New Friends: Valerie's Point of View

1325 Words
**We leave Millie to go to Valerie.** I was excited that Vincent had found his mate, even if she had been an Omega. It made it harder that she was bringing another Omega back from the palace and I was to be her guide in school. I cannot imagine how this will turn out. The only positive is that Vincent would be inclined to let us go shopping and I could dress her up like a barbie. That would be fun. I personally loved fashion and was the leader of the females at the school. Even if she ended up not being a good fit for my group, I had enough influence that no one would mess with her. That I could promise, and it should be enough for my brother. At the first dinner I lied and said Meghan and Talia would love her. The truth is, it would take a lot for this group of girls to let her into the group. We had specific reputations to uphold. After last night’s dinner, I knew she did not have what it takes. She was shy and introverted. She was pretty and athletic. Maybe I could get her friends in the warrior group. That group is always training, and I think Fillian said something about how Millie wanted to be a warrior. This was a good fit, and no one would blame me if she chose other friends. That is what I will do. Be super nice until I could pawn her off to another group. I will feel her out tomorrow when we go shopping. Millie met me at the front of the house. The driver was to drop us off at the mall where he would return 3 hours later. The damage I could do in that time. During the drive, I took in Millie. She wasn’t bad looking. Fair skin and chestnut brown hair. She was tall and thin but with training she would probably define it out. She wore no makeup. Leggings and a t-shirt would not do. I had my work cut out. “So, Millie,” I started. “What was it like living at the Palace? Were the Princes amazing?” “It was good, I guess.” She responded. “I interacted very little with Prince Cole but Cash is a handful.” “Cash?” I thought about whether I had heard of him. “Yes, he is young,” she replied quickly. Her nerves were showing. She will need to get over it or our school will eat her alive. “Do you have anything particular in mind for your wardrobe or should we start with the dresses for the Luna ceremony?” I said with excitement. I already had my eye on a lowcut, high-slit orange number that I had seen last week. “I think school uniforms rather than dresses,” Millie said. I laughed as I pulled her to the first store and started piling dresses, skirts, cardigans, and tank tops near her try on room. This was going to be fun. She could try on everything and I could see what would be best. “Our school doesn’t do uniforms,” I replied, stacking a mini skirt on the top of the pile. “However, we want you to look your best. You will be hanging out with my group after all.” She looked at the mini skirt. “Really? I’m going to school and not a party, right?” I broke out laughing. “Everyday is a party with me. Now go try it on. Your legs will look amazing.” She smiled and tried it on. It looked amazing on her. She was well toned, and the warriors would be lucky to have her. We chatted about various topics. I talked about the different groups at school and saw her light up at the warrior’s group. This was good for my plan. Even if the plan didn’t work, she wasn’t horrible to be around. She didn’t talk much and was eager to please. I found out that she was entering school as a senior as she had most of her classes completed online. She would be a good person to get study notes from. We started to become good acquaintances by the end of the shopping trip. She tried on around 40 outfits, and we decided on 20 or so for her. “I will do the mini skirt with the sweater and the tank with the leggings?” Millie said, looking at all the clothes. “Not what I would do, but you have an eye for fashion.” I said, smiling. “Now my turn.” I tried on the orange dress. It was amazing on me. Mille chose a light blue one. Which, personally, I felt washed her out, but she said it was her favorite color. We got back and parted ways, saying we would meet up and go to school together on Monday. I texted Megan and Talia to prepare them for our guest. Megan was an Alpha child and Talia was from the same pack and was a Beta. They were not too happy to have an outsider dividing our attention. I told them it was only until she made her own friends. Millie was excited and nervous on the way to school. I tried my best to act like her new BFF. In introducing her, I saw the sideways glance Megan gave her but she quickly recovered her judgment when I lifted my head. The next few days were a blur between classes and trying to introduce Millie to everyone. She was following me around like a puppy. One good thing was she had already taken the Chemistry class and she was going to tutor me. This would be us hanging out while she helps me with homework. Vincent would be pleased we were spending so much time together. Millie was busy on Wednesday through Friday setting up the party, so I didn’t see much of her. It gave me the perfect opportunity to speak to Stephan about Millie. I had literature with him and cornered him before lunch. Stephan was a senior and really the biggest jock you can have at a wolf school. I told him of my plan. “The new girl Millie,” Stephan responded. “I thought she was an Omega.” “Yes, she was, but she wants to be a warrior.” I replied, looking up at him. “If you do this one favor and take her in your group. I would be very grateful.” I ran my hand down his arm. Stephan had not found his mate yet and had a bit of a reputation. “How grateful?” he smiled back. “Find me after school and find out,” I replied. He agreed he would start to bring her in the fold. I would still need to keep up the friendship for a few months so my brother wouldn’t notice. After school, Megan and Talia all gushed over who would be at the Luna ceremony. “Pretty much everyone who is anyone will be there,” I said. “Will the soon-to-be Alpha of Crimson Moon be there?” Megan asked. “Yes. He arrived on Wednesday but has not really been social,” I responded. “Remember ladies, one dance only. He is mine.” “Don’t you have to meet up with Stephan?” Megan shot at me. I didn’t hide that I too had a bit of a reputation. Not everyone waited for their mate. “That is just a favor, and we don’t know our mates yet,” I smiled. I turned to see Stephan waiting in his car. I walked to him, and we took off to a secluded place off campus. It was quick and not very pleasurable, but he was well satisfied.
