Ace's good and bad memories of the past

‘Ace…Ace, son, where are you?’ Nora’s voice echoed in Ace’s ears.

Ace opened his eyes and looked around. He found himself in the garden of the pack. Before Ace could move from his place, someone hit him on the back from behind.

“Brother Ace! I caught you!! You lost, I won.” A cute girl's voice came from behind him.

Ace looked back. A little girl was jumping and clapping very cheerfully. Seeing her small lovely face, burgundy curly hair tied in two bony tails, pink thin lips with grey eyes Ace recognized her. She was his younger sister Bella. Who was six years younger than him.

With this, Ace realized that he had come to the memory of that very day. The day the biggest tragedy of his life happened. At that time he was just an eleven-year-old boy. Who along with Abby and Gabby took care of his younger brother Carson-Deva and younger sister Bella. Because his Mom and both fathers were busy doing pack duty.

“Bella! Bella!” Another boy who was a smaller copy of Ace came there. There was a purple colored flower in her hand.

“Bella, take this. I have found a flower for you.” The boy said while handing over the flowers to Bela.

“Thank you, brother Carson. This is very beautiful. But how did you find it? It was on a big hill.” Bella asked, blinking her big gray eyes.

"What? High hill? Carson, did you go to the hill?” Ace asked in surprise. Ace noticed that there was a lot of mud on Carson's clothes.

Carson laughed nervously at Ace's questions and quickly hid his mud-stained hands behind his back. But he did not know that his elder brother Ace had already seen his hands.

“Carson, I asked you something. Did you go to the high hill?” Ace asked in a serious tone.

“Yes, brother… Bella wanted some flowers for her birthday gift for Mom. That's why I….” Carson said nervously.

“It's wrong to go up that hill alone, Carson. What if something happens to you? How much trouble would Mom, Dad and Daddy be in if they came to know about this?” Ace one eyebrow got annoyed.

“Brother, please… Don't tell mom-dad-daddy. They will get angry at me. And look, I am absolutely fine. Nothing has happened to me. There is just a little bit of mud on it. But I'll just go home and clean it quickly before anyone notices.” Carson plays guilty as soon as he hears Ace's words.

Ace was just about to say something else when Bella held Ace's hand and shook it. Seeing the innocent baby face of little Bella, Ace forgot his anger.

“Brother Ace, don't be angry at Carson. He made a mistake. Please, please forgive him.” Bella said in a cute voice.

“But Bella….” Ace tries to be reasonable.

“If you get angry at Carson, I will feel like crying. Because my brother Carson went there because of me.” Bella said in a sad voice. In the blink of an eye, her gray eyes filled with water.

"No. Bella, don't cry- don’t cry. Brother Ace will not punish me. Right brother Ace?” Carson quickly started rubbing Bella's back and calming her down. He looked at Ace with apologies in his eyes.

Ace felt good seeing the love between his sister and brother.

"Ok. This time, I won't tell Mom. But promise that you will not go to the hill or near the waterfall alone. That place is dangerous. There…" Ace is about to say more but he smells a familiar scent get close. He just smiled softly.

“There are ferocious rogues along with wild animals who eat children.” Abby jumped in front of them all of a sudden and said in a scary voice.

“Ahhh!! Brother Ace! Brother Ace, save us.” Bella-Carson screamed loudly and hid behind Ace in fear.

“Ha! You two are so cowards. Just like your big sister Gabby.” Abby said, laughing at them.

“Don't be afraid, Bella-Carson. This is Abby, your elder sister.” Ace told the two children hiding behind him.

Carson peeked and saw Abby. Then as soon as he was confident, he came out from behind Ace with Bella.

“Hey, sister Abby! It's really you.” Carson laughs awkwardly.

“Sister Abby, why did you scare us?” Bella pouted her lips.

"But I'm not scared. I was just protecting Bella from behind.” Carson said quickly.

Abby and Ace looked at each other and smiled.

"Good. So you're not scared?" Abby asked with a curious face.

“Not at all. I am a strong boy. Just like my brother Ace.” Carson said with confidence.

"Is good. If you want to be like Brother Ace, you have to work hard.” Abby said with a soft smile.

“I will. Brother Ace is my inspiration. Brother Ace, you will train me, right? Like you give training to Deva?” Carson raised his head and looked up to Ace who was twice his height.

“Sure, why not? If you train hard you become stronger.” Ace laughed and patted Carson's head.

"Yes Yes!! Now I will also become strong like Brother Ace.” Carson started dancing with joy.

“Sis Abby… I want to be like you.” Bella holds

Abby bent down and licked Bella's nose lightly and gave her a sweet smile.

Ace just showed his thumb and he started running at high speed. It took him only ten minutes to reach the hill. Because of Ace's powers, he had increased his speed.

“Deva!!” Ace stood on the top of the hill and called out to Deva. But he did not get any reply.

“Deva! Where are you? Answer me!" Ace shouted loudly.
