The twelve Zodiacs

Sila ang magpipinsan na tumalo at pumuksa kay Dimitris. And because of that, they became the heroes.

Dimitris is a demon, half witch. He is the one who started the war against the zodiacs and witches, which was continued by the demons and ended successfully by the zodiacs.

But because of the tragedy, the well-known heroes were forced to leave their world, kahit na sabihing sila ang mga tagapagligtas sa mga panahong iyon. They still killed the wizard king's children.

They became wanted criminals. Everyone thought that they were the ones who killed Lord Warren's children. And high bounties were placed on their heads.

A story was also told in the book of The 12 Zodiacs. Nakasaad dito ang dahilan kung bakit hindi magkasundo ang daga at pusa sa panahon ngayon.

A long time ago, the time where witches were not yet born in this universe, the god sent a message to everyone. The god announced that a celebration will be held tomorrow for all the zodiac animals.

But the rat told the cat that the celebration will be held the day after tomorrow.

The next day, the cat's sleeping soundly, not minding the disappearance of the animals that went to the celebration already.

They were good friends. That's why no one knew why the rat did that to the cat. Hindi naman kasi iyon nabanggit sa libro, and even authors could't tell the reason why.

This story was also the reason why the two cousins, Leighton and Kyan, were not in good terms since the first time they met. Wala silang ideya kung bakit mainit ang ulo nila sa isa't isa. They just hated each other without any reasons.

They live under the same roof. Pero, hindi iyon naging rason para magkasundo sila at kalimutan ang tungkol sa istorya na kwento ng mga ninuno nila at ng mga taong gumawa ng istoryang iyon. Maybe they are really bound to treat each other like that. Wala nang makapagbubura pa nito.

Kyan's zodiac sign, Rat, is located at his right shoulder and his ability is Teleportation. He can go to different places that he has already seen before. It can also be pictures. As long as he can imagine the place, kayang-kaya niyang puntahan iyon. The only limitation is his imagination, o kung may limitasyon nga ba iyon.

On the other hand, Leighton's zodiac sign, Cat, is located at his right thigh. He can manipulate anything that is around him as long as he wants to. But, he can't really control it completely. He's an idiot, like everyone says.

They have different likes and dislikes, different hobbies and attitudes. These can also be the reasons why they hate each other. They both can't accept each other's differences. Lalo na at pareho pa silang ma-pride na dalawa. Ayaw magpatalo sa isa't isa.

LEIGHTON SAT at his usual seat at the class. He stole glances at the girl he likes – sitting at her spot. The girl that she secretly stalk since the day he knew her.

He really hated women especially his cousin's fan girls. He finds them really annoying and noisy. But she's different, he thought. Yes, average looking girl but still attractive. Yet, the most attracting part was her smile. Her smile looks so innocent and charming.

He really likes her smile that he gets annoyed whenever she smiles at other guys like that. He hates it – a lot. Pero wala naman siyang magagawa kung ngumiti ang dalaga sa iba. She's friendly after all. And also, he doesn't have any right to stop her from smiling to other guys. He's just a nobody.

He planned on introducing himself to her, but backed out. He's just too shy for that. And his cousins will find it really weird, especially the others who knew him as – an arrogant, idiot and Kyan's unattractive cousin.

He changed his mind. He chose to stay quiet and becomes a nobody that he is right now.

Pero may isa pang rason kung bakit ayaw niya magpakilala.

He was a zodiac, and she was human. They can't be together like he wanted. Not to mention, their family's curse.

The Family curse that cannot be cured by their chief leader, Coen, which was a well known doctor from the past.

Maybe they were really destined to stay hidden in this world forever. Act like humans and never reveal to anyone what they really are.

After their class, he went at the back of their building. This was the most peaceful place in their school, the part where Kyan's fan girls are away. So quiet!

The moment that they all lived together, his world was never the same as before. Because as soon as he joined Kyan, his fan girls also came in his life. That's the beginning of his agony.

Curse you, Kyan.

"Alam niyo, naiinis ako sa mga taong lumalapit kay Kyan," a girl's voice caught Leighton's attention.

Leighton opened his eyes from being closed. He listened to the owner of the voice and looked closely to see who it was. It's her, he cannot be mistaken.

It's Ellaine.

"Bakit naman?" Makino, her weird friend asked.

You can't really blame anyone if they call her weird because it is really true. The way Makino looks at everyone, it's scary. It's like she's reading the whole you, watching you carefully like you did something wrong and she saw it, so you must be careful!

Leighton jumped at the nearest tree where he can see them clearer. He used his ability to do that without anyone seeing him – his speed and his inhuman sense of hearing and sight.

He didn't know that he'll see her and her friends here because this is really far from their room.

If you're going to ask where the usual spot students go? Of course. The place where Kyan was, the place where they can see and find their so-called prince.

"Alam kong naiirita si Kyan sa kanila."

Leighton focused on the three girls' conversation. He's not really the type to listen to anyone's conversations but he can't go back now.

It feels like a knife was stabbed at Leighton's heart because of what he heard. He's not an idiot not to know what this was. He's already living for almost a century now. He knew that it's not a simple crush anymore.

The moment Ellaine's mom gave birth to her, he knew Ellaine since then. It may sound weird but that's true. He loved a little girl and still loves that same girl until now. He just limits himself on how far he can go.

But the thing is, Ellaine likes another guy, Leighton thought. Who wouldn't like his cousin anyway? All of the good traits that he wished he could have are all in his cousin.

Leighton sighed.

Using his inhuman power again, he moved on the farthest tree. But he made sure that he can still see them from a far, especially Ellaine.

He watched her like a p*****t stalker and traced every single movement. Her friends, Tricia and Makino, stood up and left the lady alone. He saw Ellaine sighed but the smile on her face didn't vanish at all.

She's looking happily at the sky. No signs of incoming bad weather. Birds are flying freely on the clouds and the sun is looking at them.

Ellaine stood up and fixed her P.E uniform. Leighton stood up from sitting in the tree, thinking that the lady is leaving. Pero nagkamali siya. Aakyat lang pala ito sa taas ng puno na pinagsisilungan niya. A little reckless of her.

Is she stupid or what? There's no need to climb on that tree anyway! Leighton thought while watching the lady carefully – scared of what will happen to her.

And without any warning, Leighton's thought happened. Ellaine stepped on a broken branch causing her to fall. Pero dahil sa gulat at instincts ni Leighton, he used his powers unconsciously.

Damn!

Ellaine's eyes grew wider as she glances at the grass on the ground. She can't really absorb the fact that she's currently floating in the air. She's safe! But what the f**k is wrong with gravity?

Leighton scratched his head in frustration. He's really a f*****g reckless psycho – whatever you will call it!

Sadness and irritations are both visible in Leighton's face.

They become animals whenever they use their powers or whenever an opposite s*x hugs them.

Sometimes, their faces only change. But, there are also times when they transform throughout their whole body. They don't know when will that happen, that's why they need to be careful than ever.

Who wouldn't be scared to see a human's face turns into an animal, right? Everyone will.

"May nangyari ba?" Kyan asked when he got into their room. He looked at Leighton who didn't even bother looking back at him. "Alam mong bawal ipakita ang anyo mo," Kyan reminded him.

Leighton stopped from getting his things and looked at him more annoyed than usual. Hindi naman kasi makaramdam ang pinsan niya na ayaw niyang pag-usapan pa ang kung ano ang nangyari kanina. And if ever, wala naman siyang balak na makipagkwentuhan sa kaniya.

"Alam ko, hindi niya ako nakita at hindi ko sinasadyang tulungan siya!" he said arrogantly and made his way to the exit.

He's already bored in staying at school. And also, because of what happened, he'll just lose his focus on the class. It's better to go home and take some rest.

He doesn't want everyone to know what they are. If that will happen someday, they will have no other choice but to go away and look for another place to stay. Wala naman kasi talaga silang lugar sa mundong ito. Isa lang naman silang halimaw sa paningin ng iba. Everyone will hate them anyway.

Leighton, Kyan and Tyrell live in a forest in district 5. The other zodiacs visit them sometimes when they are bored. They just come here to annoy Leighton.

If ever they live under one roof, they wouldn't know what will happen to their house. They'll just need to fix it every day. That would be a hassle. So, they have decided to live separately.

They only had one reason why they are still attending school when they can just stay at their house or do a job.

The chosen girl.

That girl may not be aware of her powers as of now o kaya naman she chooses to ignore her responsibility. Either way, she's the only answer they needed to help them break the curse.

She is the only key to help the family get out of the curse that they got because of the witches.

She is the only girl that can fight the witches that is already angry at them because of the thing that they didn't even do in the past.

If the witches discovered that they already found the girl, they will kill her. That's why they must move faster than the witches. The zodiacs are already aware that the witches are here on Earth to fight them and they have no plan on running away from them, again.

They will protect this world.

The chosen must know about her ability and she must accept it no matter what. Her powers must be use in good did.

Leighton entered their front yard using the tall fences.

Even though he doesn't want Ellaine to become his lover, he still wanted to become friends with her. Being a friend won't be harmful, anyway. But, he doesn't know how to do that.

He doesn't want Ellaine to get involve in their fight against the witches as well. Kapag nalaman nilang siya ang kahinaan ng isa sa kanila, they'll use any means necessary to erase them. He can't bear seeing Ellaine gets hurt. Malaglag nga lang sa puno, hindi na niya kayang makita. What more kung sasaktan na siya ng mga witches? No one knows what they can do to humans.

That's why he chooses to stare at her and like her secretly.

Once he entered the house... a flying object came fast at Leighton. He's not shock with that anymore because that's normal but he can't still stop the pain it causes him.

"Aray. Ano ba!" He shouted while looking at the guy who threw the table at his head. Paniguradong pasa o bukol na naman ang aabutin niya. Well, it can't be help anyway. His cousins are all brutal in different ways.

"Ano'ng ginagawa mo rito? Oras ng klase ngayon!" Tyrell shouted, Leighton and Kyan's older cousin. He stands as the guardian of the two. Iyon nga lang, isang evil guardian. He also has his shoulder length hair tied up in a ponytail. Dahil na rin siguro sa init ng panahon.

"Ano ba'ng pakialam mo, ha?" Leighton shouted back at his older cousin.

May kung anong bagay na naman na dinampot si Tyrell kaya umiwas na agad si Leighton sa kaniya. This time, it's the door that he's going to throw. Leighton immediately moved away and escaped from the flying door.

"Huwag mo nga ihagis iyan! Sana ikaw ang gumagawa matapos mong sirain. Edi mas maayos sana!" He went out of their house and head to his garden.

Nasa gubat siya rito sa district 5 kaya medyo tago. His cousins thought that the reason why he's in the forest was that he's fighting with different beasts. What they didn't know was that he's just growing some fruits that are a little hard to take care of.

"Malapit na pala itong tumubo," he held the flowers of pineapple and strawberry while speaking to himself.

After watering some of them, he went to the tent where Maersk was living. Hindi na siya makapagpapaalam sa dalaga pero ayos na rin siguro ito.

He went back inside their house just to see his cousin, Kyan. Without knowing the reason, his head started to boil again.

"Alam mo bang hinahanap ka ni Maersk?" Kyan teased.

Leighton threw the nearest chair at Kyan causing him to spit the noodles that he's eating.

"Huwag mo akong inaasar!" Leighton shouted, really pissed off because of his f*****g cousin.

Madalas na itong nagiging pang-asar sa kaniya pero hindi pa rin siya masanay. He doesn't know why he gets pissed off just because of his cousin especially when the topic is about Ellaine.

Alam naman niyang pinagt-tripan lang siya ng mga ito but he just can't stop himself from getting angry. Nature na nga niya siguro ang pagiging mainitin ang ulo.

He heard Tyrell's annoying laugh as if he's trying to piss his cousin more. Leighton wanted to break everything that he can see but he just can't. He'll just fix them all afterwards.

He entered his room and ignored them all.

If he'll continue fighting his cousins, he'll just get more and more pissed off. He punched his bed out of anger and closed his eyes to calm himself a little.

Umiinit pa rin talaga ang ulo niya kahit na hinahayaan na lang niya ang magpinsan. He doesn't know what to do with them. They are so childish and annoying! He wanted to just disappear and never see his cousins again.

If he can, he'll just kick them all out of the house. It's impossible though. This house is not even his to begin with.

Sana naman magkaroon ng mabait sa pamamahay na ito. Leighton thought as he went to sleep and ignore the world once again.
