Edward's POV
'Whats wrong? Do they have her? IS SHE OKAY?' I yelled out loud, while starting to approach the direction the boy was at.
'COME ON NOW! SAY SO-'
That's when I noticed her. She looked so small, smaller than I have ever seen her in my life. Her clothes looked torn and she was hurt. I could smell the blood from where I stood. She was panting and her heart was racing. None of which was good for her. For her age, she shouldn't be in such condition and one more minute and she might faint
'Mother'
I yelled out but that's when I noticed another person in the vicinity.
I was so worried about her that I hadn't noticed anything else or anyone else. There was a girl standing a little in front of her and to the other side was a big group of the rogue werewolves.
But she did something completely crazy. It took me a while to understand what she was doing. The human growl by her had gotten the attention of werewolf at her. She wasn't even a wolf, that was absolute bat s**t crazy.
'Tonto'
I muttered and looked at the rest of the pack. They knew what to do. Taking a slow pace towards the rest of the pack, they had almost reached them when the werewolf looked at Maria again.
There was no time for waiting anymore and I started to run towards the werewolf at the front.
It must have been a blink of an eye when I noticed her looking at me and then she did the stupid thing again and growled back.
'Nooooo don't!'
I was in time to catch Maria as she pushed her to the side, but I wasn't fast enough to catch her too
'Leave me! I am fine! Get the girl!'
'Loca Abualea'
I cursed and reached for the girl whose face was covered with a cloth, but she had the most prettiest eyes I have ever seen in my life. Big Black Eyes looking into my soul and smiling as if they had found peace just now.
'She is broken'
For some reason, I could feel a lump in my throat as I spoke those words. Her soft body was just hit by a big wolf and it felt really fragile right now
'Oh Dear, She isn't breathing well. Call the ambulance' Maria was standing next to me as I kept holding the girl who had just saved me and Maria both.
'Tonto'
I heard the sound of the sirens of the ambulance and looked around. I wish I could heal the humans as well as I did to wolves.
Most of the wolves had been taken down and a few had run away including the one which was standing at front. I could hear the chatters around me and the ringing of the phones. Maria was sitting in the ambulance as well. She was a wolf too but an old wolf. She should have been more careful. I had lectured had as well, but still I wasn't feeling fine at all.
There was usually no care about any human in my heart except for the pack I was living in and yet, today, I could feel my heart pounding as they had taken the girl on a stretcher in front of us. I wanted to go with them, follow her on my bike. But I had held back. It wasn't my usual behaviour to care for a girl like that.
I picked up the phone from Boss
'Is she alright?'
'Yes...Yes we were-' My gaze fell on Maria again and then my thoughts went to her
'Tell me, Do I need to send more guys?'
'Huh? Ummm No, she is fine, we are fine.There was just...one girl who got hurt'
'One girl?'
'Yes, I will tell you everything once I am back. We should leave now.'
I was about to hang up, when I remembered
'The cops? Noah got them?' I didn't have to ask this, since I was almost sure about it, but since he was my Beta, I had to know.
'Ah yes! But he got caught'
'Caught? How the hell he got caught? He is even better than me on a bike'
'He said that he has a scent of his mate as he was leaving the mansion and got distracted'
'His mate?'
'Come home now.I want to see Mother'
'Dont say anything, I already lectured her'
'Fine I won't-'
'Also, one more thing, She said to bring the girl home'
'Wh-'
I disconnected before he could say anything else. Except for the pack woman, we had never had a girl at the mansion. It was a rule for all of us. We could go out and meet girls, we could also have fun with them during parties, but no girl should stay for the night.
Maria has been against it, and so was the Boss, who had followed her steps. According to her since we all have one mate, and even if it might take long to find them, we should not bring other girls home at all.
Everyone who has been caught doing so was living outside the mansion now, on their own, so none of the rest could even think about committing this sin.
But she was allowing this girl to stay with us. I could only imagine the havoc that was supposed to fall on the mansion now or the protest we would see.
I chuckled on the thought of it. I like chaos, especially when they didn't include me at all.
It should be fun, watching them all burn with rage when they couldn't do anything at all about it.
Signalling to the other boys who have came with us, a waved to the ambulance as well and started to head back to the mansion.
