Paxton's POV
I watch the pack training themselves. No Alpha and No Beta in sight. And apparently they went to human land all of a sudden. Arnold said that they might be away for a while. I wonder what it might be that she didn't want Arnold to tag along either.
Even Arnold is now training with everyone else. I can do it as well, but I just don't want to show off and come across as the person who can defeat their Alpha.
A girl who might be around twenty, comes to me and offers me some warm tea in a paper cup and I accept it with a smile on my face. Her face turned red as she ran away and I chuckled at that.
Not going to lie, but this pack really has attractive girls. So even if Samika chooses me at the end of the day, Devon will have so many choices. Oh he even has Melissa for him. Goddamn.
The amount of training these people go through every single day is kind of alarming. Maybe I should go through the planning once again before I strike it. If my supposed army is to beat these people, then I bet this pack's army will finish us in a matter of minutes. I need more. I need to prepare more.
Arnold eventually walks towards me and crashes on the rock that's safe to sit on. And he still hasn't stopped glaring at me every chance that he got. As much as it is annoying me, I am happy that he is being a better Beta to Samika than Devon is. But then again, he is an Alpha blooded heir so obviously he wouldn't be good as a beta. But the fact that he is ready to do all of that for Samika is making me want to punch him. How is he good at this? And why am I still struggling to get her attention.?
"Don't," Arnold whispers and the way he is slightly breathing out loud is giving away that he did reach his physical limit for today. One more punch and he will have a tough time running behind the person who actually punched him.
"What?" I ask him and he takes a moment to breathe a little more. And the girl hands him a warm cup of tea as well. But somehow he got more than me. Maybe I should try winking at the girl from tomorrow. It could prompt her into giving me more tea.
"Whatever you are planning," he says and takes a sip of his tea,"don't"
I chuckle as I shake my head and get on my feet. I usually would love to have a banter with Arnold but today I really want to explore this place and see what these people are actually capable of. Like I said, if I strike, I strike harder. For that I should be more observant.
I took random turns and I accidentally landed up at the entrance of the cells. The security system is heavy here unlike the trailers where Devon hid John. I wonder where John is. I haven't heard from him in a while.
Just when I was about to leave, my wolf ears somehow caught sounds from inside. Someone banging the door. And someone is screaming for them to be let out.
And boy oh boy, it's John Adams! Now that is something very useful especially now that Samika and Devon are not here.
