I knew when I was in danger. That is an ability most species in Faery had and my stay on earth did not affect that ability and currently, that ability was ringing alarm bells so hard in my head. “Hello, how can I help you?” I asked. “You have a lot of nerve.” The one in center gritted out. Another cliché earth characteristic which Faery teenagers also had. The queen bees of the school, moved in a pack and if they were three, the overall leader was always in center. I have watched the one that spoke throw herself at Cirdan over and over again and although something in me bristled at it, I ignored the feeling most of the time. Until they decided to get into my face. “Yeah I do. But with what?” I asked, shrugging a shoulder delicately, my fingers already itching to slam her head into the wall beside me for talking to Cirdan and nothing in me concerned about the apparent danger I was in. Yep, you guessed right. Even with that ability, I was still more danger prone than an average human. “With everything.” The one boxing me in from the left replied with a sneer. “From getting Cirdan attention to running your mouth about what you thought we were responsible for?” The one at the other side responded. “So you are not responsible for trying to ruin my image?” I asked corking an eyebrow in surprise. If they do decide to answer me, they just made this the easiest way for me to find out who did. Surely people who were still in this school and don’t want me here and are willing to do something against me cannot be that much. The three looked at each other before letting loose loud laughter, I looked around not understanding their reactions and I saw that people around were hastily walking away, acting like they are not seeing this confrontation. And just as their laughter started, it ended with them straightening and looking at me with unimpressed faces. “You must have a high opinion of yourself.” Both on the sides said together as if they had rehearsed it. Their reply made me stiffen and as usual, my sarcastic side came out to play. With a shrug, I replied in a false modest voice. “I do try my best.” “Please, for you to suggest we try to ruin your image, you have to have one and we refused to let you use us as scapegoats to the Principal in acting all that you certainly are not. You ever voice what you did this afternoon ever again, this rumor would resemble heaven compare to what we would put you through then.” The one in center threatened and as usual with my weird brain, I saw that as her admitting that she started it. “So you just confirmed that you started the rumors?” I asked just to clarify. The three of them exchange a disbelief look at my question before they turned to me. “And stay the hell away from Cirdan, he is not your type or league so do yourself a favor and stay away from Vi’s property.” One at the left replied, pointing to the girl in the center. And just as with before, I did a word vomit instead, I really did need to work on my survival instinct. “Does he knows that he is yours?” Apparently that was too much for Vi as she slammed me into my locker. “Listen b***h, I have watched him for years and worked hard to earn my place in his life, if you think that I would let a little miss goody two shoes who is just breezing in to steal him from him by undoing all my hard work then you are delusional.” “You just shoved me, that is against the rules.” I replied, dazed and in pain with the force she used. She rolled her eyes. “Stay away from Cirdan and you won’t find yourself in the principal office questing for a transfer out of here.” She turned and walked away and just as I straightened the other two slammed me back into my locker before hurrying up to catch up with Vi, leaving me wincing in pain. ************************ When I entered my room, I felt something was off. Normally my living space was my sanctuary and regardless of how little time I have spent in the school. I knew this place was mine and I have interwoven it’s energy with mine and somehow it was feeling tampered with. I had to be down at dinner in less than an hour and I needed to have my bathe so I ignored my internal alarm and took off my clothes and went to the bathroom. Under the shower spray, I started hearing noises coming from the room but I ignored them after all I was the only one staying in the room and so after I was done taking my bath, I walked out of the bathroom only to walk into my room and while I sat in front of the vanity drying my hair, it was pure luck, I saw out of the corner of my eyes what was coming straight for me. I shifted away from it immediately, falling to the ground and bruising my hand as I quickly turned to the mirror where the huge fanged snake had collided with the mirror and it broke. As the snake hissed angrily, I knew at once it would turn around and attack me. I scrambled quickly to my feet and cast a shield over myself, one of the few magic I was taught to wield by my protective father. And it appeared not a second later because the snake was extremely fast, it hit the shield and the shield wavered. Nobody told me that I needed to get out of there as fast as I could. I opened the door of my room, keeping an eye on the snake that seems to be getting more aggressive by the second. The door opened and I fell to the floor as I scrambled away from the snake with my eyes still locked on it and I watched as it reached the door and it dematerialized like it was returned where it was carried from. I was still breathing hard and looking at the place where the snake was last seen when loud laughter broke out. I turned to observe my hallway to see a lot of guys and girls alike pointing at me and laughing, some were videoing and that was when I realized that I was n***d. I couldn’t bring myself to enter the room that I was just chased out of with a snake, neither could I stand up nor move, especially since I don’t have any friends. I drew my knees to my chest and wrapped my arms around my legs as tears burned in my eyes. The crass statements had started but thankfully some girls had pity on it and they placed a blanket over me while one pressed joggers and sweats into my hands. “Thank you.” I whispered to the kind girl and with the blanket around me, I stood quickly to flee and I realized that the soul sisters were watching me with glee in their eyes. Vi waved and winked at me. that just meant that she was responsible for the rumors that were circulating and apparently she would be responsible for this one too and here I was without clothes. And it would start circulating at time soon so everybody would see me without my clothes. I felt the bile rise in my throat and I was going to be sick.
