48 Under Attack

Katie spent the next few weeks in a whirlwind, trying to keep up with all the assignments, pack business, and her growing family. Chase and Chance had been told by her mother to leave her alone for four weeks following her coma because of the invasive surgery that had been performed. They were very excited that the four weeks were over. Chance had even scolded Chase for what happened during the competition.
Katie brought Jason home as usual for dinner, classwork, and spending time with the pups. He seemed to enjoy spending time with the kids. On this night he was in the nursery reading to all the pups. Katie watched on as Kylie crawled into his lap and the rest gathered around. Once they were finished, Alex remarked how attentive Jason really was with the pups. Chase wasn't a huge fan of Jason but even he realized what an important role he now had with all their pups. He gave Katie a hug as he left for the night.
"See you in the morning, My Queen." Grinning he left as he heard Chase growl.
"Katie, you know what tonight is right?" Chase said eagerly.
"Ummm, Friday," Katie said grinning.
"And?"
"And, I get to sleep in." She said still smiling.
Groaning, "For the love of God, please say you are kidding."
Katie dropped her clothes on the floor and walked naked into the bathroom.
Chase stood there in shock. Did she really not remember. He was going crazy waiting and she seemed unaffected by the time they had spent waiting.
Chance looked at Chase, "What did you do?"
"Nothing, she really doesn't remember."
Walking to the bathroom, Chance knocked. Katie did not answer.
Finally Chance opened the door. Katie was in the bathtub surrounded with bubbles, her eyes closed, head leaned back. Chance removed his clothes and got in with her, pulling her onto his lap.
Chase followed and after watching for a minute, he removed his clothes and also got in. Picking up her foot he began massaging it and up her leg. Repeating the action with the other. Soon Katie was moaning, making his situation worse.
"That feels so good." She moaned
Chance was massaging her back and arms. "God to sleep, baby girl. We will take care of you." Chance whispered into her ear.
Chase shot him a dirty look, which he returned. Katie soon fell asleep.
Carefully removing her from the tub, Chance wrapped a towel around her and brought her into the bedroom, then he placed her on the bed and tucked her into the blanket. She looked so peaceful that all he could do was watch her sleeping form. Shortly after he was mind-linked.
"Alpha we are under attack."
"Where"
"Northern border."
Chance Mind-linked the pack, "Northern border is under attack, Guards to your posts."
Very quickly guards were in the residence protecting the pups and Katie. "Don't wake the Queen unless it becomes necessary." Chance orders and they leave the residence.
Chance, Chase, Alex, & Lucas are soon at the site of the invasion. Little did they know this was just a diversion. The battle lasted for over 6 hours and once the last of the rogues had been captured and brought to the dungeons, they returned to the residence. They checked on the pups first and then went to check on their mates. Chance was confused when he saw the bed was empty. Where was Katie, she would not leave the pups if she had woke up? Looking around, he realized her guards were also missing, then he smelled an unfamiliar scent. He immediately mind-linked, "Your Queen has been taken."
Within minutes the warriors and guards were awaiting their King's orders. "Trackers, find her." As soon as the order was given they were outside the house following the scent. Chance and Chase were shifted and following as well. Ariel and Hannah could not believe something had happened and they had not heard anything.
Katie POV
Katie slept for a long time. She was not sure how long she had been asleep but woke up feeling more refreshed than she had in a long time. Looking around, she had no idea where she was. The room was beautiful and the bed was that you would find in a young girl's room, with a canopy. Looking down, she was wearing a pink baby doll that you could see her entire body. Pulling a blanket around her, she continued to look around, confused. Hearing a knock, someone entered with a tray of food.
"Your breakfast Luna."
"Where am I," Katie asked confused
"Your new home, Luna."
"What is your name?"
"David"
"David, where am I. How did I get here?"
"The Alpha brought you here, you are with the rogues."
"Who dressed me?"
"You were only wearing a towel, my mate dressed you."
Breathing a sigh of relief, "Please thank her for me. Why did he bring me here?"
"To be his Luna."
"I have two mates already and 13 pups at home, please let me go."
"I can't, he would kill my mate and me if I did that."
"How do I get out?"
"I am sorry Luna, I can't tell you that. Please let me know if you need anything, I will get it for you."
"I can't be without my pups, I am nursing. I am in pain, they need to nurse."
"I will let the Alpha know."
