Ryker
We were all relaxing in the green room after the show before heading back to the hotel. Well, everyone except Alena and I, we were staying here a little longer.
“Shall we all head back?” Natalie smiled.
Everyone nodding. Alena went to stand too, but I stopped her. She turned to be, looking confused.
“We aren’t going back just yet, we are staying here,” I smiled.
“Why?” She asked.
“For your surprise, my love,” I said, kissing her.
Alena looked even more confused now. I chuckled, and everyone said goodbye to us, heading out. I got up from the sofa, offering her my hand. She took it, and I pulled her up and pulled her close to me, kissing her. She moaned into my lips, and I pulled away.
“Come on gorgeous,” I said, wrapping my arm around her.
“Where are we going?” She asked.
“You will find out in a moment,” I laughed.
Alena playfully rolled her eyes at me, and I led us through to where her surprise was.
“Close your eyes, and no peeking,” I said, firmly.
“Yes, Sir,” She snickered and did as I asked.
I put my hands over her eyes so that she couldn’t peek. I led her to the stage. I had a blanket set up for us, with champagne, strawberries and some other snacks. There was music playing, the lights dimmed and candles on the stage. The staff that worked at the arena set it up for me, which I was very thankful for.
I led us over to the blanket, removed my hand from her eyes, and told her to open her eyes. I moved to stand at the side of her. Her eyes went wide, and the biggest smile appeared on her lips.
“Oh wow, this is beautiful,” She gushed, turning to me.
“I told you it would be worth it, my love,” I said, kissing her.
I have turned into some romantic guy since Alena. I didn’t know I had that in me, then again, I didn’t think I had a lot of things in me until her.
“And it was,” She cooed.
We sat down on the blanket, and I poured us both a glass of champagne. I looked out. It was strange seeing the arena empty. But I felt at complete peace sitting here.
“I still don't know how you can be up in front of thousands of people, it is incredible,” Alena said, “I would freak out, and then probably pass out,” She added laughing.
“It is my safe place, well one, the other is next to you,” I smiled.
“I love you, Ryker, and I will always be your safe place, my love,” She smiled, kissing me softly.
How did I get so lucky? I honestly don’t know. I smiled into her lips. She was such an incredible human being with the purest heart. Once we pulled apart, she moved in closer, snuggling into me.
“I love you too,” I said, slipping my arm around her.
I thought I would be nervous tonight, but I wasn’t. I was feeling relaxed. I think I may have got the freaking out, out of my system earlier. I can only hope all of this doesn’t end wrongly, and that I will not have pushed too far, too soon.

Alena and I have spent the last couple of hours drinking champagne, eating, stealing kisses and messing around. At the present moment, Alena was standing at the front of the stage, singing terribly into the microphone and laughing hysterically as she did. The mic wasn’t on, thankfully. I was sitting on the blanket, watching her and laughing too.
She seemed to be having fun, so I left her to it. I think she should stick to photography. My girl has many talents, but singing isn’t one of them. While she was distracted, it was the perfect opportunity to do what I set all of this up for. I feel the nerves beginning to creep back up. I grabbed my glass of champagne, downing the full drink. I took a few deep breaths, slipping my hand into my pocket to make sure it was still there.
This was it! The moment that can change everything, either for the best or not. I got to my feet, going over to her, and slipping my arms around her from behind. I nuzzled her neck.
“I have something for you, close your eyes and turn around when I tell you,” I said.
“You didn’t have to get my anything, tonight has been perfect,” She said.
“I know, but I wanted too,” I said.
“OK,” She said, smiling over her shoulder at me.
Alena closed her eyes over. I steadied my shaking hands and pulled away from her. I got into position behind her. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I took one last deep breath.
“Turn around, and open your eyes,” I stammered out.
Alena turned around, and there I was down on one knee with a ring in my hand. Her face evident with shock, telling me she wasn’t expecting me to do this.
“Oh My God,” She stammered out.
“Alena, you have changed my entire life. You are everything I didn’t know I needed or wanted, but now I couldn’t imagine a day without you. You have become my entire world. Before you I didn’t trust anyone, I believed I would never fall in love because I didn’t think I deserved it,” I said, and paused.
I needed a moment to breathe.
“I know we haven’t been together that long, but I have known from the moment I told you that I loved you, you were it for me. You were the one for me. I don’t ever want to kiss, love, marry or touch anyone else, only you. Alena, will you do me the honour and become my wife. Will you marry me, beautiful?” I added, finally finishing.
“YES!’ She squealed, “A million times yes,” She added, the tears running down her cheeks.
My entire body relaxed when she spoke those words. I smiled brightly and slipped the ring onto her finger before getting to my feet. The moment I did, she jumped on me, and luckily I caught her. Alena’s arms wrapped tightly around my neck and her legs around my body.
“I love you so much, Ryker,” She said between kisses, “And I can’t wait to be your wife,” She added.
“I love you too, sweetheart, more than you will ever know,” I said, “I was nervous you were going to say no,” I added, honestly.
“Why would you think I would say no?” She asked, resting her forehead to mine.
“Because we haven’t been together that long, and I know the life I live can be hard, especially with me always so busy,” I said.
“I would never have said no to you, baby boy,” She said, “And I know how hectic your life can be, and I will be right by your side as much as I can,” She added.
“Alena, you have just made the happiest man in the world,” I said, pulling her tightly into my chest.
“I can’t wait to marry you, Ryker,” She said, nuzzling my neck.
I was engaged! Engaged! I didn’t think I would ever see the day, but now I don’t want anything else in the world. Knowing that Alena will one day be my wife, and the mother to my children is enough to make me happy for the rest of my life.
“Alena King, I like the sound of that,” I smiled.
“Me too!” She gushed, kissing me.
Tonight has been perfect! And I can’t wait to share our news with the world, but that can wait. Tonight all I want is Alena and me.
