Chapter 28 Emilie pressed her hands to Seeta’s cheeks, touched the sides of her neck, then her wrists, as if searching for a pulse. But Seeta wasn’t a piece of tech she could figure out just by examining it. She looked at Scout helplessly. “Liam?” Scout asked. “Kinda busy here,” Liam said. “They’re coming out after us.” “Who’s coming out after us?” Scout asked. “I don’t know, but they’re good,” Liam said, his mouth a grim line. “Get everything secured. I’m going to have to do some fancy flying to evade these guys.” Emilie was already pulling Seeta to the back of the ship. Scout remembered where things were from her earlier search of the ship and opened the largest of the cupboards, packing both of the terrified dogs inside.
