Pleasure coursing though her as his canines nipped at her lips drawing blood as he deepened the kiss further. Vulcan was taking her to heaven, all while showing her the glory of hell at the same time. She was the sinner and his lips were the holy water in the pulpit that desperately dragged her under to cleanse her soul. Finally breaking for air as they desperately fought to catch their breaths, her forehead resting against his. “Be mine,” she mumbled breathlessly against his lips. “Always” he whispered just as breathlessly. “I’m going to hold you to that” she said seriously searching his eyes for any deceit, after everything that happened in such a short amount of time… she knew the mate bond worked fast but the speed worried her. Azula released him taking a step back as her gaze moved around the room, “I apologize for wrecking the hospital, I let my emotions get the better of me, there are far better ways then the way I had expressed myself.” She said in a truly sincere voice. She wouldn’t apologize for the reason of her anger but she could most definitely apologize for the destruction of it. So they had agreed to be mates, she would still take it slow, test the waters. He seemed… unsure of himself in so many ways, while she knew what she wanted .. he didn’t. Or at least that was how it looked. “You should go speak to Odette,” she finally breathed out, this would be the first positive step in forming a bond. “You have done her wrong as well, I’m fine now, I’ll go freshen up while you go talk to her,” she said quickly walking past him though he quickly caught her hand. “Will you join me for lunch?” He asked softly “I want to get to know more about you, plus i promised you that we would talk about the prophecy instead of sitting around and waiting for it to happen.” She gave him a small smile and nodded, “I’d love that I haven’t eaten that well since I’ve arrived.” She confided as a worried look danced in his golden eyes. “Im fine I’m fine” she said quickly interrupting him before he could go off on a tangent of worry. “Alright, but I’m going to mind link Ysabel as soon as you are finished in the shower I’ll have her show you were the garden is located for our lunch” he said seriously. “That works” she said giving his hand a soft squeeze as they walked out of the building together though before they could separate to go do their own things he leaned in and whispered. “Thank you, for allowing me to make up for what I’ve done.” Well you had a long way to go buddy. “I’ll send by the pack witch to do a restoration spell on the hospital.” Oh well, that was handy. “I’ll see you at lunch” she said releasing him as he nodded. She began heading back to the pack house… oh man .. she had really kissed him… was it bad she wanted to do it again?
