Chapter Sixteen - You will have to wait and find out

1383 Words
Alena    I woke, and the moment I did, I went to reach for Ryker, but he wasn’t there. I quickly sat up, looking around for him.    “Ryker,” I called out.    No answer. I went into panic mood. I was scared in case he sneaked out during the night or something. I know he was hurting more than he was letting on. I just hope that he hasn’t gone out and found something to stop him from hurting. I grabbed my phone, going to call him, but I see a text from him.    Good morning, beautiful. I know you were worried when you woke up and I was not there, but there is no need to be. I had to go and do something, but I can’t tell you what. It is a surprise  I will be back soon. I promise. I love you X    I instantly relaxed after reading it. Ryker was up to something, and I wouldn’t find out until he was ready to show me because he will not give into me. I sent him a quick text back.    Good morning, handsome. Yes, I did worry, as long as I know you are alright. See you when you get back. I love you too X    It was still early, but I decided to get up anyway because we had a busy day again. I went to grab a shower and get ready before Ryker got back. Maybe we can sneak out for breakfast or something before the work begins. It was a lovely day, so I pulled on one of my summer dresses and flats. I made myself a coffee, and went to the balcony, enjoying Paris. I was going to miss this place. I wish I had more time to see it, but that will happen one day. It was beautiful.      I will never forget this tour for as long as I live. I will forever be grateful for it. If I never got this job, then I would be with Ryker. I wouldn’t truly be in love for the first time in my life, and I wouldn’t see the world. I was one lucky girl, that was for sure. It still all feels like a dream sometimes. I couldn’t help but smile to myself.    “Hey, daydreamer,” I hear from behind me, pulling me out of thought.    “Hey, my love, did you get what you needed?” I asked, looking over my shoulder at him.    Ryker came over, slipping his arms around me from behind and kissed my shoulders.    “I did, yes,” He smiled.    “Are you going to tell me what you needed to get?” I giggled.    He turned me around to face him and pressed his lips softly to mine.    “Nope! You will find out, later,” He smiled, “But, nice try though,” He added, laughing.    “It was worth a try,” I snickered, slipping my arms around his neck, “You OK, baby?” I added.    “I am doing alright, beautiful,” He said, kissing me, “Now, since you are ready, do you want to sneak out from breakfast before anyone else wakes up?” He added.    “I was thinking the same thing,” I smiled.    “Great minds and all,” He winked.    Ryker stole one last kiss, and then we headed out. Everyone would be awake soon. We could get breakfast at the hotel, but it was nice to get out for a bit. Some photographers were outside, but they weren’t acting like crazy people as they do back home. They were a lot nicer.    Ryker held me close, smiling and waving at them. They called out some questions, but Ryker just laughed and smiled. I was still not used to all the cameras, and I don’t think I ever will get used to them. It came with being with someone like Ryker, so just need to deal with them.    They let us be, and we headed in search for somewhere to have breakfast. We ended up at the same place the first day we were here.    “You said you went out to get something, but you didn’t have any bags when you came in?” I asked as we got sat down.    “Just because you didn’t see them, it doesn’t mean, I didn’t have anything,” He said, smirking, “I am not telling you, so stop trying to get it out of me. It is a surprise,” He added, laughing.    “Fine,” I said, rolling my eyes and sticking my tongue out at him.    Ryker laughed, shaking his head and reached over the table, kissing me. I give in anyway. He wasn’t going to tell me what he was up too.    “We will need to do some shopping when we get home,” He said, “My place is, well let’s just say you can tell I was single,” He added, laughing.    “Does that mean I can put a woman’s touch into your house?” I spoke.    “Our house, not mine, and yes, that would be good,” He said.    “Yes, sorry, our house,” I smiled, “Are you one hundred per cent that you want me to move in?” I added.    I know he asked, but I don’t want him to think he needed to for some reason. I don’t want him to feel any pressure on him.    “Come here,” He said firmly.    I got to my feet and went around to where he was sitting, and he pulled me sideways onto his lap.    “That is enough of that nonsense, Miss Alena,” He said, “If I weren’t sure I wouldn’t have asked,” He added.    “I know, sorry,” I pouted, “Do you forgive me,” I added, pecking his lips.    “Not yet,” He smirked.    “What about now?” I said, pressing my lips a little harder to his.    “Mmm, yes, now I do,” He said, smiling into my lips.    I laughed, pulling away. We were in a public place. We need to behave.    “Good,” I said.    “So, shopping, when we get home,” He smiled.    “Yes,” I said, pecking his lips once more.    I removed myself from his lap and took my seat. He smiled, taking my hand over the table, and lifting it to his lips, kissing my knuckles.    “I love you, and I can’t wait for when we are staying together,” He smiled.    “I love you too, baby boy,” I said, “And me too,” I added.    He seemed a lot better than what he did yesterday, which I was glad of because I hate seeing him miserable, it breaks my heart.    “We should order, my love, we will need to head back soon,” He said, “And we have a late, busy night, tonight,” He added, winking at me.    “A late-night, why?” I asked curiously.   “You will have to wait and see now, won’t you?” He said smirking.    “Ryker King, what are you up too?” I asked, eyeing him suspiciously.    “I can’t tell you, it is a secret, sweetheart,” He said.    “You are mean,” I said, petting my lip at him.    He didn’t say anything, instead, he rested back in his chair, looking slightly smug. I laughed, shaking my head. I guess I will need to wait and see, won’t I? because he isn’t giving me anything.    “I promise it, it will be worth it,” He said, smiling brightly.    “I believe you, I will drop it,” I said.    It will bug me all day, trying to work out what it is, but I will keep that to myself. I will find out when he is ready for me to find out.
