Chapter 2

Elijah’s POV:
After warning Logan to behave, he just huffed.
“It’s not like I will make a fool of myself over here,” he says lowly to himself, but I heard what he said.
“Yea right. Else Zia will see you for the actual i***t you are.” I say and laugh at him.
“HEY!!! I am not an i***t!! Don’t be mean to your best friend!!” he says and punches my forearm.
“Ok whatever, just stay within limits. You know how possessive we brothers are for our sisters, if by any chance you make Zia uncomfortable, I will kick you out of here and you won’t be coming anywhere near her. Understand?” I say warning Logan.
“Yes boss, I understand. I will not do anything that will make Zia uncomfortable,” he says, I just nod at him.
“But that doesn’t mean I will not try speaking to her!!” he says and runs inside the house. I wanted to go after him and order him to stay away from Zia, but he was already out of my view.
Sometimes I still wonder how do people get scared of that guy. In front of me he is just like a horny teenager and act like one stupid person. But he surly does his job properly, perfectly and smoothly. He may be a hard and cold looking person from the outside, who terrifies people, but inside he is an annoying kid!!
Pushing the thoughts behind my head I enter the Martino mansion.
When I entered, I found the girls, Aeri, Sara, Samara and Zia, talking to Logan. Logan was trying to impress the girls by his sweet talks, again. I shake my head and go towards them.
“I hope he is not filling your heads with nonsense,” I say to the girls as I walk towards them.
“Elijah!! You are here!!” Aeri says and comes towards me and then hugs me.
“Yes princess, how can I miss coming here?” I say to her.
“Thank god brother you came!! I was thinking you would not show up,” Zia says and gives be a side hug. I could see how Logan was looking at Zia hugging me. He was wishing that she would hug him.
‘Too bad buddy. You have to earn, to get any kind of such attention from Zia’ my subconscious mocked.
“So, did Logan annoy you?” I ask again to all the girls but looking at Zia. I could see that she blushed a little when I asked about Logan.
“No Elijah, he was talking about going to the beach house for the New Year celebration,” Sara says winking at Aeri, for which Aeri just giggles.
“WHAT!!? Elijah no, I didn’t say any such thing!!” Logan screams in horror. My little devil sisters just laugh at his reaction.
“Sara, stop teasing Logan.” Zia says to Sara between her laughs. Then she turns towards me.
“Elijah, Logan didn’t speak anything about celebrating the New Year at any beach house. It’s just Aeri was speaking about spending the holiday at the beach house. In fact, Logan was offering to take us girls for shopping. Right girls,” Zia explains and then mischievously says about shopping. Logan looked confused.
“YEA!!” rest of the girls’ shout.
“Is it? then you guys can take him with you guys anytime you want,” I say and laugh. All the girls jump in gee while Logan looked horrified. I knew that he didn’t like shopping, and I also knew that Zia was bluffing, I just wanted to annoy Logan a little.
After speaking for sometimes with the girls they left to the kitchen to get some snacks, living me and Logan in the living room.
“Elijah, they are lying!! I didn’t say that I would accompany them for shopping!!” Logan says to me.
“You should have said that when they were here. Now you have to go with them,” I say to him and laugh lightly.
“It’s not fair!! Zia caught me off guard!!” He whines like a kid.
“Well you can think it as a shopping date with her,” I suggest him.
“Yea, a shopping date with three annoying minions together,” he says huffing in annoyance.
“Well, something is better than nothing,” I say winking at him.
“Whatever,” he says and sits on the couch.
“Elijah, when did you reach,” Uncle Vincent asked me as he entered the living room.
“Just now Uncle Vincent,” I answer to him.
“Good, dad, Victor and I are having tea, you can join us if you want. Even you Logan,” Uncle Vincent offers us.
“We would love to Uncle Vincent,” I say to him.
He then leads us to the drawing room where Grandpa Antonio was reading some book while Uncle Victor was reading some files. When we entered, Grandpa Antonio looked up and smiled at us.
“Elijah. So good to see you,” Grandpa Antonio says and patted my back.
“Good to see you too Grandpa Antonio. “ I greet grandpa. Then I greet uncle Victor who gave me a side hug and patted my back.
We were speaking about some stuffs, when Lorenzo entered the drawing room. I completely forgot that I had seen him near the Martino mansion gate, almost Half an hour ago. Was he outside the mansion gate till now? Looking at him I could say he was bothered by something, he looked cold and angry.
“Good evening Grandpa, Dad and uncle Vincent,” Lorenzo greets Grandpa Antonio, Uncle Vincent and Uncle Victor.
“Good evening son. Is there any problem? You look tensed,” Grandpa Antonio says keeping his book aside.
“Yes Grandpa, I have to talk about something with everybody. Is everyone home today?” Lorenzo asks. He seemed serious about whatever he had to talk about. But what did he have to talk about?
“Yes Lorenzo, everybody is at home today, your Mom, grandma and Alistin are probably in the garden. Stefan, Steven and Zion are in the theatre. Aeri, Zia, Sara and Samara just went to the kitchen I suppose,” Uncle Victor says.
“Can you ask all of them to come here immediately, it’s urgent.” Lorenzo says.
“I will say the maid to call them,” Grandpa Antonio says and asks some maid to call Stefan, Steven and Zion. When he was about to instruct to call Zia, Aeri, Sara and Samara, they themselves were passing from the drawing room.
“Aeri, Zia, Samar and Sara, please come here. Lorenzo has something to speak about,” Uncle Vincent says, calling the girls inside the drawing room. They seemed confused, but still obeyed and sat at near the coffee table.
After some time, the boys came inside. Uncle Victor instructed them to take their seats, and the boys did the same. Soon Grandma Celestin, Aunt Al and Aunt Lara entered. They sat on the couch near the window.
“Lorenzo, now that everybody is here, say what you have to speak about,” Grandpa Antonio says to Lorenzo.
“Let’s wait for Valerio grandpa. He is the most needed here for me right now,” Lorenzo says, without letting out any emotions.
What has gotten into him? He doesn’t seem like the easy and fun Lorenzo I know. He seems… cold?
But why?
“Elijah, I will be outside,” Logan whispers to me.
“Yea, that’s better. I will meet you after whatever Lorenzo has to speak about.” I say to Logan. He nods and goes out of the drawing room.
After Logan left the drawing room, I go to Lorenzo and try to ask him what the matter is about.
“Renzi. What is the matter? You look tensed. Is everything alright brother?” I ask Lorenzo softly, making sure he doesn’t snap at me. He looks at me, presses his lips tightly together and then nods his head. I knew better than make him tell me the matter. I sigh knowing he won’t tell a thing until Valerio is here. I go and stand near the piano and quietly stood there waiting for Valerio to arrive.
After some minutes, Valerio arrived. When he entered the Drawing room, he seemed surprised to see everyone in the drawing room. He scanned the whole room, and when his eyes landed on Lorenzo, he was about to ask something.
But Lorenzo cut him off by saying something that shocked everyone present in the room.
“Look, the Monster is here!!” Lorenzo says loudly and chuckles.
What!! Why would Lorenzo say that to Valerio!?

So I have finally started to upload Karma!!
I had first thought about posting 1 chapter daily. But after seeing that there are not much Likes and follows for the story, I felt a little disappointed.
I love you guys and you know it. But seeing that i am not getting much likes or follows, I felt disappointed.
So I will be uploading the next chapter, when I get at least 500 followers.
I know it sounds selfish, but I will need some encouragement to continue writing. i hope you guys understand my thoughts
