Alpha Oscar - POV "Where did you go, baby?" a sweet voice called as I entered my room after meeting Faye in the Red Night Pack. I found Mae standing in lingerie, giving me seductive eyes. However, my mind was focused on Faye, and I was furious that Atlas dared to stand against me by keeping Faye in his pack. Atlas was my best friend and the one I learned a lot about being an Alpha; I never thought Atlas would step into this. He was never the one to get into anyone's business, so why is he meddling in my life? Why did he say Mae was bullying Faye? "What's going on, babe?" Mae softly caressed my cheeks, looking at me with concern, and she took a sniff at me. I growled at her, warning her not to start with me as she picked Faye's scent on me. Mae's concerned expression turned into anger. "Why is Faye's scent on you? "Mae snapped. "So, the mate bond still stays with Faye?" Mae asked, folding her arms and giving me a hurtful glare. "It seems the mate bond with Faye is not normal," I muttered. "What do you mean?" Mae asked. "Or is this an excuse to f**k me and my cousin's sister, who is also your mate?." "Mae, I told you I wanted you before the pack. Faye is a fated mate, and my wolf pushes me to her," I snapped. "You think I will go to Faye of my own free will? It's the mate bond making me act out." Mae scoffed. "Maybe you accepted the rejection properly. Did you go to the Red Night Pack to reject her?" Mae asked. I shook my head, telling her I did, but that was untrue. When I tried to reject the mate bond again in the Red Night Pack, my wolf stopped me and my wolf wanted to bring Faye back. "You're zoning out on me, Oscar," Mae snapped. "Are you even listening to me?" "I'm sorry, baby. I'm feeling exhausted from the mate bond chaos. I need time," I said. Mae frowned. "Fine, I'll go and prepare things for our engagement. I hope you don't take forever to get your wolf to move on from Faye," Mae snapped. She was dressing up. "Mae, wait." She stopped and turned to look at me. "Did you ever try to hurt Faye or bully her?" I asked. "What! Who told you such lay?" Mae asked, her eyes holding sadness. I felt terrible asking her such a question, and my head hurt suddenly. I "What is happening, Oscar?" Mae rushed to my side. Mae fed my regular migraine pills, and my body started to feel relaxed. Mae's soft gaze was on me, and Mae did not look angry with me. "I am Fine, Mae. You can check on my sister, Nicole." I said, and Mae left, kissing my forehead. "You will not marry this woman. I want only Faye," my wolf, Jake, growled. "Shut up, Jake. I don't need to hear from you anymore," I snapped. "You have to," my wolf Jake hissed. "Faye is our mate. You can't reject her. I'm not letting you." I felt irritated by my wolf's stubbornness. "I am marrying Mae, and you have to deal with it. She will be our Luna and be marked as my mate," I growled. My wolf scoffed, not happy with my decision. "What makes Faye special, huh?" I snapped at my wolf. "Her family and she had a hand in killing so many, including being unable to save my parents when the plague hit the pack and got out of control. I lost my family, and those Faye's Family bastards couldn't save them," I snapped. "Mae tried to save my sister. At least she is in a coma. I feel Mae is a better healer than Faye Cooper is." My wolf stayed quiet and didn't put up a fight, but I sensed he still wanted Faye around and not Mae. ***** Mae - POV I realized I had to deal with Faye urgently. If Faye managed to collect evidence of me bullying her, I couldn't let her expose me. I needed someone on my side to help ensure Faye stayed silent. After thinking it over, I decided to reach out to Ash, someone I knew I could count on. "Hey, Ash. It's me," I began. "Mae, I appreciate you letting me know about your cousin Faye," Ash replied, and I couldn't help but smile, knowing Faye was going to have a tough time ahead. "I need to ask you for a favor," I continued. I explained to Ash that Faye was threatening to spread lies about me to Oscar and might even try to attract Atlas with her same schemes. "Don't worry about it. I'll make sure Faye keeps quiet. We have to stick together, especially with protecting our relationships from a w***e who tries to meddle," Ash assured me. I smirked, liking what Ash was thinking. "So, what's your plan to ensure Faye doesn't spill anything about us?" I inquired, curious about Ash's strategy.
