Chapter 25 They waited at the end of the shaft for the train sitting at the platform here at the end of the line to fill with passengers. Liam slumped against the wall, eyes closed, but he was by degrees looking better. Scout glanced from his pale face to Geeta’s ashen one and realized he was already nearly looking better than the exhausted ensign. Well, more alert, anyway. His skin was healing, if still an alarming shade of red, but the lack of hair was disturbing. The train rolled closer and they fell back into the shadows.
