Grim
The car drive passed in silence, we were one street from Kate's previous house and I stopped the engine. Her eyes widened at me and I saw my son holding her hand in the backseat. She looked like a deer in the headlights, but there was something peculiar about her eyes. Their unique color reminded me of the sunset at the beach.
- Kate. - I called her name and she shivered before shaking her head and trying to sound calm.
- Yes? - I smiled at her and we shared a glance with Donna. She immediately understood what was going on my mind as usual, and giggled excitedly. I looked at Kate again and asked.
- Would you like to drive? - her little jaw dropped and Dean laughed at the expression she made.
- I... I don't have a license. - that's all she could mumble. Donna turned back to look at her encouragingly.
- Come on sweety! It's just one street.
- Why do you want me to drive? - she asked and Dean scratched the back of his neck.
- I haven't told her about that yet. - he confessed and a black mist hit the back of his neck before Donna sighed.
- My sweety, Grim can see what your heart desires. - Kate looked at me with fear but her eyes immediately diverted at Dean.
- Do you....? - she started but couldn't finish the sentence. Dean lifted his hands up in defense.
- No!!!! Not yet! I'll see those stuff only if I become Death officially, and that hopefully never comes. - I raised and eyebrow at my son and he shrugged.
- I like being the extra. - he said and I could understand him perfectly. He was born not created, his values and view of the world is different. I taught him just in case, but being an immortal entity had its advantages. For example, I'll never have to force my son to take my place like many humans did throughout the history.
- Kate, worry not! Grim is extremely good at keeping secrets and he'd never interfere with your life or take advantage of his abilities. - Donna said kindly. Kate started to relax and nodded.
- Understood. Sorry, this whole situation is a bit overwhelming at first. - Donna giggled and Dean kept holding Kate's hand.
- Let her go son, she is not a balloon. - I said and Dean's eyes widened at me. Donna laughed by my side and I got out of the car.
- Come on Kate, show to him what he dreamed of.- Kate took a seat behind the wheel, I've explained her how to use the wheel and pedals before getting in the car by her side and Donna sat back cheering for her with Dean. I was happy that he took of her more, I loved Donna because she remained authentic and even alive after death. She showed me everything I've ever dreamed of, feelings I've never felt before and places I never knew. She always said that I saved her, but in reality, she saved me and probably the entire Earth. Without Donna, I would've kept persuading my family to start everything from zero. Kate grabbed the wheel and drove the Cadillac to her old house like a professional. The front door immediately opened and a fat, disgusting man rushed out. He barely had any hair on top of his head and he smelled like alcohol.
- Kit! Where the f**k have you been?! What is this all about?! And get out of that precious car before you ruin it! - I felt a feeling Donna told me about. It was utter disgust. I stepped out of the car after Kate and put a hand on her shoulder.
- We came for Kate's belongings. - I said and he laughed.
- And who the f**k are you?! - he asked pointing at me.
- My name is Grimaldey Reaper, and we are Kate's new foster family. - I answered, showing him the official documents. His eyes turned dark and he spit towards Kate.
- You ungrateful brat! Is this why we raised you?! We spent a lot on you and your hobbies! Who's gonna pay that money back?! - I rolled my eyes and took my wallet out. I picked my checks and asked.
- How much? - his eyes widened.
- What? - he asked and grinned with greed seeing the checks and the expensive watch on my wrist.
- I'll have to discuss it with my wife. - he ran inside and I looked at Kate.
- I'm not surprised you'd choose death so easily. - she opened her mouth to say something, but her ex foster mother came out and she tried to smile kindly, but looked more delusional and greedy than kindness.
- Hello, so you are willing to pay for the little w***e? Good. She is still a virgin so it would be more. - I took a step back feeling my anger rise. How... How could she say that?! Why are humans still so filthy? Life you should've never allowed this! - I thought and a hand touched my shoulder. I saw the man's lustful stare at my Donna and the woman's jealousy.
- Is everything alright, Honey? - she asked sweetly and I quickly explained the situation. Donna giggled and asked the husband.
- Do you really think my husband would pay for a child for entertainment when he has me?- he shook his head and it was hilarious how his attitude changed immediately seeing Donna. She truly turned out to be like the flower I made for her. Gorgeous but deadly. I opened my mouth to ask, how much they want when a trembling hand touched mine.
- Please, put that away. - Kate said looking at the wallet in my hand.
- Who do you think you are?! - her ex-father asked and raised his hand to hit Kate, but Donna caught it before me. She smiled and twisted the man's arm while she looked into the wife's eyes.
- Stop testing our patience. - she released her screaming husband and stepped over him after he laid in the grass whimpering in pain.
- Kate, shall we collect your things.? - Kate nodded and they headed into the house leaving me alone with two humans, whose places I already had in mind. Soon, Donna and Kate walked out with a suitcase and a plush otter.
- Is that all? - I asked and Kate nodded.
- Fantastic! Let's go then. - the husband grabbed my arm and shouted.
- Hey! And our money?! - I shrugged.
- What money?
- FOR THE LITTLE SLUT! - Bum! Something hit the guy so hard that the sound echoed in the forest behind the house, scaring the birds away.
- I'm not a slut! - Kate shouted and her hand trembled as she looked at him. I saw that she wanted to hit him till he breathes. I leaned closer and whispered.
- Five years, three of them full of agony, worry not, they have a VIP seat already. Luci is going to love them.- Kate smiled and thanked us everything. Donna chuckled
- Oh, come on sweety! That's what a family is for! - I saw that this feeling and meaning of the concept of family, was totally new for her.
- Shall we go home? - Dean asked and I nodded starting the engine and taking one last look at those despicable human trashes. Donna noticed my anger and put a hand on mine.
- They'll soon perish, don't get annoyed and keep them alive to suffer! - Donna said and her golden eyes sparkled wickedly. I held her hand, gave a kiss on top of it, and with a smile I said.
- I'd love to send them over, asap.
- Where is the fun in that?! - Donna asked and I've kissed my wicked little soul.
