Kiara's Point of View I woke up to the sound of someone screaming. I sat up in the bed, and I noticed my room was dark. As I reached for my phone, I heard the scream again, got out of my bed, and ran for Ava's room. I pushed the door open, and Ava was holding onto the bedpost hunched over. I flipped the light switch on and said, "What's wrong?" "AH," She screamed, and when I walked over to her, I noticed a puddle of water. "The baby is coming?" I asked, and she nodded her head. I began to panic on the inside. "Where is Tyler?" She was breathing heavily. "He got called for an emergency. We need to go. I'm not having this baby in my bedroom," She said as she grabbed me. We began to walk slowly through the house and then outside. We had to stop several times because of the contractions and then for her to catch her breath. Finally, I helped her into the truck and then ran over to the driver's side. "Keys?" I asked, and she pointed to the sun visor. I pulled it down, and the keys fell onto my lap. My hands were shaking as I put the keys into the ignition, and once the truck was started, I began to drive. "Where is Tyler?" She was holding onto the armrest and squeezed it as another contraction hit. "I need a doctor right now," She said in an evil voice. "Okay, okay," I said as I turned the truck towards the main house. I had no clue where the hell I was going. As I began to drive, I saw a truck coming from the right of us, and I began to honk and turned the hazard lights on. Ava was in a lot of pain and screaming. I knew if I didn't get someone to help us, we would be screwed. But, I had no clue where to go, and it was dark. The truck pulled up next to us, and I rolled down my window while they rolled down the passenger window. I noticed it was Caleb, and he was about to say something when Ava let out another scream. "Holy s**t," He said as he turned his truck off and ran over to the driver's side door. He opened the door, and I scooted over, and he got in. "I need a hospital," Ava screamed as another contraction came. "I don't know how to get ahold of Tyler?" I said. Caleb took off like a mad man towards the main road and grabbed his phone from his pocket. "He is under his name. Code is eight, zero, zero, six." I took the phone and did as he instructed. "Caleb, where the hell are you with the tool I need," A very anger Tyler said as he picked. "Tyler, it's Kiara," and before I could say anything, Ava screamed out in pain again. "Where are you?" He said with worry in his voice. "Caleb found us and parked his truck on one of the roads. He is driving us to the hospital." "On my way," And the phone went dead. Caleb was speeding, and Ava was squeezing my hand. It took us about twenty minutes to get to the hospital, and I decided at that moment I never wanted kids. As Caleb ran into the emergency room, several staff members came running out of the entrance. One of the nurses opened the door and began to talk to Ava, while another one told me to get out and then climbed in. I walked over to Caleb and grabbed his hand. Ava was in so much pain, and as they got her into a wheelchair, Tyler's truck came speeding up. He put the truck in park and was halfway out of the truck when Ava began to scream again. "Park it, please," He said as he threw the keys at Caleb and ran towards his wife. I watched as they went into the hospital, and when they disappeared, I looked at Caleb, but he was already looking at me. I shivered because his stare was intense. "We should park the trucks and then call your mom. She won't want to miss this." "Okay, honey. I'll take Tylers and call mom while you park Ava's truck." I nodded, and as I tried to remove my hand from his, he pulled me into a hug and kissed my head. I pulled the truck into an empty spot, and Caleb parked the other truck next to mine. He was on the phone, and when he was done, I watched as he opened the door, and I did the same. "Mom and dad are on their way." "Good." When we walked into the emergency room, we were directed where to go, and as we were walking down the hall, Caleb grabbed my hand. Since we were not allowed in the room with Ava right now, a nurse showed us to the family waiting room. I was so thankful I wasn't Tyler right now because Ava hates pain, and when she is in pain, she turns into a bit of devil. I thought Caleb would let go of my hand when we sat down, but he didn't, and when his parents walked in, he still didn't let go. His mother noticed and raised her eyebrows, and I blushed, but Caleb didn't seem phased. As we were all chatting, a nurse walked in and said, "I am looking for a Kiara." "That is me. Is everything okay with Ava?" I asked. I was worried. "Ava's husband is asking that you come into the room." "What exactly did my brother say?" Caleb said, causing the young nurse to blush. "He said to get her mother beeping friend in here before she kills me." I burst out laughing because Ava is not a good person when she is in pain. "What is she doing to him?" I asked. "She punched him. So could you please save him before she kills the poor man? I've never seen a pregnant woman become so violent before with anger," The nurse said. Before I stood up, Caleb whispered, "hurry back." I nodded and walked out of the waiting room with the nurse.
