Eli’s P.O.V
My original journey of three days took longer than I thought it would because right when I thought I was going in the right direction, I noticed that my GPS was making me go to another place. It was like the witch had cast some spell on her place, not wanting anyone to find her and it just kept sending me round and round in circles. Eventually I managed to find her house and I was surprised at how beautiful it was, nothing like the other dark witches houses I had visited, who didn’t care who knew they were witches or not. I drove up the driveway and parked the car right outside her house. I got out of the car, walked up the white painted steps and onto the porch, but the weird thing was the porch swing on my right that was swinging all by itself. I tried not to pay attention to it as I walked over to the door and knocked, hoping this witch would help me.
Beach’s (the white witch) P.O.V
I knew he was coming as I had been having dreams and visions of a man walking towards my door, so I tried to ward him off by putting a spell over my house. I had done everything I could think of to try and dissuade him from coming here, even essing with his GPS, but he fixed it. Now he was walking up my perfect white painted steps, messing them up with the muddy boot he was wearing and then standing on my porch, knocking on my door. I guess I’ll answer it, he does have money in his bag after all, so whatever he wants he must be desperate to come to a witch with money. I walked over to the door and opened it, but all I saw in the man before me was greed, a hunger for power and death. This man was dangerous and was going to get a lot of people killed, so I put on my fakest smile, trying not to be one of the casualties.
“Well, hello, I’ve been expecting you. Come in, but please take off your muddy boots, I don’t want mud trapsed all through the house.” I said and he did as I had asked, taking off his boots and leaving them outside. He walked into my house, shutting the door behind him and followed me into the living room.
“Come sit at the table with me, something tells me you need and want something.” I said and he still didn’t say anything. He walked over to the table and sat down in the chair that was pulled out for him, sitting opposite me.
“So, what do you want and need? I might be able to help you, but it all depends on what it is.” I asked and he finally cleared his throat, beginning to talk.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude by being so quiet, but your house is just so beautiful. To answer your question I need and want this Alpha wolf female, but I need to get her away from her mate and father first. I need to clean her memory of her father completely and then have her kill him, so I can become the new Alpha Don, the King of the mafia.” The man said and I sat there thinking for a moment of what he had just said. I had heard of there being a king of the mafia, an Alpha Don, but I had also heard that whoever messed with his family would surely die. I just couldn’t remember the name of this man, oh….what the hell was his name? It's on the tip of my tongue and just isn’t coming to me.
“And what may I ask is the name of this mafia king that you wish to clear from the she-wolf’s mind?” I asked, hoping he would give me the name I couldn’t think of.
“His name is Mercury Black and he is the King of the mafia, his youngest daughter is the one I want and I will get, her name is Selena. She is beautiful and she is of age, in case you were worried.” The man said, making me think again. That was it, that was his name, Mercury Black. I knew that name all too well, mainly from others I had met and spoken to. Every single one of them was scared of this man and they all ran for their lives when he was after them and yet this man is going after him. Was he stupid or did he have a death wish? There is no way I am going to help him, but I admit I am curious as to what he was willing to give me for my help. Maybe I could just make something up for him and tell him that it would work on the day, then after he leaves I could give the Alpha Don a call and warn him. Maybe it would work, maybe it wouldn’t but there was only one way to find out, so I turned my attention back to him.
“Sir, I have never heard of this man, so I will help you do what needs to be done, but if you truly need this and want to do this , then it will cost you twenty thousand for my work.” I said and he didn’t bat an eyelash as he grabbed his bag and pulled out stack after stack of cash.
“Okay, come back in a week and your potion will be ready, but be warned if you come back any sooner your post will fade and you will lose the girl, then her father will find you and kill you.” I said and he didn’t look bothered at all. He just nodded and got up from his seat.
“Thank you for your help, I’ll be staying in the hotel four blocks from here. I’ll be back in a week to get the potion.” The man said and I nodded, getting up and walking him to the door. He put his boots back on and got into his car, driving away from my home. I made sure he was gone before I grabbed my phone and called one of my friends who had spoken about Mercury before.
“Hey, I know this is a strange request, but I need Alpha Don Mercury’s phone number.” I said as soon as he answered the phone.
“Yeah, that's a strange request, I hope you know what you're doing. I’ll give you his number, after all he has always said that if anyone ever needs his help to call him, so I’ll text it to you.” He said, then quickly hung up the phone. He was never much of a talker and although I had been his friend for three years I never knew his true name as he changed it every six months for some reason. My phone beeped again and when I looked I saw the text with Mercury’s number, so I clicked on it and listened as it began to ring. The first three times I called he didn’t answer, so I tried again, hoping that this time he would answer or I had no idea what I was going to do.
