Are You My Mate?

Chapter 20

  * As we leave work after locking up Dean pulls up causing Nelson to roll his eyes as he lets out a frustrated breath. "If you don't want her, let us have her" he says to an equally as annoyed looking Dean. "She is my mate, my heart" he says as he smiles at me. 

"Prove it" "I proved that last night," "Right baby?" he says as he grabs my hands. "Dean" "Is that all you have to offer her?" asks Nelson. "Like you could do better" "A million times better" he says with his signature smirk. 

"You stay away from her, you freak!" "Deni baby, he might be lying about being gay, just to be close to you," he says as he pulls me into a hug. "Dean he is gay, he just loves me" He looks at me surprised. "He loves me as a friend" I say to correct myself. 

"Stay away from her," "I work with her" "Then I'll get you fired" "She hired me" "Guys please," I say annoyed with their unfriendly banter. 

"Baby I need to talk to you" "You need to talk to your parents" says Nelson. "No one is talking to you freak,'' "Dean please don't call him that" "It's fine Denai, my conscious is clear" he say as he shrugs. Dean tears up and he hugs me.

 "I need your help and understanding baby" "They don't understand what I'm going through, only you do" "Help me to understand because to me it seems like you have one choice but you're too coward to make the right choice"

"You stupid bastard!" says Dean as he throws a punch at Nelson. "Guys!'' I yell as they start throwing fists. "Oh my Goddess Nelson is hot" says Maggie with wide eyes. "Maggie help me," I say as I try to figure out how to separate them. 

"Oh I'm not jumping in there" she says as she slowly shakes her head. "Stop it young men!" barks out Areta surprising me and them as well.

"It was Areta" I say as they looks at me with wide eyes. "You wouldn't listen to me" I say slightly embarrassed by their stares. 

"Will you come with me?" "Just for a little while, because I also need to speak to you" "You are only hurting us both and maybe your Luna as well" He looks at me surprised. "Let's go he says as he grabs my hand.  

"Call us if you need us" says Maggie. "If not, we'll see you at work in a couple of days, unless he feels like he needs to 'talk' again" say Nelson as he glares at Dean who returns his glare. 

We pull up to his house and I look at him terrified. "I'm never going inside of your house again," "She might be here," "Did you bring me here to rub it into my face!" "Is feeling like the laughing stock of our pack not enough?!" "You want to humiliate me even more!" I cry out to him, finally not being able to hold back my hurt and anger.  

"D... Deni baby" "I would never try to intentionally hurt you," "I've just been working on something for us," "I'll show you when you it's finished okay baby,?" he says as he grabs my hand to squeeze it. I nod as I sniffle. 

"Let's go to your house" he whispers as he cranks his car back up. I don't say anything, I just continue to weep as he holds on tightly to my hand.

"Baby, let's get something to eat" "I don't want anything Dean" "Okay we'll order something later'' he says as he lays down next to me in my bed. After hours of laying there with me crying and him rubbing my back I fall asleep. 

When I wake up I turn to see that I'm alone and my heart hurts to know that he couldn't even say goodbye. I look around to see if he left a note but I find nothing. 

I only drag myself out of bed and to the shower and as I get out, I hear my front door open. "Baby, are you awake?!" he yells to me. "Yes, I just got out of the shower," I answer back. "Oh I wish you would have waited on me" he says as he pokes his head in as I step out. 

"I wasn't sure if you were coming back" I say as I dry my hair. "I will always come back to you baby" "My dad is just to proud that I have a Luna and she's not even my Luna" "It hurts not to be able to share my joy with him" "Even if I would have had the choice to choose a Luna, it would have been you" he says as he hugs me. I hug him back and he kisses my forehead.

"I need you to be patient with me Deni" "I will wait for you Dean" "As long as you don't mark her" his eyes get big. "Did you bite her?" "No baby" "But the thing is I was just going to go ahead with the mating ceremony and then when I'm Alpha I will make you my Luna and I will tell everyone the truth about us really being mates" 

"That's your plan?" I ask surprised. "It's all I could come up with on short notice baby" "It's not easy trying to please everyone and then you know my mom, she's pushing it like crazy" "I feel like it would be like a revenge for us when we see the look on their faces when I call you to be my new true Luna" "Because that Luna she chose for me is not as innocent as you think she is" 

"My mom is only looking at the size of her pack" "I will wait for you Dean, just try not to sleep with her" "I will only have to sleep with her one night, but I won't touch her" "You mean you won't touch her anymore" I say as I remember my painful experience. "I can't believe you slept with me after" I say as I push him then I go to my room. 

"Baby I washed her off of me before I slept with you remember?" he says as he follows me close behind. I walk into my closet and he follows me, but I pull on a dress over my towel so that he doesn't see anything. Then I walk to my underwear drawer to pull out a pair of panties. 

"Baby are you trying to torture me?" "No, but I can't have you sleeping with me at the same time as someone else so please don't touch me until you are mine and only mine" I say as I put on lotion. 

He grabs my arms and pulls me to my bed then he lays me back and lays on top of me. "No Dean," I say as I put up my hands to stop him. 

"You... are... my... mate" he says as he stares intensely into my eyes. "Am I?" he raises his eyebrows surprise by my question. "Yes!" The Moon Goddess, put us together and you know it," he says with a smirk. 

"Don't do that" I say as I try to weakly push him. (I can't resist his playful smile) "Don't do what?" he says as he pokes out his lips, then he pecks me all over my face causing me to giggle. "I f*****g love you baby" "Dean!" "I'm sorry" he laughs then he kisses my lips. 

"Will you let me make love to you?" "Come on you know you want to" he says as he playfully pulls at my dress. ''I don't want to, but it's not like you ever listen'' I say as I turn to look at my clock. (I want him just as bad as he wants me but I'm tired of just s*x) 

"The thought of you not wanting me and possibly wanting someone else drives me up the wall!" "I only want you to make love to me, you are the only one that has strayed" "I'm sorry baby, I was frustrated and she took advantage of a weak moment" 

"I will get you something so that it will never hurt you again" "Will you be doing it a lot?" "No baby only the one time out of tradition and I will use protection so it will be as if I am not doing anything" "We've never used protection" "And we never will, because I am your one and only and we are true mates" he says before he kisses me passionately. 

I gasp when he rips my dress and then my panties. "I promise we'll be able to share our love soon, just give me a few weeks a month at the most, but they will pay for hurting you," "I don't want anyone to pay, I just want you Dean" "And I want you baby" he says as he rubs my cheek.
