Elijah's POV:
What!! Why would Lorenzo say that to Valerio!?
“Lorenzo!! Is this the way to greet your brother!!?” Aunt Lara shouts at him. He just chuckles bitterly. Something is completely wrong here!!
“Brother!? He is no brother of mine!! I would die than having a brother like HIM!!” he screams bitterly.
What Lorenzo just said left everyone in complete shock. His words were filled with bitterness.
“LORENZO!! Behave!! If you have called us all here, just to see your traumas, then excuse us, we are busy!!” Grandpa shouts at Lorenzo.
“I am sorry grandpa, but please stay. I have to tell you something. Something that I should have told you guys a long back,” Lorenzo apologies to grandpa and then says looking at everybody.
A few seconds after Lorenzo said that, I could see that Valerio was becoming pale. I understood that whatever Lorenzo had to say will not be a pleasant thing to hear.
But what could be so worst that Valerio himself was so afraid of?
“What are you speaking about Lorenzo?” Grandma asks. She looked confused. Everyone looked confused!! I was confused!!
“Lorenzo, please don’t,” Valerio starts pleading to Lorenzo. But Lorenzo just glared at him, eyes filled with hatred.
What could the matter be that made Lorenzo hate Valerio so much. Could it be that big of a matter?
But what I heard next made all my senses alert.
“PLEASE DON’T!? Did you listen to those exact words when Vasilisa had told them to YOU!?” Lorenzo screams. What is Lorenzo talking about?
What does Vasilisa have to do with any of the stuffs related to this matter?
When I turned towards Valerio, I could see that he was shivering a bit. Has he done something bad to Vasilisa?
“Wh…What do you mean Lorenzo?” Aunt Al asks Lorenzo. She was completely shocked after hearing Lorenzo, just like I was.
“Aunt Al, the things I am going to say will be hard for you to believe or even listen. But I just want you to be strong and listen to me. I want all of you to be strong!!” Lorenzo says to Aunt Al, and then to everybody.
I was desperate to listen to what Lorenzo had to say. If it is related to Vasilisa, it is the most importing thing for me!
“Lorenzo!! Please let me speak once!! Please let me explain things once!! Please!!” Valerio begs to Lorenzo; I could see the fear in Valerio’s eyes.
“DID YOU LET VASILISA EXPLAIN HERSELF!! NO!! THEN HOW CAN YOU ASK FOR A CHANCE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!?” Lorenzo shouts.
“What are you guys talking about!? Lorenzo, what didn’t Valerio let Vasilisa explain?” Aunt Lara asks. Lorenzo just groans. He takes a deep breath, like he is mentally preparing himself to do something, and then answers.
“This monster r***d Vasilisa” he stated, audible enough for everyone to here. I was horrified hearing him. Everyone was horrified hearing that. My blood ran cold!!
Valerio r***d Vasilisa!!?
NO!!
That can’t happen!!
Valerio can’t do such a horrible thing to Vasilisa!!
He can’t do such a thing to MY QUEEN!!
I look at Valerio, hopping he would say that it was nothing but a lie. But all I could see was shame on his face, making it crystal clear that whatever Lorenzo was telling was nothing but the truth.
I wanted to kill him!!
I want to kill this f*****g VALERIO FOR HURTING ME QUEEN!!
“NO!! You are lying!! My son would never do that!! Lorenzo please don’t lie about such things!!” Aunt Al screams at Lorenzo. At the same time Aunt Lara slaps Lorenzo.
Even I wished it was a lie, but Valerio face, his expression said it all. What Lorenzo just told was not a lie. It was the complete truth.
“LORENZO!! How could you say such lies about your own BROTHER!!” Aunt Lara shouts at Lorenzo. I could see Lorenzo’s face go red. He was getting angrier.
“HE IS NOT MY BROTHER!! I ALREADY HATE SHARING THE SAME BLOOD AS HIS!! AND I AM NOT LYING!! IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE ME, ASK THIS MONSTER ITSELF!!” Lorenzo screams at everyone, glaring at Valerio.
“Valerio, son. Is Lorenzo saying the truth?” Uncle Vincent asks Valerio in a hopeful tone.
Even if I understood that what Lorenzo just told was the truth, somewhere in my heart I was wishing for Valerio to tell it is not true. That he didn’t hurt my Vasilisa!!
But Valerio’s Answer boiled my blood. I was furious!!
“Yes” He answered softly. Hearing his answer, Uncle Vincent slapped Valerio. I wanted to kill that bloody fucker!!
“HOW COULD YOU DO THAT!!?” Uncle Vincent shouts at Valerio.
“Yo…You ra…raped…. Vas… Vasilisa?” Aunt Al asks softly, disbelief was clear in her face. Valerio nods his head slowly. She who was standing from the time when Lorenzo told the truth, now slowly fell on the ground.
“MOM!!!” Aeri, Zia and Zion scream together. They rush towards Aunt AL.
“Please tell me this is some kind of bad prank!! Please!!” Aunt Al begged to Valerio and Lorenzo.
“I wish Aunt Al; I wish it was a joke. But it is not. It is nothing but truth. A bitter truth. Also, he didn’t r**e her only once, but multiple time!! He has r***d her from the moment he had met her!! He destroyed her whole life!!” Lorenzo says to everyone.
I was shaking in furry!! I couldn’t not believe that Valerio, with whom I had spend more than half of my life would committee such an horrible act of r**e, that too on MY QUEEN!!
“Why? WHY DID YOU DO IT!!? WHY!!?” Aeri shouts looking at Valerio. She looked disgusted. I was disgusted to look at him also.
“I…. I ….” The bastard tries to say something, but he doesn’t have anything to speak. I wish I could kill him!!
“What is he going to say!? I will tell you!! He did that only because of a small misunderstanding!! He did that because he was a fool!!” Lorenzo says.
Then Lorenzo tells us the whole story from the start. He tells us how Valerio had first accused Vasilisa and how he r***d her, then when Vasilisa tried to file a complaint against Valerio, how easily Valerio had put her into jail, accusing her of something she didn’t do. Lorenzo even told how he blackmailed Vasilisa to work as his Personal Assistant while threatening to harm her parents. Valerio also told how Valerio had insulted Vasilisa in front of the whole office, Valerio also told how Valerio made Vasilisa’s parents go against her, Valerio also told how Lilian fooled Valerio, pretending to be Vasilisa. And that was the sole reason for Valerio to hurt Vasilisa.
I knew something was wrong. Vasilisa’s beautiful eyes always told me that she was in pain. From the first time I met her, I saw the pain in her eyes. I should have understood that somebody was hurting her!!
I was furious at this f*****g Valerio!!
If only I would have known these things before. I would have saved Vasilisa and make Valerio and Lilian pay for everything.
‘Its not late to make them pay’ My subconscious said.
“I… I… am sorry,” Valerio said softly.
He had the bloody audacity to say he was sorry after doing all the damages!!
“Renzi…. When did you come to know,” Aeri asks softly. Lorenzo just sighs.
“A long back. I came to know about it long back. I SHOULD HAVE TOLD THAT TIME ITSELF!!” Lorenzo says, screaming the last part.
“Why didn’t you tell us before!!” Zia shouts at Lorenzo. He closes his eyes, letting his tears fall down.
Yes, why didn’t Lorenzo tell these stuffs before? We would have saved Vasilisa from this monster faster.
“I promised her. I promised Vasilisa that I wouldn’t say it to anyone!! You know, even after he had done so many unthinkable things to her, she never wished any bad for him. Whenever I suggested that we could ask Aeri to tell the truth about who is Li, Vasilisa used to only say one thing. She used to say, ‘I don’t want to spoil any other sibling relationship’ !! Even if this monster took everything away from her, she didn’t wish bad for him!! And for that I am angry on her!!” Lorenzo says and cries.
My dove my too innocent for this world.
No one spoke for some more minutes. The room was filled with soft crying.
“Where is Lisa!!? Lorenzo!! Where is Lisa!! Take me to her!!! It is because of me that she had to go through so many things!! If I had not given birth to such a monster, my innocent Lisa wouldn’t have to go through so many things!! It’s all my FAULT!!” Aunt Al cries out loud.
“Mom… please don’t say that…” Valerio tries to speak to her, but Aunt Al didn’t allow him to complete his sentence.
“DON’T CALL ME ‘MOM’!!! I AM NOT YOUR MOM ANYMORE!!” Aunt Al shouted at Valerio. I know Valerio deserves it, but I was feeling sad for Aunt Al. She was like a mother to me and seeing her like this was hurting me.
“Lorenzo… Where is Vasilisa?” Uncle Victor asks softly. Lorenzo looked sad.
“I don’t know. She didn’t tell me where she will be going,” Lorenzo told softly.
What!!?
Where is Vasilisa!?
“She might have said something!!” Aeri cried hopefully. Lorenzo just sighed and takes out a letter and places it on the table.
“She told she needs to heal and move on. But for to do that she had to leave everything behind. She wanted to leave her past behind. And…. And we all are in that past. She wanted to leave all of us behind. She wants to forget her past. She wants to forget us,” Lorenzo says, a tear rolls down his cheek as he says that. He sighs before continuing,
“And if forgetting her past, forgetting us will heal her and help her move on, I will respect her decision and stay in her past; till she wants me to be in her present,” Lorenzo says and leaves the house.
NO!!
Vasilisa can’t leave!!
I need to find her!!
I will make sure that everyone who had hurt my queen will suffer terribly, even if that was my brother!!
