Nadine pov I felt a pang of pain throughout my body as I woke. The room was draped in a pale, sterile light that made me squint. I found myself in one of the hospital rooms, dressed in patients' clothes. Confusion washed over me like a tidal wave as I tried to recall what had happened. As I tried to sit up from the bed, I felt some pain, but I pushed through and managed to sit up. Weakness coursed through my limbs, making it a challenging effort.
