Revenge, Regrets And KARMA

Elijah’s POV:   *The day Lorenzo exposed Valerio*   Today I was going to Aunt Al’s house. Every year, for Christmas till the new year Sara, Samara and I stay at Aunt Al’s house. Aunt Al or Aunt Alistin is my mother, Alison’s twin sister. They both were really close to each other. They were the sister goals. They were close friends. After marriage, Aunt Lara joined the gang, and the three would always meet up every day. Sometimes Mom used to stay at Martino mansion for months. It was like her second house. They always made sure that Valerio, Lorenzo, Zion, Steven, Stefan, Zia, Sara, Samara, Aeri and I were close to each other, and they are successful. Even if we are cousins, are bond me much stronger. Every year, they made it a habit for us, of spending the holidays or weekends is each other’s houses. Sometimes, we would spend the holidays in Martino mansion, sometimes we spend the holidays at my grandparent’s house, sometimes at Aunt Lara’s parent’s house, or sometimes at our old mansion. I was a unwritten rule to spend the Christmas at Martino mansion. This year Sara and Samara had gone for Christmas as usual and were staying there till the New Year. I wanted to go for Christmas itself, but I had to handle some issues at the shipment area. Some of my valuable imports and some exports were going missing. Someone from the inside was steeling my things just below my nose!! There is no way an outsider would do it. stealing from me is not that easy. It has to be a insider!! The stolen goods did not cause any loss for my business, but just because it did not cause any severe damages to my business, does not mean that I will let it pass. It does not mean that I will let the dishonesty and unloyalty be in my business. I provide everything to all the people that work under me. For everything I give them, I do not demand a penny from them. All I ask them in return is respect, honesty and loyalty. And the person who is steeling my belongings, from right under my nose, will be punished!! After some investigation I found out that, the shipment in charge, Mr. Lobos, was the person who was actually stealing things from me. I was extremely pissed and angry. I had appointed him thinking he would be a trustworthy person. But he proven me wrong. My men found everything he, Mr. Lobos, had stolen from me. And as his punishment, I took all of his priced positions. But I did not fire him. I just demoted him and asked my men to take him to my Coal Mining field in China. However, finding labour for mining jobs are difficult, as everyone is afraid to go deep inside the earth and also the number of deaths that occur during mining is too high. So, I sent him to China to work at my Coal Mining field. So, because of this issue, I couldn’t be there at Aunt Al’s house for the Christmas.   I was happy that I was able to finish all the important work and did not have to worry about anything going wrong at work. I was also looking forward to meeting Vasilisa. I had asked Logan to get some basic information about her after the Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Al’s house, where I has met her the last time. He had collected all the necessary information in just one day. In the information he had collected, everything basic about Vasilisa was mentioned. Like her age, her hometown, all the jobs she had done till now, her relationship status, everything was there in the information. In the information Logan had collected, it said that Valerio had brought the company in which Vasilisa was working earlier and since he needed a new personal assistant, he hired her. The information also had how Vasilisa had met Aunt Al and Aeri at the church and about her activities and voluntary work to help the church orphanage. I was feeling proud reading the information. She had a beautiful heart as well. But the thing that made me happy from the information collected by Logan is that, it said Vasilisa was single and was never in any relationship. That meant she didn’t have any other person in her heart other than her family. If she accepts to give me a chance, to be in a relationship with me, then I would be her very first lover. The thought of being her first love was too beautiful. It makes me feel something I have never felt. She surly will be my greatest weakness!! But she can also be my greatest strength!! I hope she will be there. I drove to Aunt Al’s house with Logan with me. When I reached near the Martino mansion gate, I found Lorenzo’s car parked outside the gate. He had his phone near his hears, he was just staring blankly at the steering wheel. Maybe he was speaking about some important business. I think it better to talk to him after we are inside the mansion. Thinking like that, I drove the car inside the mansion gate. After parking the car, I turned towards Logan. “Logan, please don’t act or do anything stupid. Ok” I say warning Logan. I initially didn’t have any plans of getting him with me. But as soon as I said I would be going to the Martino mansion, he ran and got inside the car. You may be wondering why he would be acting like that. Let me tell you, he has been crushing in Zia for almost four years now. I have told him many times about just asking her out, but he just says he can’t do that, and he does have a valid reason to say he can’t ask her out. He just says that it would only get her life in more danger. He knows that if any of our enemies find out, we like or love someone, they will use that against us. The same thing happened with dad, and he completely lose the only person he loved the most. My mom. That’s the reason why I am worried to approach Vasilisa and ask her to date me. What if someone tries to harm her? ‘Then I will make the person’s life a living hell!!’ my subconscious answered.
