His heavy body fell right on top of me, but I couldn’t even feel the impact of it landing on me. I couldn’t tell whether my body had been numbed by the snow or by what I had just done. I couldn’t look at him, I couldn’t feel what I was feeling.  I managed to somehow get him off of me. The first feeling I got back in my body was that of pain, coming from my ankle. My clothes were wet with snow, but I had finally stopped feeling the cold. Declan was face down, with red snow all around his head. My hands were shaking but I forced myself back on my feet, ignoring the pain that came with it. For a brief moment I considered rolling him over so I could get the pin back, but I realized that I would not be able to stomach the sight of him. I had killed him, I had killed someone’s mate.  I stumble
