Chapter 7

Mercury’s P.O.V

  I turned around shocked by what had just happened and how quick it had happened, but as soon as I came to my senses I grabbed the guy by the legs and dragged him into the middle of the hallway.

  “Come out, come out, wherever you are. I got your bullet man and it's only a matter of time before I find you too.” I said, calling out to the other two as I dropped the guy's legs. I left Hawk to watch the bullet guy and had Axel and William follow behind me as I started going from bedroom to bedroom, kicking the doors right off the hinges. I walked to one of the bathrooms and saw a pair of shoes sticking out from behind the door, so I grabbed the door and slammed it as hard as I could, banging it into the guy's head. I let go of the door and opened it, grabbing the guy and dragging him out of the bathroom. His head was bleeding from the impact of the door hitting him, but oh well. I threw him into the hallway and William quickly grabbed him, dragging him towards the other guy that Hawk was watching.

  “Now I have another one of your guys, so either you get your ass out here or I’ll kill both of them.” I called out and waited for a few minutes, but I didn’t hear anything back. I stormed through the rest of the house, bashing in every single door and then I saw him. I could see his reflection in the kitchen window and took my guns out of my holsters. I saw him aiming his gun at the doorway where I was standing, but before he could get a shot off I fired my gun and shot him in his right arm. The bullet went through his arm and stuck in the wall, making him drop his gun as he screamed out in pain, clutching his bleeding arm. I opened the door and kicked him in the kneecap, making him drop to the floor, where I continued to kick him in the ribs and head.

  “YOU SON OF A b***h!! YOU THINK YOU CAN HIDE FROM ME?!! YOU BASTARD!! YOU TOOK MY DAUGHTER YEARS AGO, REMEMBER?!!! YOU HUNTED HER DOWN LIKE A f*****g DOG!!! YOU HURT MY BABY AND THOUGHT YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH IT!!! YOUR THE LAST ONE, YOU MOTHERFUCKER!! YOU WERE GOING TO SHOOT HER, YOU WERE GOING TO HANG HER BODY LIKE SHE WAS NOTHING!!! YOU PIECE OF s**t!!!” I shouted and kneeled down so that I was eye level with him. I punched him in the face several times, knocking his teeth out and breaking the guy's nose.

  “DID YOU THINK I WOULD NEVER FIND YOU?!! I ALWAYS KNEW WHERE YOU WERE!!!” I shouted, pissed off.

  “PLEASE! PLEASE HAVE MERCY!! PLEASE MERCURY, IT WAS MY DAD!! HE MADE ME DO IT, HE MADE ME TAKE HER!! HE MADE ME HUNT HER DOWN!!!” The man screamed out, but I just shook my head. There was no excuse for what he did.

  “Axel, hand me that gas can?” I said and Axel nodded, walking out of the house and getting the gas can that I had left on the porch. He brought it back into the house and handed it to me, then stepped back as I began pouring the gas all over the man.

  “I’m going to make you and your two friends over there feel everything that you put my daughter and mate through. You hit my daughter, hunted her down and now I have done the same to you, but you did the unthinkable to my mate. You are going to feel what you made her feel when you set fire to her and tried to burn her alive. You remember that, right? You poured gas on her, set fire to her and left her there to burn to death.” I said and his eyes went wide with terror.

  “NO!!! PLEASE!! NO NO!! PLEASE NO!!!” The man screamed out as I lit the match and dropped it onto the pool of gas. The gas immediately lit up, setting the guy on fire. The guy screamed out in pain and agony as he was burning. The other two guys were still knocked out, but they weren’t going to get away with anything and would suffer just as much as this bastard. 

  Axel’s P.O.V

  I watched as Mercury and the others poured gas all over the house and then lit three more matches, throwing them onto the gas and then leaving the house. The whole house was ablaze in seconds and we stood there watching as it burned and listened to the screams of the three men inside, but then we heard the sound of the sirens coming towards us. We got in the car and drove away from the house, but none of this made any sense to me. 

  “Mercury, what did you mean he hunted your daughter down and tried to burn Luna Cheyenne alive?” I asked, hoping I wasn’t overstepping my bounds. Mercury took a deep breath, shaking his head and at first I thought that he wasn’t going to reply, but then he cleared his throat and looked at me.

  “You're new with us, so I’ll tell you everything that happened, but as soon as we get out of this car we never speak of it again, is that clear?” Mercury said and I nodded. Mercury told me everything that happened when Anna was younger and I was shocked. He told me about how they kidnapped Anna and set Cheyenne on fire, leaving her to die. He told me everything they went through and how they survived. He even told me that was how Anna and William met, which made me look to the front where William was sitting. He nodded and told me how they hunted him down as well at first, but he got away and managed to hide for years, until he found Anna. I was shocked by everything I heard, but I was thankful that everything worked out and now I understood why Mercury did what he did to those three men.

  “Now that I have told you let it go and never speak of it again, understand?” Mercury asked and all I could do was nod. When the car pulled up to the pack house we all got out and not a single one of us said anything further about it. I didn’t speak to Selena about what had happened as she was already asleep when I got back, so I took a shower in her room and then laid down next to her, just wanting to hold her tightly. Now I knew why everyone was so scared of Mercury. He would hunt down and kill everyone and anyone that hurt his family. I tried to sleep that night, but I knew I was just like Mercury. I would do anything for my family as well and if anyone ever hurt them I would hunt them down and kill them too.
