Chapter 9

1639 Words
Eli’s P.O.V   A pure black wolf? How could she be a pure black wolf and an Alpha wolf at that? She was meant to be a pure white wolf, one with powers, but she was all black. She would still have powers, but they would be different compared to what I had trained and prepared for. s**t, this was not what I wanted to hear.   “Did you hear me? She’s not a white wolf, she is a pure black Alpha wolf. She also has a mate, who she met when she shifted and he is an Alpha as well. They have already mated and marked each other, they did it the same night she shifted.” He said and I quickly stood up from my chair. I walked around my desk and grabbed him by the throat, squeezing tightly.   “TELL ME AGAIN WHAT SHE IS! TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU SAW!!” I shouted in his face and lifted him up from the ground, pissed off with the whole situation.   “She...she is an all black wolf, she is an Alpha wolf and the night that she shifted it was weird. She was talking to an Alpha and he gave her a ring, but then she took it off and shifted into her wolf. He stayed by her side all the way through her shift, helping her through it, which was unusual considering they had only met not long before her shift. When she shifted back into her human form she went straight to him and took the ring back. They then went to the house and well, they mated and marked each other, completing the bond between them.” He replied and I let go of his neck, letting him drop back on the floor.   “GET DEE IN HERE RIGHT NOW! I DON’T GIVE A f**k WHAT SHE IS DOING I WANT HER IN THIS OFFICE!! NOW!!!” I shouted and he quickly nodded, running out of my office as fast as he could.    Dee’s P.O.V   I was in the living room, sitting on the couch and watching some kind of movie called the mask when suddenly Drew ran in and sat down next to me. I looked at him and he was out of breath, he had red marks on his neck and I knew exactly what had happened and why he was here.   “What the hell does he want now?” I asked, but Drew shook his head and sighed.   “He sent me to tell you that he wants to see you in his office right now. He probably has a job for you or something. He probably has a job for you or something.” Drew replied, but I could tell that he was lying.   “Bullshit. What were you talking to him about before he sent you here?” I said, making him sigh, which only served to prove that I was right.   “I was telling him about the she-wolf he had me watching and then he freaked out, grabbed my throat and lifted me up in the air. He asked me to repeat what I said and then he let me go, screaming at me to come and get you. I don’t know if he wants you to do something in relation to the she-wolf or if it's something else.” Drew replied and I sighed in frustration.   “f**k, I just got back from the last one. He better have my money.” I said, annoyed, getting up from the couch and walking out the living room. I walked towards his office, thinking that this had better be good and not just another wild goose chase like all the other jobs. I didn’t bother knocking and just walked right into his office, slamming the door shut behind me. Eli was standing in front of his desk, pouring over some paperwork and whatever it said seemed to annoy him.   “So nice of you to knock first. I have another job for you, Dee.” Eli said, looking up from the paperwork on his desk.   “Eli, I just got home and I would like to relax for at least a few days before you send me off on another job.” I replied, rolling my eyes at him. Eli quickly grabbed me by my throat before I had a chance to react and picked me up, so that my feet were no longer touching the floor.   “Do not ever speak to me like that again. I am the f*****g Alpha here, what I say goes and you do what I say without question. Is that clear?” Alpha Eli said, getting right in my face. f**k this, I thought as I brought my knee up and kneed him in the stomach. He groaned and let go of me straight away, letting me drop to my feet. I looked at the pitiful excuse for an Alpha on his knees in front of me and brought my knee up again, this time kneeing him in the face.   “Did you forget that I am the reason you are the Alpha here, asshole. If it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be where you are today. Do you understand?” I asked, going to kick him again, but he quickly grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go.    “Now you listen to me, you little b***h. You are going to do what I say, when I say or you will be out of this pack and turned rogue. Now, I want you to go to Mercury’s pack and seduce his youngest daughter's mate, then kill him. I want you to bring that little b***h here, so that I can mark her and make her do whatever I want.” Eli replied, gripping me tighter. I shook my head, refusing to do what he wanted.   “Eli, are you f*****g stupid? Do you remember what Mercury said, that he would kill anyone without mercy if they ever f****d with his family. You will be killed and so will I if I do this.” I said, but he just started to laugh.    “Not before I kill him. I’ll take his daughter and I’ll get a witch to make her forget that Mercury is even her father, then I’ll have her kill him.” Eli replied, shocking me as he shoved me away from him. My back hit against the door, causing me to whimper at the pain I felt, but I quickly covered it up and glared back at Eli.   “You are completely out of your freaking mind. Do you seriously think or expect me to help you with this?” I asked and he chuckled.   “I know you are going to help me, you have no choice or you will be banished from this pack.” Eli replied, but I just rolled my eyes at him again. I wasn’t worried about myself, I was worried about my sister, but he didn’t know about her and I was going to keep it that way.   “If you remember dumbass, I lived on my own for years before you found me. I survived then and I will survive now.” I said, shaking my head, but then he growled at me and his eyes turned black as night. I knew that meant his wolf was taking over, but I wasn’t scared.   “Hello Dee, we both know Eli is f*****g crazy, so get going and tell Mercury everything he needs to know, but do not return here. He will f*****g kill you if you do. You must leave everything behind and run, don’t look back. He’s been planning on killing you for months now, so you must go, right now before he takes over again. I can only hold him for thirty minutes, so go now.” Eli’s wolf Micheal said and I nodded.   “Thank you, Micheal. One day I’ll figure out a way to give you another human, you deserve someone better than this bastard. I’ll see you soon.” I replied and ran out of the office. I ran out of the pack house as fast as my legs could take me and got right into my truck. I knew exactly where I was going, but it was going to take me three to four days to get there by driving. I backed out of the driveway and sped off, kicking up all the dirt and gravel as I did so. How could Eli even ask me to do such a thing, especially to Mercury and Cheyenne? Was he so stupid that he had no idea that I had a connection with them, that they were like family to me? Thankfully because Mercury was the Alpha Don and the King of all the Mafia I was able to mind-link him, plus I had also helped him out a few times and been a member of his pack once, so that made it easier, whereas if he had been just a normal Alpha, then I would have had to have been a member of his pack to talk to him through the mind-link.   “Mercury, it's Dee. I’m heading your way and I need you to be prepared for when I get there. I have a lot to tell you and you're not going to like any of it.” I said, mind-linking him.   “Hey Dee, long time no talk. Sure, come on by and I’ll get your old room ready. We’ll be waiting.” Mercury replied and I ended the link, focusing on my driving. This was going to be hard. Mercury knew nothing about me, while I knew everything about him and it was now time to tell him everything, even about his parents.
