Reid Pov

it's been a few days since I've had heard from my son Conner, he usually gives me a call when Alyssa is a sleep, he better not be trying to betray me, i will destroy that boy if he tries to do anything that i do not like, i decided to give him a call and ask him about Conny, if he or anyone had seen her. I will know for sure if he is lying to me. I picked my phone up from the desk and clicked on his number. The phone rang a few times then he answered the phone.

“Hey dad, sorry I haven't called. i've been trying to keep Cindy and Alyssa away from each other, Cindy is in a cell she won't be able to be out until the party is over. not to mention she is pi$$ed at me for marking her. and her.” I tried telling her it's only for a year then she could mark me to cover up the mark, but she is still angry because i can’t get her out.” I couldn’t help myself. I was laughing at him. Cindy is still alive, they must not had that strong of a bond after all, including she's in a cell because she attacked Alyssa, my plan is working, if she stays in that cell, I will be burning it down to the ground once i'm there. i do not trust this boy at all, he had told me she was dead., but then again she is in a cell for attacking Alyssa. it doesn't matter because like i said before if she is in there she won't be alive when i set it on fire with everyone still inside. I might just do the same with the pack house, maybe even the grandhall. i have so many ideas, i also heard that Violet, Jordons mate is pregnant, it gives me a idea about that, if he does not give me his pack, his wife and unborn child will die. he thinks i'm not serious, i will show him how serious i really am,

Jordon pov

it is now a few days before the dance, i was starting to regret all of this. But when the alpha came wanting us to do one for him to find his mate, I told him I would. But he ended up finding his mate at a horse ranch, i had everything coming, so I thought I might as well have it, it could have been fun. But now there's danger and he is wanting to hurt everyone. I was starting to worry about Violet, I wondered if she would just stay out of the hall for three nights? But I know she wouldn't. She would want to watch her daughter dance with her mate. that will be one more week for her to be a young adult and she will be leaving us to go with her mate to her own pack. My little girl wont be so little anymore, she will be a young adult going off in the world, She came to me the other day and told me that lexus will not stop her from traveling or going to college, she said that she will be going to the college that he owns but she will have to study, he won't let them pass her because she is his mate, I am grateful for that. I want her to work for what she wants. I don’t want things handed to her, and she knows this. I want her to be independent, and she is well off to do such a thing. Violet just walked into my office with a big smile on her face. This is my chance to ask her if she would. I doubt she would. and I dare not Alpha command her to stay away from the dance. I do not want another argument, she walked over sat in my lap,

"Honey, Can i ask you something?”

‘Sure, As long as you do not ask me to stay away from the hall, I am not going to miss my daughter dancing with her mate. I might be pregnant, but I can still watch and make sure the kids do not start any trouble. Besides, Alyssa already told me what you were going to talk to me about. You have to remember honey to block your thoughts from her.” s**t, I had forgotten all about that power she has. I am just glad she doesn't know about the party I plan for her birthday. everyone is on it. I told them to keep their thoughts blocked from her that way she wont know about it. But we will see. “I only want to keep you and the baby safe sweetheart. I do not want anything to happen to yall, it just worries me honey, that's all.”

‘I know your worried, But you need to remember, im not weak. I am just pregnant. He will be coming soon enough and I will be back to training after I heal. if the danger gets too dangerous i will go to the safe room until the danger is gone okay. Will that make you happy?”

"Yes, that makes me very happy. Have you decided on a name for our baby boy?”

“Honey, I named Alyssa, you need to name our son. He will be the next Alpha in line until you decide to step down or when he finds his mate. whichever comes first,”

“Well we still have a few more weeks for him to be born i will think of a name then I hope, Are you ready to eat, because i'm starved,. i think everyone should be in the dining hall right now?”

"Yes I am starving and the baby is as well.” We headed toward the dining hall, once we entered everyone stopped talking and looked at us smiling,

“Hey everyone, good after noon, let us feast on this good meal and have joy in our hearts, let's sit down and talk with each other, they nodded and sat back down, the cooks brought out the food, today was hamburgers with all the fixings even Chili and coleslaw, with lettuce and everything else, and for the drink sweet tea, water, or whatever they wanted to drink. Tomorrow morning will be pancakes and sausage. with eggs, i knew Volite will be chowing down in the morning, she loves pancakes and sausage and eggs. We sat there eating and chatting with everyone, I kept one eye on Alyssa and her mate. I could tell Lexus has really fallen for my daughter. I just hope it stays that way, I took a look around at all the people that were in here. I would lay my life down for them, including the cooks. and the cleaners. they are all my friends and family, when someone gets sick, i am right there asking what they need or if they need any meds or anything to eat, My father had trained me well, he has always said,

Conner had told me this morning that his father had called him, that he had forgotten to call him the past couple of days, he can't forget anymore or he will wonder what is going on, he told his father that Cindy is in the cells for attacking Alyssa, and will stay in there until the dance is over, i asked him did he forget that he told him that Cindy was dead. the look of shock on his face said it all,

“But sir, he did not even mention that, my guess is that he forgot that i had told him this, maybe he will leave her alone when he comes and sees that she now has a mate. but he will flip his wig when he finds out that Conny is here with her mate.”

“Look its not big deal, but Conny will not come out until it's time she will be wearing something that he will not recognize he won't be able to know that it's her, by the time he realizes it's her, it will be to late, Are you still going to challenge your father, for the right to be alpha?”

“Yes, I am, i feel that i could be a better alpha for this pack,. besides everyone there wants to help me get rid of my own dad, when it gets down to it, i hope i can handle what i will be doing,”

“Conner, you know we will all be there for you, all you have to do is give us the hint., or just look at us, and we will be there okay, do not ever think you are alone in this. because your not, he has done so much that many wants him gone, they are leaving it up to you because he is your father,”

“Yes sir, I just hope I can do what needs to be done, until then he will be a danger to everyone. his power hungry and that needs to end, if we let him go, he will just keep coming after everyone,”

Mariah pov

They were out here watching us. Helm and Cindy were out running when they came back they shifted and got dressed. They walked over to us. I did what Alyssa had instructed me to do. I kicked her with a slight twist to my foot. She went flying back but her mate caught her before she fell hard on the ground.

"That's awesome. But you need to twist your foot a little more. Not by hurting yourself. But when you do that, the Kick will send the person twisting and flying back. Not to mention it may send them flipping and flying back. It all depends on how you move your foot. Do you want to go again?"

"Yeah I do. But we've been at this for five hours now. And we need to go shopping for our dresses for the party tomorrow."

"Dam"n that's right. Well let's go take showers and i'll meet you back out here beside my jeep. So we ran to shower, Conner had other ideas. My five minute shower turned into an hour shower with the water going cold. When I finally got out to the jeep. Alyssa was tapping her fingers on the hood of her jeep. She didn't look very happy.

"you picked the wrong day to go shopping if he is going to bump and grind you for an hour." I couldn't help but laugh. What in the world did she say? So I decided to ask her.

"What did you just say? Bump and grind?" she smirked at me, the said

"You know, bump uglies. Do the deed the humpty dumpty," Rolling my eyes I laughed once again, I haven't heard those sayings in years. It was just too much.she might not like what I had to say. But I'm going to say it anyway.

"Alyssa. You know once you turn eighteen, you're going back with your mate. Like when the danger is gone. I'm going back with Conner. You and Lexus will be doing all of that once you are home with him. Have you told him it won't be your first time?"

"s**t no. My parents don't even know. If they knew they would have my head on a silver platter for crying out loud. You think I want to get onto trouble?"

"No, but I think you need to tell Lexus so he won't think he is popping your cherry for the first time. You know how men are. Don't let his ego go too far okay. You will give him a fat head with an ego. And when he finds out. He might get mad."

"Girl. It only happened twice. Then I broke up with him after he cheated on me. He said he needed someone that wanted it all the time. I wasn't about to give it up at the drop of a hat to a human that wasn't my mate. I was just sick of waiting. That's all. I wanted to see what everyone was talking about. But it wasn't fireworks. I guess I will find out once me and Lexus go at it. We will see what happens. Come on, let's go shopping. Lexus gave me his credit card. He told me to buy whatever I wanted. But I'm not using his card. I'm using mine that dad gave me. I don't want him thinking I'm with him because he's got money." We drove off to the mall. Alpha Jordon owns the werewolf mall, but not only wolves do there to shop. There's werebears and werecats shop there as well. We sometimes smell humans. So we have to be careful of what we do. Once we got to the mall, we went into the dress shop. I went for the formal dresses but the sexy ones. I want Conner to see what I look like dressed up. I think the dress I will be wearing won't last too long on my body. I picked out five dresses and so did Alyssa. We went inside the fitting room and tried them on. I loved the little blue dress. It fit perfectly. It was sleeveless. And had a check with a slit on the left side. When I came out she was already done.

"Did you pick out your dress?"

"Sure did. I picked two. One for the dance, one for my birthday. I'm sure Lexus will love them" we also got shoes to match hair clips, jewelry and new make up. Soon it was time to head back. I was tired from training and walking for hours, I was starting to get hungry, and all I wanted to do was sit back and relax. Eat and maybe have a glass of wine.

"Are you ready to head back, my feet are starting to hurt?"

"I thought you would never say that, let's get home, I'm starting to miss Lexus," we headed home, I thought this girl was going to get a speeding ticket the way she was driving. Both Conner and Lexus was waiting for us when we got back, Alyssa jumped into her mate arms forgetting that her parents were outside she gave him a deep kiss, we all heard a growl.

Dad, calm down. I just miss my mate , that's all. I'm sure you and mom where like this when y'all were younger,"

"Doesn't matter, your still my daughter," he got elbowed in the ribs by her mom,

"Honey calm down, she will be eighteen soon, she's right you know we were worse than that, So stop with the overbearing, it was only a kiss, we have more things to worry about than our daughter kissing her mate."
