First Night of Freedom

She sat where she was instructed to and was immediately served a bowl of chicken and rice soup. “Your favorite, and it's good for you. Eat.” He father said. “I was told there would be wine.” She said. “Of course! There is always wine. In the meantime, soup.” She started to eat the soup. “Now start at the beginning. What did that pig do to you?” She sighed. “It's been a long day, Father.” “I know. But you can't go to sleep with this hurt on your heart. Let it out.” And she did. She started at the beginning and spared no detail. Her father would get it out of her if she tried to anyway. He listened as she spoke, getting up to serve her salad and chicken. He poured her wine wordlessly. “Say something, dad.” “I do not know what to say. When we arranged that marriage so many years ago, this was not your intended husband. He was to remain true and loyal to you. I should've done more when you pulled back in the first place, but you were an adult and needed to make your own decisions. I'm sorry I wasn't there.” “I don't think you could've prevented this father. No one could. I was a good wife to him. I deserve better.” “Yes you do. I'm glad that you see that, too. The best part about having money is that this is resolved quickly. She nodded. The papers were signed, and she was rid of him. “Now, I don't expect you to want to work right away. It's normal to take time for yourself and grieve the loss you're suffering.” “No father. I expect to be in the office by 8 am.” “Work day does not start until 9.” He said. “I know, but I have an office to tend to first. I can't work in disarray.” “As you wish.” Her father said. “Your room is prepared as you like it. I assume you'd want to retire soon if you're planning an early day at the office.” “I could use a bath and some sleep.” She agreed. “I'll leave you to it. If you need anything, you know you can find me. Adonis, too. He's around here somewhere.” She laughed, grateful that her family was so supportive. She stood from the table and hugged her father. “Thank you for everything. I love you.” “And I love you. Sleep well.” She climbed the staircase to her room. She found her suitcases in her walk-in closet, and her office boxes stacked in what was once her attached playroom. It had been modified in high school for a private space for her to work on school work, effectively her first office. She couldn't help but smile again. She hadn't felt this whole in ages. Despite her marriage ending, she didn't feel the sadness that accompanied heartbreak. She walked into her bathroom and turned on the taps. While the bath was filled, she put her clothes away in dressers and closets. She chose and added Jasmine scented bubble bath and selected a simple night gown. She lowered herself into the tub and allowed the water to cover her curves. She felt the stress of her day melt away as she watched the steam rise above the bath. “She didn't even care.” Matthew grumbled to Mara. “I have a beautiful woman in my bed, and she just called another man and left. How could she do that?” “Maybe she didn't truly love you.” Mara offered. “She did. She was a good wife. Spent all my money, but she took care of everything.” “Darling, the last thing I want to hear is praise for your ex-wife. You only married her because of your grandfather.” “I'm sorry, Mara. My mind is just all over the place. I'm sure I'll be better after some rest.” “I can think of a few other things we can do to take your mind off of her.” Mara cooed, running her fingertips along his chiseled abdomen. “Don't think I didn't see how you looked at her date either.” He scowled. “I was just in shock that she brought someone here.” She started to play with the waistband of his shorts. “That was a bold move.” She wrapped her hand around his c*ck and started to stroke it. He let out a low moan of approval, and she felt him start to stiffen. “Now, let's focus on where we left off earlier.” She said, pulling his shorts down. She took him into her mouth and started bobbing her head up and down his shaft, running her tongue over his tip. He started thrusting and felt himself hitting the back of her throat. “Oh baby, take all of me.” He groaned, pushing her head down further. She felt his c*ck start to swell, and she tried to pull her head back. He continued thrusting until he exploded into the back of her throat. “You're right, Mara, that's exactly what I needed.” He said. Then he pulled up and adjusted his shorts and rolled over to go to sleep, leaving Mara to sit in a stunned silence before she went to the kitchen for a glass of water. She returned to the bedroom to find him snoring loudly. She sighed and rolled her eyes. This was not something that she wanted to happen regularly, but she also didn't want to wake him to complain. She was so close to having everything her heart desired. She couldn't ruin it over one bl*w job. Antonia stepped out of the bath and wrapped herself in a fluffy towel. She toweled her light hair and took in her reflection. She liked what she saw. Her hazel eyes glowed with a light she had lost long ago, and her light brown hair perfectly framed her face. She applied cream to her face and dressed for bed. Before falling asleep, she sent a text to Rosalee, telling her everything that had happened and that she would see her in the office. Then she set her alarm for the first time in years and settled in to sleep.
